charlesemeka85: It's very obvious and they re forces behind that. This is one of the reasons why it will be difficult for any African team to win the world cup. Instability in all section in Africa have done a lot of bad to the continent.
Why force out a coach who resurrected the national team from ashes back to a force to reckon with once again in African football?
Why must the nff technical committee demand to have the final say in Rohr's player invitation when his players list right from the first day he took the job have been on point?
Why will the new contract mandate Rohr to live in Nigeria when 99.9% of his players both capped and uncapped ply their trade in Europe?
Alot is happening behind the scene which is beyond Pinnick's powers My brother, I tire for all these new stringent clauses NFF put for Rohr. If we frustrate this man out of this job, several countries will quickly sign him. I heard NFF is considering Avrant Grant in case Rohr leaves. What makes them feel Grant will take nonsense from them such as unpaid salaries etc. I feel Rohr understands African football better and their financial challenges. He decided to work with Nigeria because of the stars we parade. NFF should better pipe low on their expectations from Rohr. |

charlesemeka85:

According to Belgian football journalist Peter Vandenbempt, Heracles Almelo goal machine Cyriel Dessers wants to represent the Nigeria National Team rather than his country of birth, Belgium.
It is thought that Belgium manager Roberto Martinez is happy with his attacking options with the likes of Romelu Lukaku (Inter), Michy Batshuayi (Chelsea), Divock Origi (Liverpool) and Christian Benteke (Crystal Palace) competing for spots. Regarding the chances of Dessers wearing a Nigeria shirt, Vandenbempt noted that there is also intense competition for places in the Super Eagles squad.
In quotes carried by Voetbalnieuws making reference to Extra Time, Vandenbempt said : ''He is very happy in the Netherlands and said that he might continue to live there.
''It is also interesting that he is a Belgian Nigerian. He could therefore play for the national team of Nigeria. That is his distant dream, but the competition is reasonable big''.
Dessers has become one of the hottest properties in the Netherlands, scoring 61 goals and producing 25 assists in the last three years for his clubs.
Vandenbempt added : ''He is still only 24 and a real striker. I called a Dutch colleague and he says that Dessers is really phenomenal. He has not only developed himself as a goal scorer, but also as a football player''.
Leuven-born Dessers trained with Belgium's U21 national team in March 2015 but failed to make his international debut in an U21 Euro qualifier against Moldova. Rohr please give this guy a chance. |

charlesemeka85: i just hope pinnick and his cohorts renew his contract with new clauses and targets. a mandate to rohr to at least take the team to the next afcon finals and 2nd round stage at the 2022 world cup. with the progress of the team so far coupled with talented young players in his disposal i believe this targets are reachable.
it makes no sense letting him leave and at the same time running off to europe to get another coach who the nff will still default in paying his wages and bonuses. for now let's make do with what we have and can afford Let us all on this trend flood the NFF handle and demand #wewantrohr# |

The future is bright for Nigerian football. Never have we had it as exciting as this where we have a quality 1st and 2nd eleven. Rohr must seize this opportunity and harness these exciting players for better results and delievery. He must give opportunity for Dennis, Okereke, Olayinka and Ejuke to also contribute their own quota. And when we finally cap Eze, the world will know we have arrived. |

Kbs468: Musa helped me select players against Benin –Rohr

Kelvin Ekerete
Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr, says captain, Ahmed Musa, advised him on team selection against Benin in their 2021 cup of Nations qualifier on Wednesday.
Rohr at the team’s post-match conference said that the Al Nassr forward sacrificed his spot in the starting line-up to give the younger players a chance. “
“It is wonderful to have a captain like Musa, he told me in the pre-match press conference to start the team that started against Brazil because he thought they did well.
“So we started the same attack like we did against Ukraine but made a little change. He said I should play other that are having good playing time with their clubs because he is just returning from injury.”
Musa says he is willing to help the team in any way he can but the younger players must be given a chance to show what they have.
“I don’t have to play, I wanted the coach to start the same team that played against Brazil because they played very good,” he said.
“You can see the young players are coming up so we have to give them the chance. Maybe Ahmed Musa is not going to be there anymore, we have to start grooming more players. To me the captain armband is not really a big deal; it is the team that matter.” So Ahmed Musa don turn technical adviser to Rohr. Na waya ooo |

Curtisaxel7: Watching Montenegro against England taught me to respect Gernot Rohr's tactical decisions against big teams.
The Montenegro team attempted to match England strength for strength, trying to keep possession and attack when they can, and the result is there for all to see. They played bravely, entertained thier fans, and lost woefully.
Rohr would NEVER lose to ANY team by that margin. Call his style boring and conservative, but he has never lost to any team by more than two goals. Not to England, Argentina or Brazil.
Rohr may not be dishing out eye-catching fantastic football at the moment, but he certainly gets his results.
Please let's respect Gernot Rohr. The man dey try. He is upgrading himself. Even NFF knows that. He gives us good decent results. Love him or hate him, he is making progress with Nigeria. If we sack him today, he won't go jobless. |

I'm so happy for Ola Aina. He has greatly improved since the AFCON tournament. They way he ghosts his opponents and his killer passes are alarming. Tyrone Ebueh and Shehu Abdullahi will find it difficult benching him now. Now he is reaping the dividends of playing for Nigeria not like others who will keep choping England bench.
Aribo too dey make me yori yori. The guy is good. Really deserves that no 10 jersey. And I'm happy he has been cap-tied finally |
