davidylan: and you know this how?
From what is happening around us. People including religious people ought to free themselves from the schackles of mythical belief systems they hadheld based on faith. We do not understand whether there is God or not, nor do we know fully how the universe came into being. no one can ever understand this fully because the universe is over 14 billion years old; even dedicated scienists admit this. All we know is that humans are an animal specie with a bigger brain live in communities. All our behaviors are aimed at obtaining survival means, sex, and dominating our colleagues one way or the other. Because man is an aggressive sexy animal he had to design a moral code for living together called laws. Religion and belief in God is based on magical thinking, personalization mental experiences such as dreams, hallucinations and delusion as well as personality difficulties. Eg earthquake happens : primitive man has no idea how it was caused so he uses magical thinking - must have been caused by a great being shaking the earth. To stop this happening again, pray, sacrifice things praise and worship him. Another earthquake - he is angry with us, someone among us did something wrong. The gods are not happy. Etc.

Ask yourself why all these natural disaster are so rare in some places because most scientist acquired their knowledge from devil.
These are all myths. How did Moses know about the story of Adam and Eve? Fairy tales!

Galaxy.Note.II:
Dude, I've read your posts on this forum.
If you're the epitome of Christianity. . . .then may your God help your religion because it HAS FAILED.

If good exists, then bad (Satan) must also exist.
Confusing sets of people tongue
How do you define good and bad? Who determines what is good and what is bad? According to your cosmology God made everything and that include what you called bad?, there is no good or evil. It depends on the community and the circumstances. If you are dying of hunger and killed your dog for food......?

woodcook: I am a free thinker but seriously I am yet to see an atheist arguing or trying to convince a Muslim about the existence of God. Just wondering!!!!
It is a shame that people are forced to believe myths as true ideas about God. Being executed because one says not enough evidence for him to believe in
God. Islam is a dictatorial theocracy.

Christian: everything that has a beginning as a cause, God is eternal, but the universe isn't
we know from 2nd law thermodynamics that every tend to go towards disorder so in the future things won't look
how they are now.
Atheist: well your God is evil, he committed genocide on the Canaanites
Christians: hmm in world where we are all matter and energy evolved to higher order, where morality is relative, there is no
evil or good. because your views are good for u and mine are good for me.
Atheist: Bleep you!!
Christian: i think he mad yo cool
So how did God come into existence? Religious people made it difficult for reasonable people to believe in the existence of God because of the myths woven around God, making it like fairytales.

No one knows for sure about the existence of the creator or his qualities. Why can't religious people be humble enough to accept this rather than claiming superior knowledge about God based on myth?

ghostofsparta: So you believe the Abrahamic God called Yahweh/Jehovah created everything in this universe including EVIL and provision for disasters and yet he's capable of getting tired, how so should he be omnipotent.
Laugh out loud. Myth, myth. And how could Moses have written the first five books of the bible when it contained records of his burial and things that happened after he died?

Image123: Christian: why don't you give your life to Christ?

atheist: angry stop trolling me, i need some slack/space to keep my insanity.
atheist: there is no evidence that Jesus existed as a person on earth at anytime. He is just a mythical religious figure worshipped by Christians like any other god. The gospels were fabricated by clever Jews who interpreted the Old Testament to mean Christ had already come in 1st century. Just like Jehovah's witnessses who claim God's kingdom had already come in heaven, and the first resurrection occurred in 1914

Some of us here are mistaking some words Patrick uses for English.
Unfortunately, some of those words are Latin and Italia.

If not for comic relief, why would a public servant mix Latin, Italo to English to 'communicate' to his subjects who are English speaking people?

Jeez!
All the words are in the English dictionary. Check them out.
Christianity EtcRe: Good Friday Crucifixion Of Jesus In Nigeria by Solozzo(m): 12:15am On Apr 01, 2013
Malawian: Christ did not have to die, he was murdered by us. now, he came to show us the way back to God hence his preaching in the synagogues and doing all manner of miracles. his proclaming the good news and Gods kingdom. the world was by then in control of the darkness and the darkness was not going to give up it's turf without a fight. i believe we can find an analogy here in naijerya. the darkness was to instigate the trials of Jesus to find faults with him.. if a messanger is tainted, his message surely would. first was after the 40 days fast which he excelled in flying colours. Jesus Christ was True-Man while on earth! when the 3 direct temptations failed, there was always a judas to bribe to lie about him. there was always a mob to incite to chant for crucifiction. what actually was happenning then was another trial. was Jesus man enough to die for his message? was his message true enough to give his life for? Christ did not die for you, you killed him, yet he forgave you before he gave up his spirit. you have his message to lead you back to God.it is your problem whether you take it. now let me share a quote i saw on the internet yesterday " i will rather believe and be wrong than dont believe and be wrong ". if you like keep bowing you heads to the moon. na una sabi..
The fact is that Christ coming to earth , living among humans, dying and resurrection were not physical events. He was never born on earth nor crucified by any human hands. He is a powerful spirit entity that cannot be molested by mere humans. He had appeared as visions to the early Christians seeking repentant souls and offering himself to us to seek and find for our own salvation. "In the begining was the Word, the Word was with God and the Word was God". He is the divinity of God in us "the kingdom of heaven is within you" that is why he says "behold I stand at the door and knock whoever opens the door I will come in and sup with him
Christianity EtcRe: Good Friday Crucifixion Of Jesus In Nigeria by Solozzo(m): 11:49pm On Mar 31, 2013
Eziachi: Christianity when Jesus founded it was done to satisfy your fascination, its not about how you feel. Any believe, customs, doctrine outside the confines of the bible should not be taken seriously. Like I said before, neither Jesus himself or his apostles or the 1st century Christian had anything called the cross, let alone the one they are fascinated with.
Only an insane person will be fascinated by the instrument used in killing his beloved one. There many weapon mentioned in the bible that were used in killing Jesus, like nails, Hammer, spears- why is your fascination not extended to them too. I believe that introduction of cross into Christianity has nothing to with Jesus, but rather the Roman pagans that hijacked Christianity, who are already has many triune god, of which the symbol of cross represent. That my opinion, if you have a superior argument, lets hear it.
The cross is a mystical symbol of ore-Christian origin. The vertical bar represent holy spirit while the horizontal bar represent earthly body (or matter) indicating the unity of Holy Spirit and mankind. Initially an image of a lamb was tied to the centre but was changed to a human about 500s AD. Also, the four points of the cross are important because number 4 indicates completeness in mystical numerology eg the four winds of the earth, four directions, east west south and north the four beasts around throne of God in revelation book of the bible.

Modern Christians jtust assumed the cross means the manner Christ died, in ignorance.

Billyonaire: Dramatizing crucifixion should not water down the agony of Jesus, the Christ. If it has to be done, then someone really need to get hurt real bad even if not dead. That'll be something to remember.
Would you volunteer to play the Jesus role?

These are just showpieces. The suburbs are full of rotten roads, eroded terrains and collapsed roads. No public water supply. People trading in roads and no enough markets. Very high crime rate, , okadamen are a menace and transport control officials are thugs who tow away and damage vehicles for minor offences like wrong parking while a danfo drivers deliberately obstruct traffic. Local govt analysed by the governor.

Stop deceiving yourselves that Nigeria is anything to be proud of. Stand up and fight for your country! Nigeria is a sordid, shameful mess and it's shame that most Nigerians don't know any better.
Why do you verbally abuse your country men and women? Are really Nigerian?. You've not shown any sense of patriotism, which is the greatest force in changing society. All you displayed was frustration, anger and hatred.

Good or bad, your history is your story, its your identity and what your generations draw from.

Again, good or bad, your history is still very very important.

PoliticsRe: Alamieyeseigha: Still Wanted In The UK - Envoy by Solozzo(m): 12:05am On Mar 29, 2013
ROSSIKE: Until BRITAIN comes out and declares how much she has stolen from Nigeria since the VERY FIRST DAY a British man set foot in this country, right down till today, via her multinationals like Shell and co, and then declares HOW MUCH loot stolen by Nigerians is deposited in her banks, and then DECLARES that she is ready to RETURN all the billions (perhaps trillions) of pounds sitting in her banks back to ordinary Nigerians - until she does that - she should go and park well.

Even if she says ''we don't trust the Nigerian govt to distribute the wealth'' let her decide to apportion the cash DIRECTLY to ordinary Nigerians, or whatever other means that ensures the people get the benefit of those monies.

THEN when she says ''we are fighting corruption in Nigeria'', intelligent people like us will take her seriously.

Anything short of that is STORY STORY. Not all Nigerians can be fooled all of the time. Using small fry like Alams as props to play 'international saint' WILL NOT WORK.
Don't forget the benefits of British rule, and that they had become tired of corruption by Nigerians since the fifties. Naija man too like to thief and put money abroad. Alams disgraced naija too much.
