I don't know if it is just me Ijaw + Enugu +Ebonyi+ Anambra+ Abia + IMO and the Igbo parts of pH are good enough. Your okija story first came in around early 2011, but by the end of that year, his appointment as Rochas special adviser on imo state sports brought issues about his origin. It was there that he cleared the air.

After KANU was appointed by rochas as IMO state govt special adviser on sports, claims of his origin came up, and HE, KANU MADE IT CLEAR THAT AROCHUKWU IS HIS HOMETOWN. Rochas insisted he became his special adviser nevertheless. Pls google it up. Have anambra govt claimed KANU? Where are his siblings and relatives? Where did KANU place his ozobi (an indigenes land portion)?

Thank God for threads like this. This okija story came up as a soft sell news in late 2010/early 2011, but by late 2011 KANU had settled all the dust of claims and rumours. He made it clear to the IMO state government that he is from arochukwu, in abia state.

For the umpteenth time, KANU is from amangwu in arochukwu. Okija story has since been cleared since his days as the special adviser on sports to the IMO state government. Na wa o....this claiming by force is serious o.....a son builds his house in his fathers land, where in okija did his build his house? Go to amangwu, his uncles and siblings are still there till tomorrow, his wife is from amivu village still in arochukwu. KANU grew up in owerri, but he is from abia....Hia! Okija Ko...lokoja ni.
