ivandragon: N150b vs N5trn... ok.
The only Nigerians who don't reason are those who see potential fraud and justify it. Feel free to feed off propaganda.
Est quod id est Fraud, bridge was constructed at 300billion per kilometre, you didn't cry fraud, but a 4billion per kilometre coastal highway is fraud. 5 trillion spent for 700 kilometres, come on, compare the amount and the distance, stop acting like they are both the same, actually at 150 billion spent on 1.6 kilometre, that will be 150billion x 350 kilometres. That is still over 3 time the total figure of of 15 trillion. |
Politics › Re: 6 Strange Things About The Calabar-lagos Coastal Highway by sparko1(m): 8:32pm On May 06, 2024 |
ivandragon: The FG paid 15% of the total cost of the bridge.
The N15trn does not include the train track. Most of you just talk without even knowing what you are talking about.
Which politician are you talking about? You think everyone a××licks politicians like you?
I don't even get some of you. Even in 'victory' you come across as hurt. Enjoy your coastal road. Firstly, you were misinformed, the federal Government spent over 150billion on that project. Secondly, the coastal road is not going to be completely funded by the federal Government, as a matter of fact, of the 15 trillion, less than 5 trillion naira is going to be from federal. Finally, I don't belong to any political party, my point is, a Nigerian, think for yourself, stop following beer parlour gossip. |

ivandragon: Can you compare a N300b project to a N15trn project at a time when the government says there is no money? It's okays to spend 400billion naira on a bridge of 1.6 kilometres, that's about 300bilion per kilometre, that's about 210 trillion naira for 700 kilometres Even if we cut that in half that's still over 100 trillion. This is a coastal road with Train that can move goods along all the coastal cities, did you even try to reason or you just disapprove because your Lord and saviour said so, I mean he did approve the change of Naira by Emeifele and buhari, looking back how unreasonable was it. That alone should tell you, everything out of his mouth is just political, his a politician, he doesn't care, he just wants to be a force to reckon with so you can vote for him next tim |

ivandragon: Again, it is a good project, but not a priority at this tight times.
There are already existing roads in need of repair at the fraction of the cost of the estimated cost of that coastal road that would serve an even more urgent purpose than the coastal road.
When this turns out to be the shambles it would eventually become, some clowns would turn on Umahi and his tribe and conveniently excuse the person on whose table the buck stops. If I remember correctly, there was one Niger bridge while the second one was constructed, it wasn't a bad then right? I mean they could have just repaired the previous one and not waste money on the second one, the first one pass through all the SE states already right? |

Israel invaded Palestine, stole their lands and demolished their homes. Palestinians have every right to resist oppression, colonialism and genocide.
below is proof.
Did you know?
This attached document displays Shimon Peres, the eighth Prime Minister of Israel's work visa permit that was issued to him in 1925 by "THE GOVERNMENT OF PALESTINE"
Within this paper, it testifies that Shimon Peres took the following oath: "I swear to God the almighty, to be loyal and faithful to the State of Palestine."
The work permit that Shimon Peres applied to was for him to work as a street cleaner. Here you go again, from one standpoint. Nice they have the right to fight, so what exactly is the point of this discussion, if they want to fight and Israel is prepared to fight, why ask for negotiation, fight! |

I commend Spain and Ireland for this.
Netanyahu has done everything humanly possible to kill any prospect of two state-solution, but it will eventually happen.
For people always blaming Palestinians for rejecting the two-State solution, it is the other way round You can't site one article for reference, you don't negotiate when you have no leverage. They started it, now they are beaten and of course will love to negotiate, when you attack a country, what were you expecting, can any country try it with Russian? The reason is because Russia will level the whole continent before listening to the cry of a baby, considering the geographical location of Israel, if they don't respond accordingly, the attack will be consistent, now anyone with same idiotic ideas will think twice, is it fair, maybe not, is it justified HELL YEAH! |

The issue of his deputy should have been managed properly, now, they have both Oshiomhole and Deputy to contend with. 2. The deputy has a loyal following something they should have put into consideration. 3. LP candidate is a write off, the name betrayed him and there's no coming back from that. 4. santaclaws: Oga travel blogger, Landmark is a private business and even the demolition didn't affect his major buildings. What they lack direct access to is the beach front, which doesn't belong to anyone but the public...
I condemn the FG & Alausa for allowing private individuals and businesses encroach the beach front in the first place. I think they really deserve the negative publicity they're getting. You don't get it, the land that belonged/sold to landmark is untouched, because the area between them and the water was inhabited, they decided to use it as an extension, it happens everywhere, market, shops do the same, but once the owner wants to use the land, you have to move. Those that have been to beach resort can atest to this, even though the government allowed you to use it, doesn't mean it automatically belongs to you. |

Less than 100 billion onto SMEs and expects us not to import This sounds like a child with a phone, there's basically billions of naira of agricultural produce that is being destroyed and wasted because of lack of favourable means of transportation. During the orange season, if you go to some villages you will weep for the farmers, trucks and trucks loads of oranges perish by the road because they can't find cheap and affordable means of transportation. Bliss4Lyfe: Is it the investment that is the problem or the nature of the investment in terms of your religious sensitivity to brewery or alcohol;? Religious sensitivity It's shameful because 30 million dollars can start a brewery? So tell me, why invest so much in a company that you can start with way less? On average, the cost to start a brewery is in the range of $500,000 to $1.5 million. For larger breweries with more varied craft beer offerings, startup costs can reach as high as $2 million. https://pos.toasttab.com/blog/on-the-line/how-much-does-it-cost-to-open-a-brewerySo tell me why invest 30 million dollars in a business that 2 million dollars can start, that is the textbook definition of money laundering. It's therefore shameful (that's if you're still oblivious) because, if the most decent person (according to, the youth, young Nigerians, and himself) can openly launder money and still walk around like a saint, what does that say about the rest of us. |

Yes yes I know the above flew right above you sha Sometimes it's better to be quiet and be considered a fool, this response is too lame. The outlook alone is shameful, a governor buying shares in a brewery lol! Come on, I am ashame to type it, I mean sometimes I still expect PO to deny it, it's too shameful. In civilised world, we refer to it as money laundering, yeah, when you can't steal money from government then you desired to buy worthless shares. Now you talk about exchange rate, do you know what 30 million dollars means, do you even know how exchange rates works? You can't buy shoes, bags, soap, rice, beans, drinks all in dollars and expect a miracle, this is the repercussions of those years of wasteful spending, importation, money laundering and all bad decisions the previous government and PO if I must add brought upon Nigerians. |
