Politics › Re: President Buhari Slams Elite For Allowing Nigeria Get ‘mismanaged For 16 Years’ by somziency: 8:45pm On Sep 29, 2018
Your Excellency this was the song you sang and Nigerians voted for you overwhelmingly with the hope that things will turn around.

You equally promised to change things in four years and leave office with your head high.

The opportunity was given to you and towards the end of a four years tenure you are still blaming pdp and now the elites.

Do you want Nigerians to wait for another 16years before realising you have nothing to offer?

Sir, it has become so obvious that even the illiterates know the difference.

Politics › Re: Enugu-onitsha Road Narrative Will Change In A Week’s Time- FG by somziency: 5:42pm On Aug 26, 2018
frommee0:
THE Federal ministry of Works has stated that narrative on the ugly state of Enugu-Onitsha expressway will in the next one week change to a positive story.

The road for a long time had remained in a state of urgent intervention even after the minister for Power, Works and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Fashola visited the road in May this year.

But giving an update on the government’s effort at reconstructing the strategic road, the Director in charge of South East roads in the federal ministry of Works, Engr. Emmanuel Adeoye, said that the road has been reawarded to Rayland Construction Company, RCC, noting that the Israeli company has indeed been given the entire length of the Enugu-Onitisha road to rehabilitate.

Adeoye said: “The road has been reawarded to RCC. It was approved by the Federal Executive council and RCC is now handling the whole road from Enugu to Onitisha. The survey has been made and assessment made and the work I can assure you has commenced.”

Adeoye stated that reason why the contractor has not commenced work on site was because of the due process procedure and handing over of the sight, promising however that in a week’s time the narrative of the road will change.

“We have assessed the very bad portions that need immediate action and before the week runs out you will see action there.

“We follow procurement procedure, it was processed and we were asked to go on. We don’t want to work haphazardly.

“In everything we do, we follow due process and I can assure you that before next Saturday, you will see our work there,” Adeoye assured.

According to plan and just like Lagos Ibadan expressway this projects should have been completed, commissioned and moved on to other structural needs of the country as funds have been secured for them. But an administration came in and thought otherwise. Here we are politicising everything. They will say government is continuous, what is happening here?May God help us.

If they increase the minimum wage, collect it if you are eligible and still vote the best candidate from whatever party.

Nigerians should know that the politicians are aware that the ultimate power lie with the electorates and thats why they do all sorts of things prior to elections to buy them over.

This way things will begin to turn around.

What is this one saying abeghuh Just jumbling up issues and talking trash about what u know nothing of.
The acquisition of weapons was not started by this regime if u must know. It was already previously approved, but US refused to sell due to unseriousness of GEJ regime and they couldnt guarantee that it wont fall into wrong hands. There was nothing secretive about the sale because the NATIONAL (not HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY as u mentioned) ASSEMBLY was duly informed. i cant understand the rest of your mumbo jumbo rubbish, so wont bother responding. so take a chill pill ok
You won't understand because you have no fact to counter it.

For the one you responded to, who approved it? If it was approved as you claimed why did the president seek lawmakers approval thereafter?

Stop bringing excuses if you lack facts.
Politics › Re: Akpabio Strikes Senate Presidency Deal With APC, 10 Lawmakers To Defect With Him by somziency: 1:39pm On Aug 06, 2018
odiks:
Akpabio meets Buhari in London: Strikes Senate Presidency deal, more than 10 House of assembly members to defect with him.

Embattled former governor of Akwa Ibom state, MR Godswill Akpabio, has finally met with President Muhammadu Buhari in London after striking a deal that has cemented his defection move to the ruling All Progressives Congress last Friday.

Propellerng.com learnt on good authority that a deal has been struck between the APC and Akpabio that the former governor be made to succeed Mr Bukola Saraki as senate president after he (Akpabio) delivers Akwa Ibom state to the APC in the 2019 election.

Propeller Newspapers had last week exclusively reported Akpabio’s planned exit from the Peoples Democratic Party, the platform on which he served as governor for 8 years and was subsequently elected senate minority leader in 2015.

Akpabio had recently faced threats of arrests by the country’s anti-graft agencies on grounds of massive corruption during his reign as governor if he failed to defect to support the president in 2018.

Sources close to the former governor accuse incumbent Governor Udom Emmanuel of not doing enough to protect Akpabio from the ruling party’s threats.

”Udom betrayed Akpabio by opening him up to the scavenging federal government. He didn’t do enough to cover the tracks, and this is the result”, one of Akpabio’s senior aides said in an anonymous interview granted Propeller Newspapers Saturday night.

According to him, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission “could not have come this close to unearthing everything during Oga’s era if Udom had not maliciously cooperated with them by allowing them unrestrained access to classified financial documents”, the aide said referring to the massive thievery and misappropriation of public funds during the Akpabio era.
More than 800billion Naira is believed to have been stolen by Akpabio and his cronies within 8 years.

Authentic sources confirm that the EFCC have evidences of foreign currencies stashed away by Akpabio in his country home and in foreign nations which they believe is part of the stolen resources of the state.

But rather than press charges against him, “they seek to take political advantage of the helpless man by forcing him to work for the APC in 2019”, a top government functionary in Abuja confided in our Group Political Editor last week.

Akpabio to defect on Wednesday with 5 House of Reps, more than 10 House of assembly members.

__________
In an exclusive chat last night with Propeller Newspapers, presidential aide and former senator Ita Enang has confirmed the defection of senate minority leader, Godswill Akpabio, to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

“I can confirm that he is coming to the All Progressives Congress. There will be a grand reception for His Excellency (Akpabio) on Wednesday and for others who will be coming with him.”

Propeller Newspapers can confirm that former Governor Akpabio was today issued his membership card of the ruling party.

We can also confirm that some political heavyweights mostly from Ikot Ekpene senatorial district are moving with Akpabio to the APC.

They include former works commissioner in the state, Mr Don Etim, former senator Effiong Bob, Leader of the House, Mr Udo Kieran Akpan, former Speaker and House of Reps member for Etinan Federal Constituency, Mr Sam Ikon, respective House of Reps members from Abak and Essien Edim/Etim Ekpo/Ika, Mr Emmanuel Akpan and Mr Emmanuel Ekon, former Information Commissioner, Mr Aniekan Umanah, state House of Assembly members, Nse Ntuen, Usoro Akpanusoh, Aniekan Uko, Aniekan Bassey, Idongesit Ntekpere, Uduak Ududoh, Mark Esset, among others. At least 10 house members are said to be ready to defect to the APC with Akpabio.

Also defecting are Mr Victor Antai, serving commissioner for Culture and Tourism in the state as well as Ibanga Akpabio, commissioner for Labour and Manpower Development.

Chairmen of Ikot Ekpene and Essien Udim are said to have also signed on to the defection plan.

Speaker Onofiok Luke and Senator Bassey Albert are said to have defied Akpabio’s request to move with them to the APC.

In a meeting with stakeholders of the PDP at the banquet hall of government house on Saturday night, Governor Udom Emmanuel called on partymen to brace for a “rough and tough” battle in 2019.

Whichever way all these defections goes Nigerians will laugh last and not the politicians. Caution is being thrown to the wind. If there is no confusion they will never scatter.
Politics › Re: For Those Calling Buhari Corrupt Because Of Akpabio. Read This. by somziency: 10:57am On Aug 06, 2018
Butterflyle0:
If you believe that there's no difference between PDP and APC just because APC is about to use Akpabio against PDP in the upcoming election please tell me the difference between SGT Rogers and Akpabio.

For the benefit of those who were young during Abacha era or forgotten about the role he played later on during their trial:

Sgt Rogers was a member of the killer squad set up by Major Al-Mustapha to deal with the "enemy" of Abacha government.

It was Sgt Rogers that pulled the trigger that killed Hajia Kudirat Abiola and near snuffed life out of late Baba Adesanya.

Guess what happened during trial? Prof Yemi Osinbajo used him as a prosecution witness to nail Gen Bamaiyi, Sabo and Al-Mustapha the bigger killers.

Did the action of Osinbajo rubbish his integrity as a senior lawyer? Never!

Did the action question the genuinity of Tinubu as Governor of Lagos state? Absolutely not!

What about OBJ under which these killers were behind bars for nearly 15 years? Never!

Osinbajo used lesser evil to nail the real devil.
Those who are attacking the integrity of Mr President because of the defection of Akpabio to APC are daft, stupid and foolish.

Some of you are nothing but bloody hypocrites.

When the cold blooded murderer, Bukola Saraki and his killer squad left APC it was celebrated by you guys but as soon APC picked the lesser rogue to destroy whatever PDP stands to gain tears and sorrow became you guys middle name.
"Oh PDP is not different from APC", "Nothing like integrity in Buhari again", "Oh it is not about the common man but about how Buhari will retain power."

So Buhari and his lieutenants should fold their hands and allow Bukola or Atiku to evict them from the Villa abi so they can collectively rape Nigeria and impoverish an already recovering nation.

I pray for all of you who are against this move and I pray you all receive sense since you wish to condemn yourselves to senselessness.

Rants and insults are welcome.

#Buharist
So happy you accepted they all rogues.

There is no lesser or bigger rogue.

A rogue is a rogue.

Whoever accepts, mingles and harbours them is a rogue.

Bia these wailers sef the only thing u guys know how to do is to insult someone older that your father. Is buhari asking to reconvene for his own benefit. Is it not so that your jobless asses can get some food on the table? Smh. All u wailers have been completely brainwashed. Nigeria is in a critical period and the entire national assembly has decided to go on holiday. Worst part is some unintelligent wailers will just be supporting what they don't know. What will senate holiday achieve for your destiny now.

Tueh!
grin If you care to know, the house of assembly has always been on recess around this time every year and reconvenes if there is a matter of utmost importance and national emergency. Come to think of that APC also benefitted from such predicament in time past, one needs to ask what the pressure to reconvene is all about? Yes there is a need to make provision for election spending and the house was aware of it before it went on recess means they have there own timing. This same executive have let us know there are so many ways to get its job done. We all know the president did not seek the lawmakers consent before the purchase of tucano aircrafts that will be delivered in 2020. Approval of contracts without relevant board consent. As at 2015 we all know there will be election in 2018, why was this expected spending not included in 2018 budget? All these pressures and counter pressures are for the gains of the politicians and to the detriment of the governed. How many have they mounted on the plight of the common man?
