If we can keep the game at 0-0 from start to finish, then the game can go either way. Good luck to our girls. We can do it.

Are you certain about this because this Tosin boy has on several occasions stated that the England dream has been rubber stamped on his mind. Hope he is not using Nigeria to catch cruise ooo

FIFA Yet To Give Ex Germany Youth International Defender All Clear To Play For Super Eagles
Owngoalnigeria

The chance of Nigeria having former Germany youth international Jordan Torunarigha for their final Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers game against Sao Tome and Principe has taken a huge knock, OwnGoalNigeria.com can exclusively reveal.

Torunarigha represented Germany from U16 up to U23 level but has now decided to pledge his international allegiance to Nigeria, a move that is coming five years after he turned down the chance of a possible World Cup appearance with Nigeria.

In 2018, he claimed he turned down the chance on the advice of his father, a former Nigeria international in Ojokojo Torunarigha but he said he feels he is more suited to the pressure of playing for Nigeria now.

His wish has however suffered a set back with sources saying the Gent defender is yet to get the necessary papers to complete his switch of nationality process from FIFA. His application is yet to be approved.

There is no timeline for the approval, a situation which has put his chances of representing Nigeria in September in huge doubt, even though the coach of the Nigerian team Jose Peseiro is keen on having him for the game in Uyo.

Ucheibe10 was a beast defensively but when it has to do with attack, count her out. She was shooting wayward shots from range and giving the ball back to the opponent when attempting to clear, instead of finding a teammate, to maybe initiate a counter.
Ucheibe was everywhere in that game.

Nnadozie - seems she has a knee injury
Ucheibe
Abiodun

These were the stars in that match.

Why does Randy make his substitutions late? Why bringing in Kanu, Okoronkwo & Echigini late?

Onyi Echegini is arguably my favorite since Okobi isn’t in the Squad… Again we all must also take note that the whole of Nigeria, Africa and the World at large are really waiting to see what she has to especially with the dropping of Ngozi Okobi.. I just pray she doesn’t disappoint because with this kind of Opportunity she might hold on to that AM position for long if she delivers..

Imagine Christy Ucheibe 22yrs, Onyi Echegini 22yrs.. I’m still waiting on a Central Midfielder of same age with them to step into the show soon.
NFF must invest in the youthful players and bring them on. Players like Nicole Payne, Peace Efih, Flourish Sebastian, Esther Onyenezide, Ajakaiye etc should all be drafted into the Super Falcons after this world cup no matter the outcome

NFF Reacts To Randy Waldrum’s Bombshell Interview
The director of communication of the NFF, Ademola Olajire gave FA’s position on Waldrum’s insistence of lack of support and internal sabotage.
“We have to first ask when the European season ended. The man wanted a two-week camping for only home-based professionals (whom he already gave very little consideration in his provisional list).
“Like two weeks ago, he released his final list of 23, meaning there was absolutely no need for any camping for home-based again except to simply waste resources.
“Instead of admitting his glaring deficiencies, he’s there shooting his mouth off.
“He knows he will not have Rasheedat Ajibade and Halimatu Ayinde (two key players) for the opening match against Canada, yet he left out Ngozi Okobi and Regina Otu from the squad!
“The NFF felt it would make more sense for the 23 to go straight to Australia and camp for 15/16 days to acclimatize to the weather and conditions.
“The NFF wanted him to groom a home-based goal tender like Chiamaka Nnadozie was groomed. Instead, he kept bringing Yewande Balogun (who actually started as a goalkeeper coach!) all the time without consideration for a home girl. The same lady has only kept goal in one friendly match in over 2 years (and only because Chiamaka was badly injured in a friendly in Mexico earlier this year).
“His outbursts are nothing but an after-thought. He’s talking only 3 days to the team’s departure to the World Cup.”

With all these allegations and counter allegations going on between NFF & Randy coupled with no friendlies or preparation plans for the World cup, if Super Falcons qualify from that group, then it will be a miracle.

I don't even know what to believe on this thread anymore because NEPA no gree me watch this match. Some folks here think the keeper was good because he saved 2 goal bound opportunities from the Sierra Leoneans while others think he was poor. Between Iwobi and Aribo, please who performed better?

This is the part where @The Supernerd should come in with his analysis of individual performance.

Another reason why I sincerely have reservations about Okobi. I've said it over and again here, if I were Waldrum, the last time Okobi will play for me was when she went on that live and made a mess of her entire team.

Just hours after the world cup list is released she's reacting like this?

Don't get me wrong, I think she has a right to her reactions and rumours has it that until a few days ago her name was on the list, but a team player will probably wait till the end of the competition, and even at that be circumspect with her speech.

The height of it for me was when she said to the entire world that Randy didn't know anything, like your coach? Whatever your reservations are you should never say that about your boss, much more to the entire world.
That was immature & unprofessional of her

well a 6'3 defender who is very imposing on the goal and has a crack for header as he scored 8 goals in 36 apps, well he rejected rohr terribly at first for the 2018 world cup but changed his mind being he is 25 and Germany doesn't need him, would be an upgrade on our center back
He would perfectly replace Ekong

SportsRe: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by solonnachi: 2:23pm On Jun 11, 2023
Other African countries like South Africa, Zambia & Morocco are fine tuning their preparations for the World cup with friendlies but we are still stock with which player to include in our provisional list because of a home based player that NFF officials insist must be included because of FIFAs monetary bonus. I don't see Nigeria scaling beyond first round to be frank. If Waldrum finally leaves, its over for Nigerian women football. I heard that he has been paid his 7 out of 14 months salary.
