This is what happens when national team call up is for the highest bidder.

Imagine calling up players from the English 9th division, a player from Azerbaijan 2nd Division just signed a few weeks ago. Players with no clubs.

Wouldn't be surprised if Salisu gets rewarded with another national team job.

Bunch of mediocres
The U20 flying eagles would have done better than this team

Our Olympic eagles will be playing today against Guinea in Rabat, Morroco. Wishing Salisu & the boys all the best. Hope they beat Guinea blue black

We won a very difficult game while playing some classy football. I like Peserio's ideology of tip-tap-one-two football.
The coach did his job today, but some players (especially in attack) let the team down!
Too much selfishness and ego our attack.
It could have easily been 3 to 4 nil
Nevertheless, more training and playing together will help our players better understand each other.
Overall, it was such an entertaining game.
We just need just a win to qualify.
Osayi is such a steal!
Good job, boys! We move!
Osayi is the only good thing Peserio did for us

For the return leg tomorrow, we should line up a tried and tested defence, no more of this Bassey gaffes that might prove costly. I would hope Omeruo and Semi Ajayi start as CBs this time, to the best of my knowledge Omeruo has never put in a wrong foot for Nigeria whenever he plays...just unfortunate he has been largely overshadowed by the Balogun and Ekong partnership. Ajayi on the other hand is reliable in that role.

full backs should be Osayi Bright and Bruno Onyemaechi (Zaidu should be benched).

Midfield should be Onyeka and Ndidi to lock down and protect that back 4, while Iwobi plays CLOSER to the attacking cause it was inconceivable seeing Iwobi playing deep in the first leg! All this is all speculative of course because I don't know what formation Peseiro will go with, but he has to go with a more cautious yet attacking 4231 formation...play Osimhen as a lone striker and ditch this 442 rubbish. Osimhen thrives more as a lone striker, on the wings we might have to go with Ahmed Musa for his pace and experience and Chukwueze...if Peseiro decides to go with his usual 442, then just play Moffi and Osimhen together and we will score goals.
I feel Aniagboso should replace Uzoho in goal abeg

This is my problem with the NFF. Our U23 eagles recorded a barren draw at home and are scheduled to leave Nigeria for Morocco for the 2nd leg on Sunday night while their Guinean counterparts are already in Morocco since Friday evening. We are not just serious in this country.

BTW, Guinea Bissau would score another

How has the u23 preparation for Guinea being going? Any of the foreign pros in camp including Orban?

Ahmed Musa is the captain and still playing professional football. Maguire was called up despite Smalling and Tomori's performance this season! Ahmed Musa changed the game immediately he came on for Simon in our last AFCONQ. He gave two assists and one pre assist. Base your judgement on his qualities not his name. Most of you here are ethic bigots. Musa will continue to be invited as long as he is playing professional football. If you can't live with that that's your probs!
I am basing my fact on current form sir.

According to Naijafootballers, a senior member of the NFF told ESPN that Peserio has been instructed not to call up more than 20 foreign based players from now on... Any future super eagles list won't have more than 20 foreign based...the remaining slot will be reserved for local players...
And Ahmed Musa must be on the list? What rubbish!

Meanwhile at the U20s, Gambia walloped South Sudan 5-0. They will face Nigeria in the semis.

That's goalkeeper is good to be in the super Eagles. He was the hero of all their matches. Good and sharp reflexes As per the players, they are bunch of individual talents. The coach need to work on the team work. They lack vision and need to give ball to a better placed player to score. All of them want to score at the same time. They need to stop their personal ambitions.
True. Chigozie Anagbioso should be given a chance in the SE. He is very good. He hasn't conceded any goal in the tournament

I have observed something from the CAF U20 groups at Egypt 2023. Strong football nations like Egypt, Senegal and Nigeria were grouped in A. Congo, South Sudan, Uganda & CAR were grouped in B. Why?

Was it not the coach that was sending players out of camp for not playing "African Football". His cluelessness was exposed with that statement so I don't think anyone should be surprised.

Hopefully the players get their act done without him.
Why NFF keeps giving Bosso our youth teams to handle is what I don't understand

I feel Daniel daga is the engine of that team. Before his substitution due to injury they were pressing the Senegalese. Quite unfortunate for the team.
That means Bosso deceived us because we were told that this team was very talented. Daga cannot be the only talented boy in that team

coaching,
style of play and
players holding on to the ball for more than 3 seconds especially in tight spaces,
players trying to dribble 2 or more opposition players instead of passing the ball,
Coaches not teaching the players to practice rondos,
Coaches not teaching the players to practice how to make triangular passes
over-reliance on long balls and strikers pace,
poor or incompetent midfielders due to poor coaching
e.t.c

is what is wrong with all the Nigerian teams.
But this U20 team played and won series of friendlies only to come where it matters and lose. So what have the coaches been doing all these while that they could not detect all theae issues you listed? The Senegalese team played cohesively with synergy.

What a horrible week for Nigerian football.
Super Falcons lost their 2 matches to Mexico and Colombia now the U20 lost to Senegal. Where did we really get it wrong? We keep losing our first matches in tournaments and play catch up games at the end. Something definitely is wrong?

The French delegation left for Mexico 22 hours ago (Nnadozie, Demehin and Rofiat). Not sure about Yewande, Otu and Okoronkwo)
I hope they all arrive on time. So excited to know that Esther Okoronkwo was invited
