OP, there is no presidential election since 1999 till date pdp have not won in Edo state. But it have never be the same in other elections

There's a very big difference between presidential and state elections. In the last election pdp won the presidential election in edo state, immediately 2 weeks after the presidential election the state house of Assembly elections were conducted and APC won the whole 24 seats. Hope that will show to you the voting pattern in Edo state

Sometimes I wonder where most people are getting their facts expecially when it related to Edo state. How can Obaseki win? Edo state have 3 senatorial district of which pdp is very visible in Edo central which have about 16% of the electorates, APC own the Edo north which have about 26% of the electorates and Edo south which have about 58% of the electorates. Edo south is the battle field for the election. Outside the 3 core local government councils within Benin I strongly doubt if Obaseki can win any other local government council. because the APC structures in those local government councils are very intact. APC don't need any form of rigging to win, they already have an edge over pdp

Ishan Language is with a whole lot of Igboish words that means the same thing, whereas, Bini language (though a whole lot similar to Ishan language) has very little Yoruba in it.

I have always wondered why Bini boys didn't roll heavily with Ishan boys back in school. They both had their own cliques made up of wholly men from their tribes.I am not too sure there is such kind of enmity between the two tribes though. Esan agbe Edo
