Most sports seem to have its movies. From football with the movie goal!, boxing - Ali or Million dollar baby, basketball - rebound, slam to gymnastics - stick it. Which sport is yet to have a movie? |

jtkoko9: Omg! One thing that irritates me is seeing people taste with the same spoon that's being used to cook or using cups and putting them back in the rack witou washing....ewwwwwThat is so disgusting, using cups and putting it back without washing. Imagine being served with a glass of water with lipstick stain on it. I could not drink the water. I am sure the host was not aware of it but it was so disgusting seeing the red lipstick stain. |
I am sure if I am right about this or not, but I have noticed something about some relationships and marriages. Both parties are always like they don't want what happened to their parents happen in their relationship. The thing is most times these people are killing their relationship. They think they are preventing mishaps not realizing that they are killing relationship. Most times they don't want to be taken for a fool so there are quick to react most times in a negative manner. I have found myself in situations like these whereby my reactions to something as little as a tease blown to the highest heavens. I do things like so that my case won't be like some else who was to blind not see those little black dots or so I won't be taken for a ride. I noticed the same thing too happening to my friend and she was like she does not want what her dad did to her mum happen to her. So she tends to be very very strict with her husband. |
For someone like me when I notice an argument is getting heated with my bf and people are there I smile and walk away. |
You can drink coffee but don't make it a habit. I remember a project I had to complete at work I turned over to coffee to boost my energy. I noticed whenever I had my morning coffee I was alert and ready to complete any task. This happened every business days for 2 months. After that I realized I was very very dizzy, weak and eye sight were blurred. I went to the hospital and I was told my caffeine intake was high. I was advised to reduce it. Right now I take it once a while. Study shows that coffee reduces Alzheimer disease. Don't know if it is true. |
Wow people sure know how to turn a molehill to mountain. For those who do not believe in God while that is your choice if you should not to believe. The topic is a verse from Psalms (book in the bible) which I am sure some are not aware of. chrisj2000: |
Are u just realizing that ![]() |
Wow!!! From what I have read so far, I think the poster is someone who has not experience REAL LIFE. Every thing is served on a silver platter and I guess most of the respondent will testify to it. She thinks life is a bed of roses. Mummy got my back. But baby-girl, look to the future mummy may not be there. Celebrities turns out to be forgotten and not celebrated. So my advise to u, STAY IN SCHOOL AND BE YOUR OWN CELEBRITY !!! |
@Poster I know how you feel. I was once in your shoes. My pressure was from myself trying so hard not to disappoint my parent because of the amount of money paid. Many times I wanted to give up but I tried my best and I did things one day at a time. At the end, I succeeded. Now I am so proud of myself and accomplishment and so proud to tell people about my qualifications. It has brought me these far and places I thought I could not work in. |
@Logicmind There is a void in your heart you want God to fill. As the bible says we fight not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers. You asked for God's wrath but God in His infinite mercy will send you His peace because He is Love. |

Groundnut soup. My roommate gave me some during my NYSC days and yuck. I could not tell her that I did not like it but smile and forced myself to swallow. |

chaircover:You are right chaircover but that is why one need to be involve. I was told by someone who did early child education that you explain things to kids rather than shy away from it. Find out what the child is thinking and why they want that sexy dress or that long hair. It goes a long way but most parent dont have time for things like that. They shift their responsibility to the teachers at school like the teacher does not have his/her child to deal with. |
My friend is not a single parent. I have no idea on the husband take on the situation. Her daughter has been living in that area since she was 3 years old. She went to school to some of the kids in her class. But my concern was she telling me she is the only brown girl in her class. Her mum said the main thing is the subtle race talk she hear whenever she gets home. Like why is my hair not long. Why do I have flat nose things like that. But the funny thing is that her mum said the class teacher likes her so much because she is brighter than her other classmates and she is always assisting in anyway she can. I think that is the way she is learning to build herself up. Like chaircover said, I think it is a female thing. Like someone told me, you get in the face. One can't keep running away from everything so changing her school is not a good idea. I told my friend to volunteer whenever she has the chance in her school. It is at this stage one needs to build self confidence in a child. |
I went to visit a friend the other day and we decided to go to the mall with her young daughter who is 7 years old.I offered to buy the daughter ice cream and asked her which she wanted. She said she wanted chocolate and the next thing she told me was that she is the only brown girl in her class. Most of the people around us where white and I replied that is because you are unique. This got the mum talking. They live in an area that is mostly populated by white folks. She said although her neigbours and people she comes across are nice people, her concern is with her daughter who comes home all the time with one issue or the other. The other day she was like she wanted to let her hair down like kids in her class and that she does not like braiding her hair. The mum asked why and she replied that her friends don't like the way she does it. The mum said she encouraged her that is make her beautiful but she said no. My friend is trying her best to build confidence in her kid but it seems like when she gets back from school there is another issue having to do with race but in a subtle way. In what way can she deal with issues like this. |
I believe in God because I am a witness to His goodness and mercies upon my life. Not once not twice have I been delivered from different situations. I am alive today because God kept me. For those who do not believe; come and see that my God is good and He will perfect every imperfections in your life. In this year 2012 why don't you come and experience His grace. ![]() |
Kids of nowadays are very smart. You need to tell your kids the situation in a positive manner. There are cases of kids going to steal or selling themselves to prostitution just to help their parents. Some kids are not mature enough and may not understand what is going on but they want to help in anyway they can. |
God so love the world that He gave his only son Jesus that whosoever believe in him will have everlasting life. It is so obvious the lady does not know what she was talking about. I mean I have heard some pastors telling people to pray with holy spirit madness. what is the difference with the girl stating that she is a witch for Jesus. People in power in Nigeria always oppress the less privileged. Did he consider counselling? Rather he assumed and believed the girl was evil. So why did Jesus come in the first place. To deliver us from principalities and powers not flesh and blood. I tell you noone is perfect and all has fallen short of the glory of God that is why we have Jesus who came to die for the sin of man. It is not for us to judge people but counsel those who want to be counselled. SHALOM!! |

I love these couples, they have being together for a long time and they are still at it. They don't get the air play they deserve. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ARmnFVUq98Y&feature=fvst https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-n9zAeX16j8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5YTW7Ab-mYU |

Keyshia Cole - Gotta get my heart back |
I was told by someone that I am proud. I took a look at myself to find out if I was really proud. The other day a friend actually complimented about my self-confidence. She said she like the fact that I was a go-getter and I dont let anything stop whatever I want to achieve. This got me really confused because I was disturbed when someone told me I was proud. All my life I always strive for humility. I show respect to people and their belongings because I want to be respected in return. I realized that there are people who want to be where you are and they cannot stand your happiness always look for ways to bring you down. When they realize they can't they get envious. |
What is the big deal if a lady is not married or marries late? Everyone has a choice to make in life. Either you want to get married or not. Those who are married are running out of marriage. I mean Paul in the bible was not married. He was not condemned. |
