Nairaland GeneralI Survived A Serious Accident. by SPEEDEPITOME(op): 5:50am On May 24, 2015
I left school for Abuja on Tuesday for an Action Aid Programme slated for Wednesday 20th May. The programme -Safe Cities For Women Campaign Launch- which was held at Millennium Park, Maitama , Abuja was a success. I checked out of my hotel on Thursday and went to the park. The bus did not move on time and surprisingly unlike other passengers who were complaining I waited patiently. Out of boredom at the park, I started surfing the Internet even changed my DP, little did I know that that would have been my last. Somewhere along Lokoja-Okene road, The bus swerved off the road. At first, I thought it was one of those times when a bus just 'almost' loses control and gets back on course, so my thinking was "o ma balance". Reality dawn on me when we crossed the other lane, still to the side of the road and down we went. The bus tumbled into a ditch. We started making efforts to get out, at last we found out way out through the window-not all of us though because some were unconscious. People who were by the road side and saw the bus falling came to our rescue. The ones who were unconscious were rushed to the hospital and others helped in picking some things they could. Phones, glasses, slippers, bags and so on. I had no open wound except the bruises from finding my way out through the shattered glass but my head, neck or shoulder are swollen because I landed on my head or shoulder- I don't even know. I have gone for treatment but my knees and hip bone aches seriously. I give glory to God for my life.

Please let us always try to balance our advice.
Verbal and emotional abuse is as bad and evil as physical abuse! Both of them are guilty of abusing themselves. Both of them lacked self control, though I will blame the woman for aggravating the situation by blocking his exit and smashing his phone....
Don't mind them. The way people reason these days, I don't understand. The guy clearly acknowledged his mistakes. Physical violence is bad, emotional abuse is worse. There is one point people seem to be missing here; everyone has a limit, push them beyond that point and they will snap.
Ladies seriously need to watch their mouth o. Imagine you insulted daylight out of a guy, you locked him in when he wants to leave and still expect him to pamper you. Haba, we are human- flesh and blood.

PoliticsMy Brother Did Not Apply For INEC Job - Gov. Mimiko. by SPEEDEPITOME(op): 7:20am On Feb 16, 2015
Ondo State Governor Olusegun Mimiko has denied the rumour that his sibling, Prof Olufemi Mimiko, is eyeing the chairmanship of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Prof Mimiko recently completed his term as Vice Chancellor of the Adekunle Ajasin University (AAU), Akungba-Akoko.
There have been speculations over the move by the Presidency to sack the INEC Chairman, Prof Attahiru Jega and replace him with Prof Mimiko.
Speaking to reporters yesterday in Akure, the state capital, the governor said:”I don’t know where the propaganda came from. It is not true; my brother did not apply for INEC job.
“Let me tell you, it is just propaganda from the opposition. If this is true, I should be in the best position to know. I don’t know what they want to gain from the rumour.
“President Jonathan had also denied that Prof Jega is to be removed from office, so it is a lie. Prof Mimiko did not apply or lobby for INEC job.
On the statement credited to former President Olusegun Obasanjo that President Goodluck Jonathan deliberately shifted the polls to scuttle democracy, the governor said the evidence on ground could not support the postulation of the former president.
According to him, INEC was not adequately prepared for the election, especially in the distribution of Permanent Voter Cards.

There is a way the subconscious relates with the conscious. Ever noticed that whenever you wanna ease yourself in your dreams, you might wet your bed in the process. Ishilove's comment explains that.

cococandy, don't be a victim!

räpists don't openly brag about sėx or talk about women. in the eyes of the world, he's a virgin whom no one has seen with a woman. he's often referred to as a model husband or boyfriend cos he hardly womanises or do the typical things normal guys do.

his räping spirit is his dark passenger. he talks to no one about it unless himself - and the reason he has not been caught is because he's careful enough to avoid certain topics & attributes - so when a man tells you he's a virgin......remove your shoes & run faster than usain bolt!
The truth has been spoken.

EducationWhat Exactly Is Plagiarism? by SPEEDEPITOME(op): 3:56pm On Oct 11, 2014
After reading several comments on Linda Ikeji's ordeal, i came up with this question.

What is plagiarism?

There is an argument along that line on a thread in the front page and from there i was able to deduce that people have different opinions on what constitutes plagiarism, some people do not know what it is exactly and how serious an offense it is.
Plagiarism, to me, means taking someone else's work(s) and passing them as though it is/ they are yours.
So if you know well , what you please do well to explain what constitutes plagiarism.

If you must listen to nigerian rappers, listen to the intelligent ones like vector, modenine, M.I and jesse jagz.

Just a word of advise
Thanks for the advice.
For Nigerian rappers; Modenine, Vector and few others do the trick.

Iceprince is something else . But for the chorus and the beat, you would think you are still listening to the same track.
