omowolewa:29 million in one month🙄🙄🙄 |
Leboska:Who allowed the governor to gift 300 million without oversight, does the money belong to him. |
Jestin:That is a lie, I know lots of guys that don't smoke |
Sheuns:Something he paid for, the babalawos that gave him the title are hungry, if you have money They will give you one too, nothing special. |
nnachukz:Here is your mistake, my information is not based on speculation, I read foreign magazine and online newspapers. My mistake is assuming you read anything other than what is posted on nairaland, Because if you did, you wouldn't have assumed such a ridiculous notion. And for the record I rate myself high, and I use the same expectations on everyone, sorry it's inconvenient for you. |
nnachukz:When you make unremarkable statements, you get that kind of response. You making speculation, you work for the Chinese 🙄 The Chinese president has said no negotiation, if they raise the tariff, they will do the same. What is your justification? |
nnachukz:My friend shut up, China didn't negotiate with him, they raised their tariff to 125% as well. He has been humbled simple. |
blaise26abj:His name would have gone into the books as the only governor to be removed by the president, nothing else, it is completely insignificant. |
It going to be a great day, I love raining season, I love the cold. |
Fiscus105:What is there to effect, SC said they don't have jurisdiction, they matter should be settled internally. If you have something to say, say it, don't join issues, nothing to enforce. |
Period007:You expect the importer to sell below the cost price? The real question is, will the alternatives produced in the US be cheaper? The answer is NO, The government doesn't set price for goods, the president doesn't have that power. Even if he does, his body language says he won't, he wants a more profitable industrial business environment. |
Dreamhans1:The part you don't get is, people living in the US will definitely buy those imported products they have been buying and they will continue, the difference is, the quantity will be lower. Take Nigeria for example, when Buhari stop importation of rice, local rice was cheaper than foreign rice before the government stop the importation, what happened after, the price of local rice is almost the same as imported rice, why? Because farmers discovered Nigerians hand no choice. The only difference is the government stopped the importation instead of increasing tariff, which is the best, because tariff won't force people to start farming, it will only allow a select few to be able to buy at higher cost, which will still drive the price of the few locally made ones up, everyone wants profit, you should keep that in mind. |
SalamRushdie:You are joking right, China is about 1.4 billion people, they own more than half of Africa (including Nigeria) that is about 400 to 500 million People. It's the US companies that relocated to China that will suffer, China don't care, for everything produced by the American companies China has 10 alternatives, Trump will lose, he is fighting for the owner of X. |
udemzyudex:He can't reduce minimum wage, he can't restrict regulatory agencies, he is trying to force the companies back to the country, But the reason they left can't be addressed. Even those still in the country do most of the labour intensive parts in China and complete the rest in USA. What he doesn't know is, the reverse will be the case, once everyone starts paying in the US for the tariff, those still in the country will have an excuse to raise their price, and when they discover they are still not making enough profit they will move as well. Let me give you an example for cheap labour. In Nigeria, if you want to do renovation, you can decide to pay the state government agency some money and they will allow you, You then go ahead and employ who can do the job, be it bricklayer, painters, welder, as far as they are good, you negotiate with them and they go ahead and do the Job. In UK for example, you can't do that, before you begin anything, at least 3 to 5 regulatory agencies will visit, depending on if it's residential, commercial, factory, the kind of facilities that you want to use, waste management, water, gas. Then when you want to employ workers, you can't just pick anyone, they must have certifications, register with appropriate body. Sometimes the cost of labour is higher than materials, the right word is most time. |
SalamRushdie:Seriously, do you even understand what this tariff means, the United States depend on China for almost everything. Trump is trying to pull back factories that produces most of their stuff in China back to the US. BUT, there's a good reason why they left and those reasons are way more heavier than tariffs. 1. Cheap labour, the minimum wage is going up, there's no way to get cheap labour. 2. Labour laws, the laws in the US are too strict and must be followed. 3. Regulatory agencies, this need no introduction. 4. Environmentalist and strict environmental protection policies. 5. Raw materials and it's availability. 6. Cheap alternative materials and availability. 7. Steady government policy. These are just over a few and because I am on the move, the advantages outweigh whatever tariff he impose. |
AntiMarxist:Are you sleeping, two election has been conducted. |
fuckingAyaya:Really, so he has been in custody of Biafra all this while, why didn't you say. You can tell how someone was raised by how he describes his home, Nigeria is not a zoo, and even if it is, it belongs to us. |
fuckingAyaya:Is your brain working backward, he is prison of the zoo and being judged by the zoo but somehow, he is the one slaying the zoo ![]() I give up on you guys. |
Sonofgod1990:Really, hustle with what? if he has 700 million dollars to invest in a country, that means he has at the list 3 or 4 times of that, but his name is not in forbes. You can't tell me he huzzle to make that money, even you speaking don't have 10 million dollars. |
Jorussia:The truth is, they were not prepared for the tribunal during the election, They felt they would win so didn't care about evidence, so when it was time they had to make do. |
NetbizBoss:Why? |
neolboy:Married for just 9 days, please share More details, for we that are already afraid of marriage to get more scared. |
Nigeria just like useless comparison, the United States budget as 1976 was about 350 billions, last year was about 7 trillion dollars. Every country in the world experienced it. |
SensualMan:This is the major reason protest fail, ethnic bias. The igbo don't believe in Nigeria, but want the support from all Nigerians The Yourbas are too educated and religiously inclined that they can't unite under tribe. The North are the only people that practice politics, they are united in religion and tribe, they speak and move in the direction that benefits them. Bottom line is, we as Nigerians can't be objective, most of the youth treat everything like football. We just support a someone and don't care if they are wrong. Generally Nigerians don't care about Nigeria, we just care about ourselves, if I can make money while everyone else is suffering, all good, if my source of income is the reason for there their pain, they are haters. And then there are a group of people that once they lose an election, they hope and pray the country burn. It's like OUR PAIN AS A COUNTRY GIVE THEM A SPECIAL KIND OF JOY. |
Lanre1st:Justice or judges don't use logic, they use evidence. 1. The wife said he was kidnapped, but she's aware he booked a flight, and there was no evidence of kidnapping in Abuja, no news of such. 2. He called major TV stations for the first, second broadcast, none of the TV representative could say he wasn't present or or he was speaking at guy point. 3. In the last video, he said he has spoken with his wife and they will meet up after his meeting in Abuja. 4. His wife has no evidence of any of what she said, especially as she didn't work in the same office. 5. You assume the wife knows his point of view, because she said so, but refuse to believe the owner of the point of view even after saying it 3 times, maybe you are a mind reader, because even in the court of law, nothing best first hand account, whatever his wife said is considered hearsay, it can carry some legitimacy if he was dead, but while he is alive, it's not acceptable as evidence anywhere. Finally, you can pretend all you want, spread speculation and baseless accusations, but it's now on record the governor has a lot to answer, no level of public sentiment can help him, no story of godfatherism will distort it. |
Lanre1st:Will keep quiet, this is his 3rd video explaining he wasn't forced, you will rather cook up lies in your head. Stop spreading your ignorance. |
Akinpresident:You expect him to speak up in the presence of the Governor, now is the best time to speak up, the governor has limited influence. Ordinary local government chairman in my area will make a King to cry not to talk of Governor, he won't even leave Rivers alive, no TV station will air it in the state. |
Dotherightthing:Na to leave my car for house, 80km on 3rd mainland bridge 🙄 That's like 60km on my speedometer, by the time it's at 80km I go don violate tire. |
Agbegbaorogboye:You forgot to add Peter Obi already 63, even if we raise it to 65, by the time Tinubu is done with second term he will 67😂😂😂 Dey play. |
Hemanwel:The recovery you are expecting can only be done by God or if every other country press pulse on their own economy and wait for Nigeria to catch up. The effect is a slow burn procedure, dollar stability is more important and that has been achieved, what that means is we can only improve from here, there were speculation that dollar will get to 3,000 that kind of uncertainty is bad for the economy now everyone knows it is important. Same with everything mentioned, fuel price, forex, are all dependent on the dollar but you see that Nigeria problem, Dollar can't solve it, It's as much as Nigeria population. |
illicit:I thought you said the refinery is a scam Lamba |
Saao:But that was the election slogan if memory serves, now they are not Muslim anymore 🙄🙄 |
