Family › Re: My Younger Brother Is Gay by sparko1(m): 11:24am On Jan 05, 2024 |
Ikanium: He's my parents last child, he's 19 now. I feel he was born gay because right from when he was a child, he acts like a woman. He'll prefer to play with dolls, he'll tie wrapper all the time, we felt this was just a small kid thing and that he was going to change when he's all grown. Unfortunately for us, i think he's gay now completely. I'm just devasted right now really don't know how to go about this.
I returned home for Christmas last year i couldn't believe what i saw my brother doing. I have had a discussion with my parents we really don't know what to do right now.
Any advice in the right direction will help please. Thank you. About 8 years ago, I created a post on Nairaland about gays been born that way, so many people were furious with me, even the mod couldn't attempt to move it to front page even though it was research backed. Now 2024, not even up to 10 years like I suggested. Just pray nobody can trace you, there are people willing to kill anyone with the word gay. |

It appears that referring to them as being poorly funded is not an accurate assessment. You think 3 propeller equals well funded? In actual combat, the accuracy of those hand rocket propeller is 50% at best, a single artillery can confound them. |

Babysho: I'm 189cm tall, fresh out NYSC and I've recently began working my first 9-5 job in Lagos and inorder to cut costs, I've had to opt for public transportation and I've found that the leg room is never enough in both those yellow buses and the BRT. I'm tired of folding like jeans in suitcase, my back won kpeme and I'm not 30 yet. It's even worse in traffic.
First of all, I don't think 189cm is that tall. Also, I'm suspecting most of these buses are shipped in from Asia where the minimum height is the lowest in the world.
Tall Nigerian working class, how do you cope? It's worse even when you want to buy a car, I had to go for an SUV instead of the normal ones I prefer. Leg room, head room, I have stayed bent for the duration of an entire journey because I couldn't sit straight, no head room. |

Dying over a single carryover course in Nigeria, that after graduating, there is no job guarantee for you on that same degree certificate you are dying on top now. where even first class graduates are still jobless for the past years. Whereas some people are still burning their certificate out of frustrations. It might seems like that to you, but honestly, I once cried because of a B, my HOD was just looking at me like, are you okay I mean I have never had carryover before, I am sure I won't be able to walk home. It's not surprising in my case, I had nothing else apart from my studies, I don't have extra curriculum or parties so a B is not acceptable. |

Jennyclay: Another post demonising single mothers . Just look at that nonsense man shouting “100% true” repeatedly!! Mtcheww!
Biko, Let her speak for the single mothers in America
Most single mothers here in Africa, Nigeria to be precise are doing great job raising their child(ren).
Let’s understand there are many situations that make one a single mother, situations like.. widow, irresponsible father, rape, deceptive boyfriend etc
The question we should be asking ourselves is Who is the better parent?? Is it the woman that actually stepped up and took responsibility OR the foolish, deceptive and good for nothing man who abandoned his child and his responsibility?? In Nigeria?? You're kidding right? A lady raise by a single mom is a bundle of problems waiting to happen. Nigeria is the worst country to be raised by single mom. |

1TrippleCee: Nigerian rice diesnt taste good. Lets focus on the cassava our geography is suited for, produce excess of it and export and use the excess funds to buy good rice. Abeg Keep telling yourself that. You should travel around Nigeria, we grow apples, strawberries 🍓 everything perfect in some middle belt, as a matter of facts, most of those things you think is foreign are produced in Nigeria. |

soccerlite: Rice is a staple food for every home
Nigeria isn't producing enough for various reasons
Why should border not be open to supplement for the short fall
And let people have food to eat
What's rice production to nigeria economy growth, negligible
Even major cash crops which give multiple returns of income are not looked after
Well maybe you feel rice should be good for the rich politicians alone, others should be eating garri, fufu only The bolded is exactly why I think you are a child, a 50kg roce is 43k that is less than 43 dollars, nobody needs to buy a bag, you can buy 25kg, besides at what price do you think the foreign rice will be if imported through the right source? Smuggling and corruption is what got us here, you want the border to reopen so you can destroy the economy completely. Who told you we don't have enough rice I have friends in Benue, kogi, lokoja, with loads of rice looking for buyers. |

1TrippleCee: If it doesnt taste well, how can it contain the same nutrients. Abegi. Stop talking up your ethic centered governance. Nigeria has a country doesnt have the capacity to farm good rice. Simple as abc. And for farming, i farm tens of acres Ethic? What does that mean, every geopolitical zone plants rice. Northerners are the only group that plant in commercial quantity, how does ethnicity come into this? I remember someone wrote a piece about local rice on nairaland but as usual, people like you always want to act pouch, if you want foreign rice import directly and pay all the duties on it, don't expect us to open Nigeria border so you can start illegal wholesale business, or you think we don't know the reason for all this ass-licking of foreign rice? https://www.nairaland.com/5702014/health-benefits-nigerian-local-rice#:~:text=These%20nutrients%20include%20carbohydrate%2C%20protein,iron%2C%20selenium%2C%20manganese%20etc.&text=One%20of%20the%20nutrients%20present,reducing%20and%20preventing%20digestion%20disorder. |

1TrippleCee: I have not tasted good rice in years. Do you know the horror this creates and causes us as a nation? So it's about palatability, you can't expect to taste the same, but I can assure it, it contains the expected nutrients. I am sure there's land in your village, grow good rice if you feel those growing it are doing it wrong. We should learn to feed ourselves if not, by 2100 the country will be so indebted we won't be to afford anything. |

1TrippleCee: It wont work. 20,000 bags for millions of people. Open the border and give tax grants to import rice.
It is not just the availability and viability of rice the quality of the produced rice matters more. The policy of encouraging home grown rice has failed. For eight years has failed to produce top quality rice You want the border opened because of the price but at the risk of the economy, by now we should be able to produce enough food ourselves. The cost may be high but it's a gain for the economy. |
