yMcy56: If you're not inclined to insurance stocks just stay away from them, don't buy because of another person's convictions. You may look the way of fundamentally sound stocks.
As for STI, if you feel like buying some, you may pick at low junction around 25-27kobo and take lots of drugs of patience.
I think Lasaco may be a good choice too......At current price, 1.39, Lasaco is trading @ 0.34k.....or let's say, 0.35k...........still awaiting release of result......IF it comes out fine, the coy may pay dividend. DD applies.
Rossiminku: Nigeria is a large developing country, so it will have poor folks for many years still. If those platforms you listed refuse to comply with Nigerian law, they will be kicked out of the Nigerian market. Numerous other apps will take their place. The Indian - built platform, [kooo], is already making inroads to Nigeria following the Twitter ban.
It's not a matter of having "poor folks" it's a matter of being the poverty capital of the world.. don't you think we all should have a conscience instead of having the mentality that some people are meant to be poor The duty of government is to put in place policies to alleviate poverty not intensify same.. I maintain that a threat to Twitter should first have been issued instead of jumping to ban them without taking the small Nigerian businesses into consideration.. Twitter would've come for reconciliation and negotiation if a threat had been issued.. do you know how much has been lost by businesses due to the hasty ban?
Rossiminku: Biggest middle class in Africa and biggest economy in Africa, with an annual GDP of 1.16 TRILLION dollars per annum, calculated by PPP (Purchasing Power Parity).
Twitter, by comparison, earned 1.2 billion dollars last year.
That is chicken change for top Nigerian business conglomerates, not to mention the Nigerian govt.
Twitter is shiit compared to Nigeria.
And how much of that money gets into the hands of the majority who are living below the poverty line? A lot of businesses get their customers on social media especially Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.. it makes sense for government to think about the people when dealing with issues.. the sensible thing is to first threaten to ban.. Twitter would've reached out
Beancounter93: So , don't you think his praising Buhari for doing an unconstitutional thing in both the US and Nigeria is a sign that you should reconsider your support for Trump.?
Don't you?
Not at all. That's his personal opinion. He's entitled to it. Like I said, no US president can ban Twitter because they have no such powers.. I support him because of his policies on the global stage and because he can't act outside his country's laws (unlike Buhari) no matter how much he'd love so to do
[quote author=Beancounter93 post=102529885]So , don't you think his praising Buhari for doing an unconstitutional thing in both the US and Nigeria is a sign that you should reconsider your support for Trump.?
CilicMarin: Now that the Almighty Father, The Omega, Omniscience and Omnipotent God Of IPOB Terrorists Have Endorsed The Action Of Our Daddy Buhari...Can We Now Safely Say, That Whoever That Is Still Fighting Us, Is Fighting God!!!
The implication of this, is that Trump has voiced the political stand of the GOP...any attempt to sanction Nigeria, would highly resisted by the GOP's in the Congress...
Once again congratulations President Buhari..
Trump couldn't ban Twitter while president because he had no such powers (it's unconstitutional).. so doesn't Buhari !
yMcy56: Saw it too..... Closed on full bid @24k today.......let's see how far it goes........
I expect these coys to start communicating their recap plans to us soon........ International Energy IEI) made an announcement already...... to be bought over/to be sold.... I'm their rep on Nsempa.
Hello. After much consideration, I've decided to buy sovereign trust plc shares out of the whole lot.. Just want a second opinion before I go ahead. Do you think it's a good buy? Risk is mine of course
And God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth , and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food.
The good news is that weed is a plant that yield seeds
I'm sure you are aware that not all plants are for food. The Bible mentions other uses.. do your research before you start cooking marijuana leaves as efo riro!
allwell51: "I was frustrated and angry - Nigerian makeup artist shares her 'unusual' encounter with a bride whose church doesn't permit makeup
Lagos-based makeup artist, Peace Eichie (@peenfaces) has shared her 'unusual' encounter with a bride whose church does not permit use of makeup for weddings.
According to the Ms Eichie, she made the bride up for her engagement ceremony and had to take off the makeup for her church wedding held at the Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries (MFM)
Instead of the usual touch ups for the reception, she had to make the bride up all over, a situation she described as frustrating.
"I had an unusual encounter with my bride on Saturday. After her engagement in the morning I had to take off her make up for church service. Her church doesn’t permit make up. I was frustrated and angry cos i would have to start the make up from scratch for Her reception and we know the rush is usually epic when they come back from church for reception programme," she narrated.
"We barely even have enough time for touch ups not to talk of starting the make up afresh. I was anxious cos i had just 10 mins to fix her make up but then God came through for me .. Make up isn’t a small work as some people assume especially when you have limited time to work on a face. I did that make up in less than 10 mins did i try?"
Stupid.. didn't they know the stand of MFM on make up? Isn't the bride a member of the church? Were they forced to contract the marriage in MFM?
"Twitter will go first".. shocking accuracy.. or a lucky guesstimate
ochejoseph: I have refrained from commenting on Nigerian politics because on two occasions i warned Nigerians about the APC and Buhari and their tendency to ruin lives, businesses and destinies but some hurled insults others rained abuses. I hope they are all enjoying the "beautiful" change they brought.
The Twitter tragedy that happened today was predicted by Ijeoma about 6 years ago, facebook will be next and channels like CNN on DSTV will follow.
May God help us to help ourselves next time!
May God Bless What is Left of The Federal Republic of Nigeria
onthehill: OAP and leader of the Free the Sheeple movement, DaddyFreeze, has come out to disagree with the phrase, ''What God cannot do does not exist'', which is now being used by many Christians, IgbereTV reports.
In a post shared on his Instagram handle, Freeze faulted the phase, insisting that there are things God can never do.
God cannot commit sin.. bla bla bla.. Every reasonable person knows the context in which the phrase is used... No problem or challenge is too hard for God to solve or overcome... Simple.. freeze should learn to freeze his mouth sometimes.. he doesn't always have to be in the news
