Aba this Aba that...pls guys what's all these rant about? My uncle just returned from abia, and he said aba is cleaning up, but it would take some time. The good thing however, is that the cleaning up has started.
Onitsha was once the eyesore of the east, with litters of stenched waste welcoming you from the Niger bridge. Has that not changed? Pls stop comparing nnewi with aba. Aba is commercially superior to nnewi. Take or leave. The bad roads and waste management issues in aba does not warrant towns like nnewi to be compared to it. Nnewi and abiriba ("small London*) can compete, Onitsha and Aba can compete, while awka and umuahia can compete. |

obailala: Bro, no need to get emotional about this, there's no need to go into the semantics of the meaning or origins of the word 'south-south.' It may make no sense according to your elementary geography but then, remember it's also political, hence it's called a 'Geo-Political' zone. The last time I checked, the people from this 'mystery' zone are happy with this classification and I believe they have a right to maintain their own identity.
Without any further arguments on semantics, I'm sure you now understand what I mean when I use the word SS?.... Most of the people from this region who have voiced their opinions about the disintegration idea have clearly stated that even if they were to leave Nigeria, they would rather be on their own republic than join in Biafra. It is a known fact that the SS zone owns the resources which is used to spoon feed all other 5 geopolitical zones in Nigeria. If the secessionist must include the SS, proper negotiations and agreements have to be reached first instead of just lumping the SS together with the SE in the secession plot. The people of the SS are humans too and should be respected and allowed to speak for themselves.
Finally, this thread is about an economic and political statement from Pastor Bakare, let's not turn this to another ipob thread. My dear, cross river and akea ibom are "south east". Take a good look at the map again. Igboland, which encompasses SE and SS states are more of " south central " Anyway, for the sake of politics, let's leave it at that, but pls when talking about igboland, it cludes anioma, and upland rivers (obigbo/oyigbo, egbema, ndoki, igwuocha) |

Nonsense thread....gullible igbos falling like a pack of cards..... If one is comparing states, pls do so objectively.
1. Which of the state has a lower poverty rate? 2. Which state is more industrialized and more urbanized? 3. Which of them has a higher GDP? 4. Which of them stands out more academically and are more educationally advantageous?
If you can answer this questions correctly and objectively, then you can tell which state is more of a bigger brother. |

AstraNetwork: You are just pained because the truth was exposed!
We are waiting in the trenches to further expose the hellish nature of Abia State in general. There is nothing modern about Aba, as the whole town is littered with horribly bad roads and mountains of wastes and refuse dumps. There is no government in the entire Abia State. The state is a good example of zoo and the most backward State in entire Nigeria.
Accept the reality, Aba is CURSED as well as the entire Abia state. Aba is the worst and most backward town in Nigeria by all standards.
Bring your madness on..

musicwriter: A lot!.
Ms. Lagarde is in Nigeria to rally support from Nigerian elites so that her organization the IMF would loan money to our government without resistance. The IMF would then charge interest on the loan and together with the world bank will control the Nigerian economy, thereby making a lot of money from Nigeria in the process.
Initially, president Buhari wasn't interested in the IMF loan offer. But, in some countries, when the president or elites refuse to agree to support IMF and world bank loan, the IMF will pay out huge bribe money to them to pressure the president of the target country to accept the loan offer- that's if the President is not actually part of the scam. This's why Ms. Largarde has met everybody from Genevieve Nnaji to Orji Kalu to anybody of importance. She've been in Nigeria like 4 times since Buhari administration. Finally, it seems the president has fallen. Your tale is by moonlight. |

Granted, ui is the first degree awarding institution in Nigeria whose umbilical cord was tied to London university certificate. It became a university in 1962. However, UNN is the first university in Nigeria, having the nation's first vice chancellor, first university senate, first university governing council. It was founded in 1960 thus, being the ONLY university institution with the honour of being called UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA. UIs postgraduate program is currently the best in the country, but UNNs research publication at all levels is the most sort after within international circles. |
