zendy: Don't talk like that. In civilised countries, if a person kills another person, be it in a military coup or not, be it 50 years ago or yesterday, even in self defence, there will be some sort of judicial enquiry into what happened. Even now in The Hague, second world war criminals are still answering for there crimes 70 years after that war ended. So don't try to cover the fact that because your country is backward, crimes should be forgotten. The Igbo tribe should be tried first because their sons started the killings |

iwadobo: Aguyi was killed because he introduced unitary system which means all wealth ,be it in the north or south belongs to all Nigerians. That was his undoing . The north felt that their money would be used to run Nigeria and they have to hurriedly kill him . They were about to declare independence when they were advised that the bulk of the money being used to run Nigeria Wass from oil and not groundnut . Unfortunately, those that hated unitary system to the extent of committing mass murder for it, embraced it when they discovered that it is another man's money that is to be shared all over Nigeria. Today, no one loves the unitary system more than the Hausa. That is the Nigeria ,our so called country. Nigeria is a fraud hate. This is the type of reasoning that put the Igbos where they are today, politically retarded tribe that called itself a major tribe |

gartamanta: And when Ojukwu got back that 'true federalism' at Aburi, who are the people who fought Ojukwu to make sure that we still practice unitary rule to this day? Ojukwu was pushed by the Igbo tribalistic hormone of I must be the head not really to restore true federalism, why didn't he advice Ironsi against demolishing it in the first place? and he never mention it even once during the so called Aburi accord |

DobleO7: He was the highest ranking military officer at the time and the right person to take over. Even the Northern military officers knew that and had little or no qualms with his ascension to power. The problem was his decision not to deal with the proponents of the coup which bred suspicion and the unquenchable desire to revenge what they believed was an Igbo coup. Gowon was not the highest military officer even from the north but he took over, Abdulsallam was not the highest ranking officer after the death of SANI Abacha but he took over. |

If you really know what true federalism is, then you should know that you don't get it outside your shores. assuming you are right why didnt ojukwu implement it in 3 years of biafra? may be that was why he killed Emmanuel Ifeajuna |

In addition, he led the counter operation against the main plotters of the first coup which led to its eventual failure in Lagos and Ironsi's subsequent assumption of office. when he became the head of state did he arrest and punish the coupists as d law demand? |

All noise And nothing to show for It? Tell me again what you guys are very good at doing? There is this subject called history in secondary school may be you should go and study it. but before then just to let u know that after the return of democracy in 1999 till date Yoruba has the highest number of years in aso rock and the hausas have the highest number of second fiddle you are talking about. if I am wrong show me. This your diluted reasoning is what is keeping you people where you are and it is high time Igbo be down graded as a major tribe to a minor because of its political insignificant. |

Who dont know Ali Modu Sheriff is an APC agent from an APC state and region?
Who dont know APC game to use Sheriff and Kangaroo court to force apc Sheriff on PDP and destabilize the party?.
This is how every rational person sees the present predicament of Nigeria politics.
Sheriff is a very poor excuse for an agent. He lacks the discretion required.
Sheriff was talent-spotted and brought to PDP by your clueless president GEJ, it shows the type of people he was using to ruin and destroy this country no wonder the white people called him ineffectual buffon

A people who don't believe in merit, yet want to be at the top always. It is high time Niger-deltas are allowed to control their resources. If you want to be called 'Your excellency' in a flowing agbada, use your brain and create wealth. blame the Igbos, the hausas were operating true federalism before the 1966 coup and all regions were controling their resources, when the Igbos staged their tribal coup in 1966 they removed tafawa Balewa and installed Aguiyi Ironsi their Igbo man who stop the true federalism and introduced unitary govt from then your people could not control their resources till now. |
