Bross if I recalled, I think it took around 3 weeks for Uni-assist to send my document to the university and a woman called Silvia Nagel send me my acceptance package after one week.
Which course are you going for at ovgu ? If you are going for Checmical and Energy Engineering you can pm Mr kciano he's currently there. And he's a great guy I'm sure he will assit you more.
Best Regards

Thanks for your urgent response... Actually I applied to Medical Systems Engineering at Magdeburg. Uni assist received my signed application form on 23rd of October . So apparently this is the 3rd week . Anyway , I will still need to contact kciano .

Okay i need to make somes issues clear here. Because many of you are surprise or having some issues with some statement I have made. Well I don't blame you at all, I have been around many African that when there aren't able to achieve something on they own all they can do is complaint.
And I also know when it come to issue of fraud and corruption Cameroon is Nigeria petit frere.
For some of you, YES I'm Cameroonian and I'm proud @ Mr Eke40Seven,
I did my under Graduate in South Africa @ University of Pretoria and my average percentage was 92.5/100. And if some of you are having doubt well I don't blame you only God know what I'm saying is true. And if you want I can give you my fullname in private msg so that you can google my name I'm sure you will find somes of the paper that I wrote during my undergrad, and also price that I won during my curriculum. Or more. I can take a pic of my degree, my academic record with the graduation book with name and you will see where they mentioned I graduate Suma Cum laude, and before I forgot I won't the dean medal.
Well Mrs Crowns2, you can continue laughing and please don't laugh till you break your bed.
I guess it was because of my scientific publication and also achievement that I was offer a Hiwi position with Max Planck Solid state Institute.
Mr Kosplatean I hope I answer your question.
Please anyone coming to stuttgart this summer make sure you secure accommodation, I found a really good Nigerian guy who's working at the Studentwerk who help me secure accommodation since I didn't apply online, as my first choice was Magderbug. So I think if you are struggling he might also be of great help I will ask him about giving his email to student struggling with accommodation.
And I did answer all the email that I recieved, and will keep answering them to the best of my knowlegde.
Best Regards

Bros I hail oo.... Good to know you got Magdeburg admission. I recently applied to OVGU Magdeburg for summer. Can you recall how long it took them to take a decision on your application? it's appropriately 3 weeks now that I made the application via uni assist .

Guten morgen all........
I greet you all .. I recall an issue was discussed here sometime ago about GPA conversion system whether the system of conversion has been changed or not. I mailed uni-assist requesting for the outcome of their evaluation. They said its 2.27 on German scale ( for 3.30/5.0 Nigeria scale ) . So I guess its clear that they maintain the normal system . ....

We operate 5pts here in nigeria. So above average should be 2.50 and above.
If you like italy. POLIMI requires 3pts and above from nigeria. You are likely to be admitted and you can try polito too

Thanks bro, are u saying my CGPA is OK for Finland requirement?
I will check the POLIMI , but am sure they have tuition fee in Italy . just hope its not much .
thanks

@Sonyville, apply to Uni Helsinki, your GRE makes you an Hotcake. Please i need info from you about how i can pass GRE with ease. Then how many days does the result take before it comes out.

thanks bro... I will check the Helsinki university. though I don't know if they have engineering courses especially in mechanical areas. .... concerning GRE , its just good preparation and full concentration. U already know the content ; mathematics and English . so u just have to read read and read ..... its not difficult . u can even score more than mine cuz I made lots of mistakes . As soon as ur time elapses , u will see ur total score displayed on the screen. they later upload it on your GRE portal .

Thanks

Trust me bro, your cgpa ain't a problem. I have seen on this thread a guy that had lower credit and got admiited and right now studying in finland. All you need to dobis to check the schools that has the program you intend doing and email them. I'm about processing my own admission with a cgpa of less than 3.0

thanks ..... but I have been checking . Most of the schools are saying above average grade in undergraduate. I am still checking more anyway .

Also , the schools indicated limited number of applicants .....like I saw two universities that states that only 30 and 35 applicants needed ...

I submitted my Bachelor thesis in one of my application.
In this case, the Bachelor thesis does not mean the full work, but the abstract, as it contains all the vital aspects of the work, from materials and methods to conclusions and recommendations.
If it's a soft copy that's needed, convert the abstract to pdf and upload.
Best of luck

my man thanks for ur response .... its true its necessary for one to have a copy of his/her thesis. I had mine ..but bro my system crash so I lost the soft copy. All I have now its hard copy. So if should try preparing an abstract from it , can omit the data and graphs ? (that's the most important part of the work ) . Or what do you suggest I do ?

pls guys, ensure u save ur thesis and other vital documents like that in ur inbox as draft that's the mistake u made. Even u can duplicate them .

pls I need more suggestions on what I should do .

danke

My people My people ..I hail Una ooooo......
I received an email yesterday from Uni-assist, requesting that I should send my "bachelors thesis" as part of the requirements for my application. I recently applied to South Westphalia university and didn't see that as a requirement on their website. The problem now is that I don't even have the soft copy anymore. Its an engineering project with lot of graphs generated using an engineering software, therefore I can't easily reproduce another soft copy. I will send them hard copy .

my questions:
1- Have anyone experienced this before ? I really need to know whats going on and why are they demanding for it .

2- I have spent a lot in sending documents and making payments to uni-assist, pls is there anyone maybe traveling soon ..likely next week ... that could help me send it ?

3- For an incomplete application, like the case I mentioned above , if I decide to apply to another school , do I make another payment or do I still have the €75 charged for the incomplete application? (lol )

I can't remember the moniker of that guy that said his alien office requested an additional amount (8400) for his blocked account and he sent 360 on his previous balance of 8040 without any confirmation. The truth is that, he will not get one and will only wait in vain, for that to happen, he will need a supplementary form filled alongside the amount to be transfered. I hope he has requested for the new balance under the contact form.
Now to me, its been over 2 weeks I have been debited with the evdence of my Telex without a reply from the bank for confirmation, deadline no far self. The last time I mentioned it, I didn't get one single suggestion, the ones that commented were more interested in the fact that i could press a panic button which I found not so great, the other guy in same situation had given up already, (you wouldn't imagine how it feels).
I have sent email through the contact form, no reply
Replied the mail they used to send my contact details, no reply
Called my branch directly as predicted they wouldn't disclose info on the phone
Sent email to the embassy ....they said they can't help me.
A very dear friend mobilized some other friends too to check different DB branches around, only one came with a positive reply after standing his ground that he won't leave the bank and would rather die there if they don't give him positive response (true friend)..the bank said the amount remained 15 euros that if that is paid, the problem will be solved, that was on friday and it was paid, and an assurance was given that the confirmation will be sent on Tuesday, today na Wednesday, no reply yet.
I have been a bit calm, but I think this require more drastic actions, October is around the corner for me, for my friend, the trauma have not been easy.
If you reside in Germany or have been through something similar and you have suggestions, please contribute, I have exhausted and applied all my own knowledge on this.
Danke Schön!

Brotherly, I understand how discouraging the situation is . All I will say is that
1. wait until Friday . U know these bank people and their procedures. I'm optimistic u will here from them on or before Friday .
2. if by Saturday night u didn't get the confirmation, call and plead ur friend in Germany to be the first person at the bank on Monday . Tell him to remind them that they are delaying your VISA and may cost you your admission (oh I wish I'm the one visiting that bank )

In everything bro , be calm and Pray .... oluwa is involve !

Good evening house.
Got "the mail" this morning. Thanks to everyone who made the entire process fun and worthwhile (I'm seriously resisting the urge to mention anyone)...
*Tip 1*
For all those who haven't funded and had their interviews, stop waiting for any email as I did not get any either (Eke, if God no use blessing slap you ehn grin). Go and fund your account!
*Tip 2*
For y'all looking for flights to book, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays give the cheapest flights of the week. Especially when your date is close
*Tip 3*
Oya where are the Kielites (The ones I don't know yet?) cheesy

Good morning fellow Honorable members, I just want suggest (might be wrong) that all those who are sending their DB application form as requested by the bank should attach a photocopy of their passport bio page plus photocopy of the receipt issued to you by the embassy when you first attempted opening the account. This might distinguish you from others . ..

May the grace of God engulf all of us this week as we awake more testimonies ! Happy Sunday .

have been silently following this thread from 0 page as previously suggested.
but I get confused when I was reading up lang requirement for my course, cos what was tated there was that toefl, ielt is required for country that there native lang was not english.but since our official lang here is english..will getting a proficiency letter frm my school suffice or I nid to take the toelf exam?
just confused.

my guy I would advice you to register and write IELTS or Toefel sharply ..... It won't only complete the requirements but will also boost your chances .. and as Williamso said , English is our official language but not our native language .... meanwhile there are other cases where the school will condition it as " for those whose first degree or undergraduate where taught in English " .. but that's not not the case here from what u said oooo. ..

You can do the two at once. I said that so that you can save the cost of sending documents more than once in case you are applying to more schools and your other schools need you to send the hard copy of your documents. But let's begin this way, what program and course are you looking at? at which level? Bsc or Msc? How many school do you want to apply to?

am applying for MSC in system engineering and engineering management. ... they are the only one open right now Among the schools I want to apply . others will open by November. so u see y I can't send the documents for other schools now . ... but I was thinking of giving someone maybe a Nairalander going for winter by Oct or November my documents to help me dispatch when the november applications open .....

I guess this is for summer admission? As per this school, you will need to send the hard copy of your documents to the school after you might have registered online, and print out the confirmation page. Look for a way to pay the money first before you worry about sending of your documents to UNI-ASSIST.

thanks boss.......
so u are saying the I have to make the payment to uniassist first before sending my documents .? do I also have to wait for the confirmation of my payment from them? I was planning doing both next week .

pls anyone with a different view ?

With regards to your first request, though you might have Engineers in the house, our fields vary, and as such you will find it very difficult to adapt one field to the other. Visit www.studential.com/personal-statement-examples/engineering-personal-statements and read as many SOPs as you can, then adapt to your case. Do refrain from copying verbatim.
Secondly, though it might seem like a lot of work, I will advise you to include the statement of motivation / personal statement, even if you're not asked. Write it, and write a good one. To me, an application doesn't seem complete without this document. Most times, it just might be your saving grace eventually.
Someone already answered your last question. Make copies of the one copy you have, and certify at the appropriate place (high court / embassy).

Thanks bosss..... trust me I won't copy anyone's work ... I will do as u said ....... how ur matter ? teamwinter2015, abi u dey our Bus ( teamsummer2016) ?
