The picture make sense. If u can make out time maybe on weekends to snap him,it would be cool.

I don't understand wat u are saying oo. Gustaf bone structure is better than most gsds I see around,he looks like a DDR not pure tho, and his coat colour is awesome. If not that u have made up ur mind on giving him out, I could have adviced u to keep him and mate him with an outstanding bitch to get a better version of gustaf. U would be surprised to the amt of people that would rush him for stud.
I agree with you some dogs don't look good themselves but they are super producers example is Eric of household

Yea augusto is growing well but it all depends on feeding and genes, sure he's got good genes tho

Since you seem to like Gustaf a lot, You've reminded me to post a throwback picture of him, he was actually 5-6months old when i took this picture

It isn't very clear but he looked good here right?
He has really grown taller and bigger these past few weeks but the only problem is his bones, they ain't that cool but you'll all be surprise if i take my time to snap gustaf really cool pictures
what do you mean by his bones are not cool are they hot grin

Happy Sunday from Gustaf and Augusto

Went to church today and came back late so augusto's breakfast was served late. I knew he was already hungry but showed no sing of hunger rather playing with Gustaf and resting on shades.

Gustaf has got this white kinda hair in the mouth, is it a sign he's already aging?? Aging at 2years hmmm... Don't think so huh
you leave them together ?

I think I've witnessed such case with my aunt's dogs (Murphy's late mum and her brother). This is a serious thing but I don't think that'll be the case here

They've been separated for a month so will they still know that they're siblings?
they will know it's not something you predict or you want to keep them separated. generally it is not advisable to buy two pups from same litter.
PetsRe: Murphy the Boerboel and Gustaf the German shepherd by space9880: 1:05pm On Nov 05, 2019
IamAnderson:
I've heard about that thing before and I've seen it happen in some cases.
it's not just about the breeding, sometimes dogs from the same litter tend to become codependent and they won't have much individuality.
I saw a case like that on social media once that the dogs were guard dogs and they were good at their job if they were released separately but if they are released together they become useless, they just play and cuddle each other and ignore every other thing.
I've also seen a case were the dogs have been eating in the same plate together since birth and when one died, the remaining one was still leaving his bowl half full for his sibling that was deceased, now the living dog cannot finish a plate of food on it's own, it always acts like it's sharing the meal.
sometimes the dogs are only confident when they are together, if separated you'll see how weak minded they'll become but together they rely on each other and become more confident and assertive.
it doesn't always happen but it happens in some cases, it's like when they are together from the same litter for too long they don't develop mentally like dogs that had to learn how to cohabit with strange dogs.
I couldn't have said it better

Lols December sounds far because it's Christmas season but it's actually next month. I'm planning on buying augusto's direct sister too (the one i placed for sale last week). She's a brindle cute babe

What do you think?
can lead to litter mate syndrome
PetsRe: Diary of my Caucasian Roscoe by space9880: 11:14pm On Nov 02, 2019
IamAnderson:
my previous dog had this same problem, he ate his own poop, vomit, grass, sand, stones e.t.c
he also died some months later sad
my dog ate his poop too when he recovered from Parvo infact he has suffered after surviving parvo his right hand leg was swollen the leg was even bigger than his body he could not even stand the pus from the leg will be almost 2 litres it even spread to his abdomen but thank God he is still alive.

So his nutrition is fine.... I'll advice u to go to the vet. My former gsd had such a thing which was diagnosed by my vet. He would try to put anything in his mouth including paper , his own poo, stone etc. He later died due to a nerve problem.

Go to ur vet before he swallows anything that can affect his digestive system
this guy has gone through a lot he ate his poop too immediately he recovered from Parvo but he stopped now he's into stones. I'll see the vet on Monday .

do you give him multivitamin?
locking him inside won't stop the pica syndrome and it can be dangerous for him
formerly used to give gorilla Max, switched to bully Max now I give nothing . I lock him inside to prevent eating more stones

you're right bro my German Shepherd death is still a mystery to me I'm not pointing fingers but I suspect foul play.

try exercising him more often under close supervision.
U could also get hard(durable) toys for him to chew on inorder to divert his attention.
If u are d type that yell at ur dog, try to stop it in order to prevent anxiety and depression.
Proper socialisation is required, it help prevent unnecessary nervousness, anxiety and attention seeking behaviour.
Go to ur vet to prescribe medicines just incase the cause is not psychological.
The problem might even be lack of nutrients.... if u don't mind me asking, wat is ur current feeding plan like?
physical exercise is not a problem I tire him out almost everyday, I have balls we use to play fetch but I don't leave it with him his jaws are strong and can pop almost anything, he is well socialised and behave well in public, he stays inside my house so I don't know the kind of attention he is looking for maybe it's psychological I don't know I used to feed binggo in the morning , JoJo in the afternoon , restaurant food at night but I switched to only booster now for about 2 months, I stopped giving bullymax too I'll start giving him again.

i have a pedigree Caucasian..
it is not by buying a pedigree dog did you study the pedigree to know what you're getting? it is not written anywhere that all pedigree dogs must be aggressive

You've written well, I personally prefer letting my dogs loose anytime am home

As in looking at them locked up inside that cage doesn't make me feel good at all unless we've a visitor
I don't leave my dog even when I'm around I live in a compound with people I trust him but I don't trust them I only leave him at night and he started a bad behavior of eating stones he can finish one full block over night so I've stopped letting him out at all except I'm outside but when I'm going in he goes in too

you can try a different breed then cheesy
I also don't particularly like gsds, don't get me wrong I love all breeds and I have a soft spot for all of them but gsds bark too much and they are too clingy, most of the time they are pushovers too, I like dogs with strong will grin
I don't know if clingier is correct but I haven't seen a dog clingier than a Dobberman grin my only problem with GSD is that they don't get tired my GSD was always ready there was a day we went for a 6KM jog when we came back I thought she would be calm and relax but I was wrong she starting her unnecessary barking almost immediately

Thanks for the compliment brother

Well when going for a security dog one thing we should consider is the line. We all know that rotts and Caucasians are very security conscious dogs but I've seen posts made by few people complaining that their rotts/Caucasian don't bark and all that.

This is what you'll do, start searching for a breeder with good stock. I mean a breeder who got dogs with good guard instincts then contact him, agree a specific price with him then sit back and either wait for the mating to be done, for the bitch to whelp or for the pups to mature before pickup time. Use this medium to work and save up some cash for the pup. The aim is to go for a good pup

I'd advice you to go for a gsd for easier bonding, good drive and training but if you'd like a pit then fine. A friend of mine would be breeding his female pit this winter, both his bitch and the stud to be used posses strong guard instinct which is a good thing. if you don't consider a gsd as i suggested but a pit then I'll help you get a good one with human aggression

One mistake you shouldn't make is going for a pure American pitbull terrier because they're specially bred and programmed-like to have zer0 human aggression but deadly to other animals and dogs, this type won't do any harm to a stranger even if he jumps your fence. I'm not guessing this rather this is the truth about a pure bred apbt.

So what's your stand bro? Have you got fresh pictures of your 6month old boerboel? I'd like to see some!
bros na harmattan not winter grin

it's the food mostly lol, fast food doesn't really have much nutritional benefit, it's just to fill your dog's belly, minus that, the ingredients used to prepare some of them are not good for dogs.
you can feed your dog jollof rice from fast food and someone can feed his dog white rice and boiled chicken and his dog is eating better than yours smiley
true

The both. Food probably contains lots of bones without you knowing, food remains that maybe be containing contents from hand-washing and all that. The morning fresh and soap used in washing and sanitizing hands are chemical and shouldn't be consumed

Btw how's your dog
you're right. he's fine I updated my thread check him out.

too much oily food isn't good for any animal including humans.
if you're going to be feeding your dog a regular diet of palm oil then you should reduce the quantity.
no doctor sef will advice a human to eat oily food in large quantity everyday not to talk of a dog that is less built to process fatty food
palm oil contains a lot of fat and too much fat causes, nausea or pancreatitis.
if you notice your dog's poop is oily or glossy then reduce the oil intake.
thanks for the info

So Beverly doesn't select her food anymore. She eats once in a day at night , her normal kibbles with boiled egg York and any other meat source diced in. She picks the egg York and meat initially but she eats the rest later in the night when I'm not looking. And best of all she has added weight to my satisfaction. grin

She has also stopped being noisy, she doesn't bark at people knocking the door anymore. Her daily routine is now very regular , she anticipates them. And she is very protective of me .

One day one of my neighbors was pissed off at me for not disposing thrash properly and was nagging at me, Beverly gave him a piece of her mind, she howled and barked at him as if to say "hey you don't talk to my dad like that, he means the world to me." grin

So a lady friend of mine spent some time at my place , we got into a funny struggle , I was trying to see what she was hiding in her phone and she was struggling to take the phone back. Beverly though it was a real fight and growled at her cheesy

LMAO I'm so proud of you Beverly. I have no doubt she would taste the flesh of whoever tries to Bleep with me grin

The experience at my new place with beverly has been so good so far. grin
I don't believe the struggle part my mind is telling me something else cheesy
