A very sad story indeed, Facebook user Amy George has shared a bitter story of her a very rich family she knew, went totally broke, with Zero kobo after listening and brainwashed by their church, Without wasting much of your time, read her sad piece below!

''I’m not sharing this story to disparage the church nor any relationship but if you think otherwise, it’s irrelevant anyway…
Last week, my mum and I visited an old family friend whom I have known since childhood. I felt awkward or rather regretted ever obliging to such request (visiting them).

As I was growing up, I used to know this family to be well off, Tom tom (not his real name) was a wealthy businessman who made a fortune with a very simple business. They were one of those families that promised me some goodies after my tertiary education. Walking into their sitting room, what I saw saddened me.

There was No television, no curtain, everywhere was virtually empty! I felt bad thinking maybe the obvious (grace to grass) had happened. I sat down on the bench in the sitting room and a lot was going through my head. ‘Maybe Mr Tom tom had some setback ‘, ‘what if he was duped’? ‘Or he lost everything to the bank’. My mind turns to the random thoughts but that’s neither here nor there as my brain cells turn the pages of the past like a funeral dirge. I can’t help but wonder why Something felt like it was constantly missing. This was a family I looked up to. The son was my best during bible classes. The children had the best primary and secondary education. Like what happened?

Uncle and aunty changed to ‘Jesus must come’ kind of churches.

They were told to stop chasing wealth as it is vanity.
They were advised to share all they have acquired from the ‘vanity kingdom’ to the less privileged.
They were called to bring souls to church (I used that because we know what winning souls for Christ tastes like).

Uncle and aunty left their business (the vanity), shared what they made from the vanity kingdom to those vanity children that needs help.

Uncle and aunty stopped work, invested their time to winning souls and increasing the members.
These, they did for over 10years!!!
10years until they realised they are left with nothing!

How can you be brainwashed to tasting poverty.
The seven children were looking thin and tacky.
I saw my best boy, called his name- tears couldn’t stop flowing.

They lost everything – money, friends and family because they deserted from everyone. ‘Their’ church made them believe anyone who isn’t a member of their church is a sinner and cursed. And until they give their lives to Christ by attending the ‘jesus must come’ church, they must not associate.

It’s hard to believe. I read stories, I watch clips and never imagined I’d witness it in lifetime. It can’t be them.

They are educated, they were RICH! Super RICH! So how did this happen?

My mum asked my aforementioned best to come home with us so he could take ‘anything’ for dinner, Aunty shouted in igbo (I translate);

“Mama junior, don’t worry. God sees and he knows the best. Job suffered more than this.”

We got to the car, I asked my mum why we visited, because obviously- a part of them didn’t welcome us. She explained; “Her Husband called on phone few days ago and narrated their ordeal. He asked I come over, so I came with you.”

Uncle has seen the light, aunty is yet to see the reflection. Prior to our visit, the family only had 200naria okpa for the day. The church isn’t helping, the church isn’t paying the fees, the church advised you stop chasing vanity. You are bringing members to the church yet there’s no benefit to your family. It’s over 10years ma. My uncle is tired! Can’t you feel your husband?

Unlike my mum, I don’t want to believe it’s ignorance though we know the obvious. I’m here hoping God remembers such faith.
How would it happen when the couple are jobless and now phlegmatic about ‘chasing vanity’. Certainly, God might send a Good Samaritan to share his vanity with them. He works in a Mysterious way.

Oh I remember; Job indeed suffered more!

I’m waiting to update my version of the bible with their testimony;

Sticking with a man to whom you are not married and who cheated on you with several women, impregnating two of them in the process (baby mamas) whilst dating you, and then became an accidental 'baby-daddy' is NOT LOVE just because he bought you a #45million car.

You are a needy, opportunistic, parasitic, gold-digging, low self-esteem sufferer. A Stockholm syndrome patient. You are not loyal. You are a liar. A prostitute and you share some moral equivalence.

The only reason any woman would endure contemptible treatments from a man is because of what she looks to gain materially and financially. Let's stop ridiculing the word 'Love' for the sake of posterity so that they'd be able to distinguish between virtue and vice.

There is simply no virtue in staying with a man who openly disrespects you over a period of years. None. And buying you the moon  and stars  will not make up for him treating you like human fecal matter. Money cannot buy moral worth. Rather money distorts moral worth. And that's what is happening these days.



Permit me to digress a bit whilst I elucidate on point of ethics.

Humans are created with a deep sense of moral worth. This simply means that every human being loves to be treated like a rare and precious stone. It's just the way our Maker made us. The desire to be loved, admired, desired, respected, treated fairly and kindly is part of our teleology. So when anybody willingly and voluntarily subjects himself or herself to vile and inhumane treatments for other considerations it basically reduces that person to an object rather than a subject. The person has objectified himself or herself.

Believe it or not, what we are witnessing today is one of the unintended fallouts of the extreme faction of feminism: The Moral Self-Depreciation of Womenfolk. After all, the cardinal philosophy of modern feminism is CHOICE and SELF AUTONOMY. So who are we to question a woman who CHOOSES to stay in an abusive but profitable relationship? If she has a right to choose who stays in her body and a right to choose her role in a marriage, why not this?

I once wrote a piece on the tyranny of freewill (choice). Generally, humans don't have the tool box necessary to make good choices. A man's choice will only be consistent with his true nature. And man is deeply flawed by nature, hence his choices must necessarily be flawed. A greedy man will always choose money above morals, yet he needs morals more. A dog by nature must bark and a cat moan.

Knowing this, it is therefore suicidal to build an ideology on human choices and self autonomy. Nobody (man or woman) should be self autonomous. In reality, nobody is. Everyone needs a governing and regulatory authority that sets boundaries; both moral and spatial boundaries. This is necessary for the survival of humanity because our natural appetite is self destructive. We need to be delivered from ourselves.

Feminism is toxic not because of its intended consequences but because of its unintended ones, and we are already seeing them play out. If consistency matters, no hardline feminist should be able to condemn any woman who chooses abuse and disrespect over self dignity. IT IS HER CHOICE!

We should not teach our daughters that CHOICE is the best power they have. Knowledge is. With knowledge they'd understand that they don't just make choices but that their choices make them.

The young lady's choice makes her a disgrace.

I was born into c Christian home, they always took me to church and I did like they do cuz I thought their taking me to church to hear about Jesus was same as their telling me fire would burn my skin. I just assumed god exists and Christianity is true cuz everyone I like shares the same opinion. I even believed I had a Personal relationship with Jesus and talked to him while he also talks back. until one day I asked myself what if all these are made-up bullsheet? what if its all a lie? what's that thing that can only happen to a non Christian? I dumped Christianity after asking myself "Why do you believe this?", the why question lead me to realise it was all indoctrination and once one starts questioning the Bible, one starts to see it for what it is (Myths, fables with some genuine history sprinkled in here and there)

I found out the reason man created gods, Mankind has always feared his own mortality. So we will always have people that want there to be more. Mankind wants there to be a why to our existence, and some may never totally accept we are no better than a fly.
To believe in a God is to relinquish your ability to seek the truth... To simply give up on the answers to the impossible questions... To stop using the most important of Human faculties, the ability to question... All questions about the universe, pain, suffering, evil, morality etc...God did it.....now get back to work and pay your tithe because he needs money...

I begin with the question; Would an all powerful divine being, capable of willing the universe into existence, use a convoluted book of indeterminate authorship and origin to communicate the most important message imaginable? why would evangelism even be necessary? God could just beam the knowledge of Christianity directly into everyone's heads, or at very least talk to them like he talked to Paul or the prophets. Hell, instead of running off to heaven and never being seen again, the risen Jesus could just travel the world proclaiming the truth of his resurrection and performing miracles to prove it. It's not like he has anything better to do.
Why would an all powerful god need flawed, ignorant humans to communicate his message, especially when that message is the most important thing a human being could possibly know?

The sheer number of religions in the world should also be thought provoking in itself. There are hundreds of variations
of Christianity alone. Sadly, instead of calling the source material into question, far too many people delude themselves into believing everyone else is wrong. They do this without realizing they are accepting a paradigm that says, in essence, a divine being who willed the universe into existence couldn't get his/her/its story straight.


After considering all these and many more I received my salvation from the stupidity of Christianity

Kaduna central senator, Shehu Sani has openly stated that Nigeria will never be restructured before or after the 2019 elections.
