Religion / Re: Share Your Salvation Experience, What Led You To Christ? by specco(m): 9:47am On Apr 29, 2018
hopefulLandlord:
I was born into c Christian home, they always took me to church and I did like they do cuz I thought their taking me to church to hear about Jesus was same as their telling me fire would burn my skin. I just assumed god exists and Christianity is true cuz everyone I like shares the same opinion. I even believed I had a Personal relationship with Jesus and talked to him while he also talks back. until one day I asked myself what if all these are made-up bullsheet? what if its all a lie? what's that thing that can only happen to a non Christian? I then realise I never had any relationship with Jesus rather believed I had just like a mad person can believe Buhari is a white athletic young man

I dumped Christianity after asking myself "Why do you believe this?", the why question lead me to realise it was all indoctrination and once one starts questioning the Bible, one starts to see it for what it is (Myths, fables with some genuine history sprinkled in here and there)

I found out the reason man created gods, Mankind has always feared his own mortality. So we will always have people that want there to be more. Mankind wants there to be a why to our existence, and some may never totally accept we are no better than a fly.
To believe in a God is to relinquish your ability to seek the truth... To simply give up on the answers to the impossible questions... To stop using the most important of Human faculties, the ability to question... All questions about the universe, pain, suffering, evil, morality etc...God did it.....now get back to work and pay your tithe because he needs money...

I begin with the question; Would an all powerful divine being, capable of willing the universe into existence, use a convoluted book of indeterminate authorship and origin to communicate the most important message imaginable? why would evangelism even be necessary? God could just beam the knowledge of Christianity directly into everyone's heads, or at very least talk to them like he talked to Paul or the prophets. Hell, instead of running off to heaven and never being seen again, the risen Jesus could just travel the world proclaiming the truth of his resurrection and performing miracles to prove it. It's not like he has anything better to do.
Why would an all powerful god need flawed, ignorant humans to communicate his message, especially when that message is the most important thing a human being could possibly know?

The sheer number of religions in the world should also be thought provoking in itself. There are hundreds of variations
of Christianity alone. Sadly, instead of calling the source material into question, far too many people delude themselves into believing everyone else is wrong. They do this without realizing they are accepting a paradigm that says, in essence, a divine being who willed the universe into existence couldn't get his/her/its story straight.

After considering all these and many more I received my salvation from the stupidity of Christianity
Another soul lost to Satan and Hell fire!
The devil is wicked and cunning.

But Nnewi people are the least to be associated with laziness. They are the most industrious group of people in a defined geographical area.

Sir Louis Odumegwu Ojukwu...the 1st to own a Rolls Royce in Nigeria, borrowed by Nig. govt to ferry the Queen on her visit.
Ekene Dili Chukwus
Coscharis
Ibetos
Capital Oil
Innoson....the 1st indigenous vehicle manufacturing plant in Nigeria
Eekesons
Chicasons
Cutix Cables
etc, etc

So what is this man saying? Just ready to put down your own people to defend the indefensible. This man has no shame

Okupe just spoke the truth. All the Afonjas on this thread are doing is just 'damage control'. Okupe spoke straight from his mind. No political correctness.
That Master/servant aspect is not a revelation but rather a confirmation of how other Southern regions view the North and yoruba relationship.
Regardless of how pivotal Asiwaju was to Pmb's enthronement he was thrown out just immediately.

Praying to Jesus or in Jesus name are the prayers unanswered.

And on the day of judgement you will be one of the greatest loser, hell will be the abode.

Sorry, Jesus was not created. He is God(John 1 vs 1-3). He only came to earth in a human form and was born(John 1 vs 10). He existed ever before then.

Politics / Re: Nigeria Will Never Be Restructured - Shehu Sani by specco(m): 7:07pm On Aug 12, 2017
itsdumebi:
Kaduna central senator, Shehu Sani has openly stated that Nigeria will never be restructured before or after the 2019 elections.

Sani cautioned Nigerians not to be fooled adding that politicians are engaging in cheap talks about restructuring in order to buy time before the campaign for the next round of general elections commences and then buries the issue of restructuring.

In post on his social media page, Sani wrote;

"No ‘restructuring’ will take place before 2019; it will be all talks, storms and ‘buying of time’ until the drumbeat of elections eclipse that of ‘restructuring

Restructuring will be in the campaign manual of all Nigerian political parties for 2019 general elections.

Some will even back it up with documents both soft and hard copies. Some will even share DVDs of how the polity will be restructured. After the elections then ‘the Government needs to settle down’; then the ‘Government need to study the document’,”

http://politicsngr.com/2017/08/12/nigeria-will-never-restructured-senator-shehu-sani/
What audacity! He said it with all finality. With the skewed present National structure that mostly favoured his people(North) put in place by military fiat by succesive Northern military dictators . Kano state alone having more than 50 LGAs while Bayelsa state that lays the golden egg has only about 8 LGAs.The entire North has more Senatorial/Reps slots than all the South which also translates to more votes in the National Assembly. We can appreciate Mallam Sani's position.

Now they recruit some Igbo faces like Charlyboy and Jim Iyke into the struggle to give the protest an Igbo face while they remain in the background feigning indifference, afraid of incurring the wrath of the North. Oby Ezekwesili's show of shame with the BBOG team is still fresh in our minds. Use and Dump syndrome. Igbos get some sense.

Actually, when you ask an igbo man not to boast, then you are sniffing the breath out of him. An igbo man is always a natural chest beater.
But actually, actually why shouldnt an Igbo man boast.
After the civil war(1970) an Afonja man devised an evil strategy to keep Igbos pauperised for ever by giving each man a mere £20 irrespective of how much he has in his bank account.
Hahaha! the Igbo showed their mettle and God-given entrepreural talents and bounced back within a short time, even surpasseing all others.
Why cant an Igbo 'boast' after all the gang up in adverse economic policy formulations geared towards stiffling their businesses, they still thrive.
●No single seaport in all SE, they still survive.

They also let out too much information due to excitment when Evans was caught, even the technology and some covert moves that were employed to nab the notorious kidnapper were disclosed not knowing that others are watching and learning. God help us.

Twisted logic of a confused mind. In Nigeria setting, your surname depicts your lineage unless you decide to adopt another name (preferably: English). And I dont see an Igbo hater with eyes wide open who would adopt an Igbo name as SURNAME. Not possible. How many Yorubas, Hausas , Fulanis or Edos bear Igbo Surnames just for the liking. Get sense, afonja!

'Evans' not surname...doesn't sound Igbo but 'Oyenusi' sounds yoruba.

Let's all assume referendum is the way to go, and Igbos decide to remain. That will still not make them become president. Who is going to vote for an Igbo presidential candidate? Is it the Northerners they call backward people or South westerners they call cowards? Politically, Igbos are the most naive group I have ever seen. They suck in playing political cards. And if they decide to opt out, trust me, nobody wants them out of their region more than Yorubas and Hausas
Do you ever think that a Yoruba man can become the president of Nigeria again through the ballot box after betraying the SE and SS during the last general elections that brought Buhari? No SE or SS person will give their vote to a SW candidate again. In the event of an Northerner and a SW man vying for Aso rock seat, surely the SS & SE will vote for the Northerner. Hausa/Fulanis all the way.
