The saddest thing in life is encapsulated by the statement above. Think man, then write reasonably. It can't be that difficult surely; you might even find it quite stimulating.
This was unnecessary.

Concentrate on the post and don't go personal.

You seem to know better than proffessional analysts, don't you? That's okay BUT saying that Benitez doesn't trust Gerrard in the MC position makes me wonder if we're talking about the English Premier League here or the Globacom Premier League. If Lampard was played as ML, DR, AML, MR, AMR, MC, DMC or FC, then he'd have ended up at Luton FC. Gerrard's played in all these positions for England JUST to accomodate others because he's just that good. Name any other player that can do that! However everyone knows that his favourite position (which is the only position Lampard can play) is AMC. For that we love him.
I cant remember when Gerrard was used at a right back. Please what match are you talking about.

Now for the rest of the positions . . . Those are mostly one and the same. A good number of midfielders play left, right and center.

Players like Ronaldo and Gerrard are cheats and should be taken off the game.

I bet it would have been easier to just correct me saying it was Grant. . rather than asking for links. . at least it's true for 3-0 to boro.

Common ! It is not helpful starting to say things like this. . If you paused the game at 25mins, would you have said we would have ended this way. . . How do we win games? . . We lost 3-0 to boro even when JM was here . . conceeded 4 goals at the bridge against ASton Villa even during JM's era. . .

These games come once in a while to remind us that we are not invincible. . simple. We will regroup and come back stronger . . .We have to win the next CL game and we will.

Next up is Blackburn!

I dey go watch prison break. . the only thing that can make up for this is Obama winning.
Please I don't remember the highlighted.

Have you got links?

Take away the diabolical defending, we can not win games with this sort of play.

This is not attractive play. It did not work with Liverpool, ManU or Roma.

Once again Anelka is totally useless.

Our defending is terrible

1. Lets not start distortion shall we? I said big games not big teams. Meanwhile how would you rate Spurs in the premiership? Again if in fact you take the game with Roma and Spurs as little games don't you see how that damages your argument since Anelka also is shown to be MIA even in the small games?

2. I never said Roma was a big team. Though, looking at it from a UEFA point of view, they were tipped next to us in the group. I hope you understand why I said big game now.

3. Ronaldo managed to score in the CL Finals. Was that a big game?

4. Please show me your stats and links.

5. My judgment is not the discussion here, it's yours. Let's stick to the topic.

If Drogba was fully fit he would be of much better use to the team than Anelka. Well except Anelka continues scoring hatricks from close range against teams you regard as small.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here (Old) by somze(f): 6:06pm On Nov 04, 2008
You never said Lampard would not fit into one touch attractive football?

Now that's a surprise. Anyway I've removed your name. Don't have time to search through your post to backup my claims.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here (Old) by somze(f): 5:36pm On Nov 04, 2008
Nateevs,

1. Drogba stats from injury is inconsequential. How can you compare someone that just recovered from injury to a person that has been fit all season. Don't let those anti-Drogba sentiments cloud your logic.

2. How many of your 4 games did Drogba start?

3. Please kindly add Roma and Spurs to your list of big games.

Remember things you said before the start of this season regarding Lampard? How he would not fit into an attractive sort of game, how he was done for, how he could not complement another midfielder, how he could not play the passing style, how he was a route one player etc.

Now Lampard has been the best player in the midfield this season. If that does not make you eat your words then what will?

Face it, you may simply lack have the visionary quality to judge the players who would fit seamlessly into our team.

Edited . . .

Nateevs, Ibime

I dont know how many people will actually agree with you about Anelka fitting into the system. If being slow and missing in the big games is what it takes to fit into your system then Anelka is more than fit.

How many games has Drogba played in this system? How then did you come to your conclusion.

The only reason why you say what you say is as a result of your anti-Drogba sentiments.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here (Old) by somze(f): 1:24pm On Nov 02, 2008
And you do not need to play to Anelka's strenght which seems to be only against small teams and an inch from the goal line?

Anelka has done nothing to help our play so I don't know what you are talking about. Anyone could have scored the goals he has scored this season.

nateevs:
Don't get me wrong, Drog will score goals. He will not just score as many as Anelka. . because the set-up suites Anelka. . He is the PL's top goal scorer!
I quoted the above for the sake of evidence come the end of the season.

Will Anelka be even Chelsea's top scorer?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here (Old) by somze(f): 12:24pm On Nov 02, 2008
I can not help but laugh each time I see Ibime and Nateevs go through fire to deride Drogba while supporting worn-out Anelka.

Scoring a hatrick from close range against Sunderland must be the most difficult thing to do in the world.

Drogba is back from injury and will pick up match fitness as games go by. We will surely see him, especially in the big games. Games where Anelka seems strangely absent.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here (Old) by somze(f): 11:27pm On Oct 30, 2008
I think Jose was unlucky to be have beaten by Pool both times in the UCL. It really had nothing to do with the play. We had our chances in the 2005 but for some reason we failed to put them away, especially the Gudjonsen's miss.

2007 we lost to them on penalties, and by the way we've lost to Manchester United (2ce) and also Charlton on penalties in cup games. We're simply luckless at that.

In the league however Jose was much better over Pool. Remember our 4-1 win at Anfield?

Our problem last Sunday was cutting edge attack. We simply could not convert possession and passing into fruitful shots on target. Their defense seemed too formidable for our Anelka/Malouda led attack.

Keeper's mistake really, but what was the defense doing?

The keeper just gave that to Anelka. Wonder what he was waiting for.

Malouda cant even make a decent cross.

It was always going to be difficult to fill Mourinho's shoes. . .

I totally accept that we lack depth perhaps due to injury. Anelka was never going to fill Drogba's shoes. I hope Nateevs and Ibime can see that now. Anelka is done for. He is totally unfit for Chelsea.

At the start of the seaon I said we will fail to win the league as a result of LFP's inexperience in the market. We needed a striker and winger but got none. Let's see how it goes.

It's funny that no one here dared say he's lying?

So I guess the only crime here is that he in fact told the truth.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here (Old) by somze(f): 6:14pm On Oct 03, 2008
Let's be fair,

Drogba has been off and on injury for quite a time.

He was injured at the start of last season too and also for a long spell before January. How do you expect him to score from the sick bed? Still he did deliver when he returned.

The guy is 30 and he's been having these knee issues, still he is a prolific striker, first touch or no first touch.

I do not understand Dayo's comments. Is this the same Drogba that scored twice - home and away against Barca? The same Drogba that gave the sublime Valencia goal after Cole's wonder pass?

If anyone should be murdered in the blue shirt it should be . . . need I mention his name?
