god_of_music: ok, he didn't go home when they told him his father is dying and wants to see him.
LOL. He was never told his father wanted to see him.
His father died in India while undergoing treatment for his Prostate Cancer, which was starting to look like a hopeless case.

Secondly, he was advised by his family not to worry about coming home as the funeral was shifted to November due to the August rain that flooded his hometown (Uti hails from a riverine area afterall).

Dude was loved by Nigerians to the max, and we were feeling his swag 24/7. Only a small insignificant number of Nigerians supported Munya, and they mostly did it for the sake of acceptance in the eyes of others, as a way of filling up the massive gaping hole where their self-esteem should be grin

I wonder how, with all the so-called "Munya love", Nigeria was still the only country to vote Jennifer when she was up against Munya.
TV/MoviesRe: Big Brother Africa "The Chase" Official Thread by spade: 11:49am On Aug 21, 2013
russello: Melvin is already sure of 5 country votes. So, while we are trying to make it six (6) we must ensure the remaining 9 to 10 country votes are evenly divided among the remain 4 HMs. The strategy here is to make sure no one among the remaining 4 HMs gets more than 4 country votes. That's when you have to go a little bit dirty (which you have been doing unknowingly).

How?
Identify any country that's indecisive about which between 2 HMs (with the exclusion of the Golden Boy), then try voting for the least popular HM using under that country so as to split their votes or give it to the HM that poses least threat.

Examples
1. If Malawi is thorn between Dillish and Elikem....i will vote AAV for Elikem under Malawi
2. If Botswana is thorn between Beverly and Cleo....i will vote AAV for Beverly under Botswana

Hope i'm making sense anyway huh

Btw...anyboby is most welcome to call me a sadist. undecided

At the end of the day this is my prediction for sunday.

Six (6) Countries votes - MELVIN (BBA8 Winner)
Four (4) countries votes - _____
Three (3) countries votes - _____
Two (2) countries votes - _____
Zero (0) countries votes - _____

Feel free to fill in the blank space tongue
You people are goddamned evil! grin

dominique: That's none other than our Beverly o. Smoking n gisting are her hobies grin

Just saw a message on the strap-@SirUti, Africa voted you cos you were entertaining now you're saying they should vote based on morals. hypocrite! I couldn't have said it better myself. Should Africa continue to vote based on the attributes the Nigerian reps display? Next season, if we have another lively 'in-your-face' character to rep us on the show, we'll decide its not a morality show afterall, its all about entertainment.

As for me o, I subscribed for entertainment when I activated my bba channel. Melvin did not give me that, Elikem did. That's why I'll be voting both of them based on patriotism and entertainment respectively.

Off to vote the Tailor. Feel free to bite my head off. Its my opinion, my time, my vote, my money grin

Team Melikem cool (will be droping s some votes for Bev and cleo along the way tho)
You may have a point sha.
Anyway, good luck to everybody.
My own be say Dillish must not touch that money.

Mariarocks: Now can we converse normally?? What regions are y'all focusing on for Mel because I believe a lot of concentration should be given to TZ oh
Definitely TZ and UG cuz I feel the latter is slipping fast.
Kenya seems hell-bent on capturing EA for Dillish, but I wonder if they have that kinda power considering Prezzo couldn't even win Tanzania in the finals.
During the BBAmplified finals, Karen won Tanzania while "EA's Choice" Sharon O won only Uganda and Kenya. So I believe TZ has a freaking mind of its own.

safarigirl: My dear Team bev is not far! You're either for Melvin or you're not! You can't be for the both. If you feel bev is your rep and deserves your vote more then by all means vote for her.

Wetin self...no one is stopping you, do you think popularity vote is votes from your country? It's votes from all over Africa.

Infact lemme just say this, I'm almost 50percent certain that Dillish will win.
Have you seen any Team bev splitting their votes? Rather they are there spoiling Melvin's name in order to get more followers.

By the time they are done, we'll all know what I'm talking about.

Infact Dillish for the money!
Abeg ooo! Helep me tell am.

Mariarocks, you no sabi say if you continue like that, then that very same Dillish you hate so much go collect the money? grin
TV/MoviesRe: Big Brother Africa "The Chase" Official Thread by spade: 8:19am On Aug 21, 2013
Mariarocks: (1)You are one to open your mouth and talk being that you're part of the people that has made this finale most difficult for Melvin. Don't try and talk smart to me like I don't know what I'm doing. I'm not giving Beverly sentimental votes, I'm giving her a well deserved vote. If you think she's burned all her bridges, then that's your messed up opinion not mine. I wonder how you will think her numerous fans in Nigeria are campaigning for her if it were sentimental votes undecided.

(2)For your information, i'm not voting for Beverly with Nigeria's vote. I'm voting in places that we already know are voting for her and even though I'm not voting for her as much as I am voting for Melvin, I will not give up on her because she as much my rep as Melvin is.
I'll start with the first bolded.

Did you just say "Part of the people that made the finale most difficult for Melvin"? You mean when I campaigned for Nigeria to vote Maria instead of Dillish but Nigeria still went on and voted Dillish, making her last longer than she was supposed to in the first place?
"Part of the people that made the finale most difficult for Melvin"? You mean by using my magical powers to coerce Malawi, Ethiopia and Namibia into voting Dillish, even when Naija vote went to Bassey? When you say I'm part of that problem, do you imply I'm Malawian, Ethiopian or Namibian?

When you say I'm part of that problem, do you imply I'm any of the Ghanaian, Ethiopian, Leonean, Angolan or Namibian votes she got when she was up against Cleo and Feza, which, even without the Nigerian vote, would've saved her all the same? Is that the "part" you're talking about, Mariarocks?

You see, the sad thing about people like you, is that you never reread your own comments when lashing out. If you regard my post to you as some kind of "smart talk", then who am I to stop you?

If memory serves me correctly, I urged Nigerians on here to SAVE Bassey using AAV's while voting Dillish under Naija (whether she got evicted no be our headache). Ultimately, Nigeria went to Bassey and the other non-AAV countries voted Dillish. Shebi na me cause am if we're going to go by your hormone-induced post?

Now, talking about "well-deserved" and "sentimental" votes, what's funny is that this is coming from someone who wanted Elikem evicted for the sake of Ghana votes, regardless of his immense contributions to this show. Or would you like us to go down that line? The day I told you bluntly say Ghana no come de house to hold anybody's coat? Do you still remember?

I have said it before, that Beverly's numerous character assassinating lies have rubbed a lot of people the wrong way, but hey, if you feel that's a "messed up opinion", then you're free to believe what you like.

Finally, you claim you're not voting Beverly from Nigeria but voting her in sectors you feel she already stands a chance. But ummm.... You never made that clear, did you? You're on Nairaland, telling people to "Vote Melvin and Beverly", and you're not making it clear if you want them to vote from Botswana, SA or wherever. Isn't that tantamount to causing even more confusion?

All the same, feel free to do what you like. Cuz at the end of the day sha, you don't really owe any of us an explanation for anything.

Cheers.
TV/MoviesRe: Big Brother Africa "The Chase" Official Thread by spade: 6:32am On Aug 21, 2013
Mariarocks: VOTE MELVIN AND BEVERLY! TRY IT, IT'S REALLY NICE. IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT YOU WILL LIKE IT CUZ IT'S NIIIIIICCCCEEEE
Then Melvin would certainly lose this game if it ever came doen to percentage count, because the Nigeria he should be winning with over 95 percent is being split by people telling them to vote Melvin AND Beverly, if you don't know.

Dillish has over 98 percent of Namibia.
Cleo has over 98 percent of Zambia.
Elikem has over 98 percent of Ghana.

So how is Melvin going to win against Dillish (if it came down to the population count) when his sure-banker bloc is being split by people only because they are sentimental about Beverly leaving first?

I'd rather channel my votes to only one person (Melvin) to help him win instead of blowing and wasting my votes on a Beverly who has already burned so many bridges for herself that her case is irredeemable.

It also doesn't help matters that the only way her scanty fans know to campaign for her morally impoverished self is by spreading shameless tales on Facebook about Melvin being a terrorist.

How is it Melvin's fault that this biittch has cheapened herself on TV? Why do they now have to stoop to such shamefully low depths as to spread lies about a guy who's been nothing but honest and consistent throughout the show?

Abeg. Melvin alone jare.

Royal^Pearl^:
I hope you guys are voting and campaigning and not just talking. Even if Elikem does not win. He is the real chase

Saw this on FB:
First of all I would like to congratulate all the HMs for making it this far..and may the.
best HM win..However we ask ourselves.who has been the best HM...this is BBA..its all about Good, fun, entertainment and Strategy..Your goal is to eliminate your opponent..like a chess game hence the. chess theme used in the show at one point...If u look closely at all the opponents who would you say, entertained us the most, who do u think eliminated the opposition and was the main talking point in the game. Thisis not about acting all goody goody in the house and expecting to win , its about who played the game the best way possible. I think Elikem did it best than anyone else and gave us lots to talk about.
From his Feza friendzoning in DH, to his liaisons with Fatima (probably to make Feza jealous), to his chase antics with Pokello, to his quarrels with Natasha, to his tension-filled reunion with Fatima, Feza and Pokello all in the same house, to his tension with Oneza, to the point he became Public Enemy number 1 in Ruby House where everyone wanted him out including Cleo (where she gossipped him to Sulu, referring to him as 'black' while referring to Pokello as 'white'), to his tension with Nando, at that point I thought it was over for him..at the garden when everyone was against him so much so that.
he had to leave the garden for the room, to defeating and overcoming his enemies one by one! C'mon guys if this is not the best player I do not know who is. He is also really creative nad has marketed himself well.He is also good entertainment. C'mon people..vote for Elikem. U know he deserves it.
