Happy Friday to you All! Please does anyone have information or a contact at the Nigerian Embassy in Atlanta? I love and work in the US as H1B and urgently need to renew my Driver’s License and also travel which requires me having an unexpired means of ID (in this case my Nigerian Passport). I applied and selected the Atlanta office because, apparently, that’s the only functional office post COVID. But I’m yet to get any appointment date. I’ve called multiple times and sent emails to no avail. Please for the Love of God, please if you have any information that can help me, I’ll truly appreciate it. God bless you. Amen. |
But Men here I have a simple question; since you “lick the plate, why can’t you wash the pot?” Only the smart ones will deduce this analogy |

Thanks for sharing! I’ve been to Ogbunike Cave. This was years ago during my high school excursion. It was a site to behold. I can’t wait to revisit this stunning landmark. |
Good Morning LagosNiV, Please clarify. My F1 visa expires in February 2018, while my Post-OPT expires in May 2018. What documents do I need to renew the F1 visa in Nigeria? Would it be worth the the money and time to come for my renewal? Your guidance will be appreciated! |

Good Day All, On Tuesday morning, was at the Lagos Consulate for my F1 interview (Sorry for the late post). Please view my transcript below; VO: Please come forward. SL: Good morning. VO: (no response; He must have been cranky). *Flips through my passport*. So you have a running B1/B2 Visa SL: Yes. VO: So why do you want to study an MBA .... SL: No, not an MBA. Its a Mastes degree. VO: I'm sorry, why do you want to go for a Masters in Project Management? SL: *Gave him my story, linking it with my being an Investment Banker*. When I was done, I said, and here's a letter of introduction from my company. VO: Without looking up, he kept typing but said "Never mind". VO: So, have you paid the SEVIS fee?. SL: Yes I have. It's right there (pointed at the paper in front of him which he clearly missed out). VO: (Keeps typing and typing and typing). VO: Your visa has been approved, pick it up in three business days. Also, make sure you don't present the B1/B2 visa at the POE so it doesn't raise any issues. SL: Thank you very much. SL: So the B1/B2 visa is still valid? VO: Yes it is. I thanked him again and left! Thanks to God, everyone that prayed with me as well as the Special tips from AKO1, KennyRonny, Meritdee. Tuesday was just miraculous because before me, they had only approved a visa for 1 woman and her daughter (an Indian). Every other person had a blue paper (denial). In fact, the three F1 applicants ahead of me were rejected out-rightly. I remember praying as I walked before the VO. God is faithful and kind. Next off, who lives in New York here oooooo. Looking to share an apartment. ![]() |
Thanks alot. I'd take out those points. However, should I state where I'd be stayine i.e off campus? or should I just mention that. kennyrony: |

Good Morning Everyone! God bless you all and Happy New Year. So, I have an F1 Visa interview on the 12th and trust me I am nervous to say the least. There is so much to read but so little time. So I beg you all to please assist me with feedback and clarifications. Abeg. US Visits - I have an existing B1/B2 Visa which I got in August 2014. I traveled with it to the States in September 2014 and I came back in October 2014. Foreign Trips - I have made multiple trips to UK, Dubai, Gambia. Came back in due time as well. Sponsorship - I intend to fund my studies through my savings, on-campus jobs. Admission - I got admitted into New York University for a Masters Degree in Project Management (Spring 2016). Classes starts on January 25, 2016. Documents - I have my I-20 form, SEVIS fee document, Statements, Car document. Employment - Currently employed in an Investment Bank. Relatives in US - Aunty in Texas, Residence in US while studying - Staying with a friend at Queen's NY. So, guys, that's about it. Please share your views on what I need to do, prepare for or look out for. Biko! God bless you all!!!! |
Here's my take, Cookie's gonn' kill Luscious! But first, she's going to take over empire, sort out all her kids in the business particularly Jamal and Hakeem, then kill that MF, Luscious, for killing her dear cousin Bunkie! |
Hi Guys, I got the visa. Thanks alot!!!! However, my Sister in law and her hubby (my brother) were denied. They were however told that they can reapply. So, what do you guys think? Please share your thoughts. Thank you. |
Hello Nairalanders!!!!! Pls does anyone have a sample Budget Spreadsheet used at the embassy ?If yes, biko kindly email me (lovekiiki@yahoo.com) a copy ASAP. My Interview date is August 21st; this Thursday. Bless ya! |
Thanks a lot @Mamacajah and @Egariyi. Wish us luck! |
Hello Ladies, God bless you all now and in advance! Biko I need clarification. My SIL wants to deliver in the USA. We have relatives in New York and we specified their address as where we (my SIL, my Bro and I) will be staying pending her delivery and afterwards. We have been in contact with NY hospitals such as Mount Sinai, Montefiore and St. John's Episcopal but they only sent bills and there has been no other mail from them even after my continuous calls and follow up emails. Truth be told, their prices are HIGH from as USD$10, 963 to USD$22,600. Well, since they stopped responding, we called around some affordable hospitals like Mercy Medical Centre, St Charles Hospital, Lincoln Hospital and Bronx Lebanon Hospital but they all said that they do not send email correspondences and only attend to clients who come in for physical tests. Thankfully, through Nairaland and the wonderful contributors, DoctoresParati is the best bet in terms of cost, customer service and feedback. However, it is in Dallas Texas! ![]() Now my question is this: How do we convince the Visa Officer at the Lagos embassy that we are staying in NY but will have the baby in Texas ? Please reply abeg. The interview is in TWO Weeks!!!God Bless you all immensely!!!! |
Hi Guys!!!! My Sister in law is 30weeks along and wants to give birth in NewYork. We (i.e. my SIL, my brother and I) Have an appointment in a few weeks. What do you think we should expect from the C.Officer? Please share your experience as well. PS: I am sponsoring myself while my bro is sponsoring himself and his wife. Also I have travelled to the UK, Dubai and Gambia. My bro has just been to Ghana but my bro's wife is still a fresher.... Please please reply. Thx!!!!!! |

Guys, I said it's my opinion. You are entitled to yours. And because I don't support marrying outside due to the current unrest, does not make me a fanatic. Wait until you are faced with a situation like this, then you'd make your judgement. Only then will you be honest about this question asked. Ps: No vex. ![]() |
Hmmmm. Well, I doubt, with the state of killings and unrest in this country, I will allow my relation to marry outside. My 2cents. |
As a devout Christian, will you allow your only sister to marry a staunch Muslim or vice versa (i.e as a devout Muslim, will you allow your only sister to marry a staunch Christian). Please be honest and open. We need real answers especially with the ongoing 'rleigious crisis' in the Northern region. Thanks |
