Jobs/Vacancies / Re: What A Man That Earns 100k+ Told Me When I Wanted To Borrow N500 From Him by spill(m): 3:34pm On Jun 27, 2023
FeelGoodAlways:
Times are definitely not nice to Nigerians. The streets are not smiling. People are not happy. You could see from their sad faces.

I am an undergraduate working as a security guard at night to help myself financially.

So due to fuel situation and the economic effects, I have been trekking to and fro the place, because no money and the transport is very expensive now. Today, I didn't feel very strong to trek back to the place due to malaria seriously holding me down. I approached my neighbor who is earning over 100k+ salary, minus side hustling to help me with transport fare to go to work. Guess what? He started by laughing cheapishly. When he paused, he narrated how he trekked back from work on Friday, trekked to and fro work today being Monday and not sure how he'll get back to office tomorrow morning being Tuesday. That the new transport fare has eaten deeper into his small earning that even before middle of the month, the salary had long gone. Last night, the children drank Garri to go to bed and this morning, the children left to school drinking only Pap and he put only N100 Akara for each in their lunch boxes. Sad story. He added that due to the economic impact of fuel subsidy removal, retrenchment letters for 3 of his colleagues in the office are ready to be served by the end of the month, and more to go.

Who will rescue us, we don't know? Sad truth is that the money that will be generated from this subsidy removal will not be put to use to the benefit of the commoners. It's just a plot to generate more money for the elites/thieves.

Could you believe that nobody could borrow me N500 in the whole compound? Incredible.

Well, even when I wasn't feeling strong to trek coupled with all I'm passing through financially, I just had to trek which I did.

I picked up this job because instead of sleeping freely at night and when the rent expires, the landlord would come after me + plus all the bills heaped on me, I could rather spend the nights here reading my books, sleep (even though not as recommended) and still earn some money no matter how small.

Finally, I would say do well to help people when you can. People are going through a lot. Not untill the start falling in the street.

*In mama P. voice* - "God will see us through".

God bless all hard working Nigerians no matter the tough times we face.

I sent you mail, Kindly respond to the mail.

Your prompt response would be greatly appreciated before my 10MB vanishes.

Car Talk / Re: My Car Is Killing Me. Please Help Me Before It Finishes Me. by spill(m): 2:16am On Sep 08, 2021
Hi Mskrisx,

Always call or visit mechanics that scans your car first before repairs or visit car scanner guys, it will definitely help.

The way I work on my car is this, I invite a car scanner to scan my ride anytime I notice anything abnormal. Immediately the problem codes are pulled out, I collect all the codes, make research and watch YouTube videos on how to fix the problems.

Then I will invite a mechanic and direct him on what I want him to do. I'm always willing to pay the mechanics well but must follow my instructions while working because I have done my research very well.

I drive around with less stress and I scan my car like 2 times in a month. I tried getting a scanner to be scanning it myself but Jumia delivered rubbish scanner that takes forever to connect to my car. I will make out chance visit the market and get a good scanner for myself to reduce cost of inviting the car scanner.

Always know the cause of the problem before working on your car. Don't allow mechanics to suggest or guess.

Finally, collect and keep safe every part a mechanic removed from your car. Make sure you collect the coils he replaced and keep it safe.

wow!! Found this thread sometime in 2014 but didn't have means to use the information here (no laptop and Android phone then) fast forward to some years later got the gadgets needed but then studying one of the most time consuming course Architecture.

Just rounded off with b.sc this year and now planning to start rendering architectural services on fiver before m.sc. But don't know what it requires...well, I can use the following softwares.
Archcad
Revit
Lumion
Twin motion
Atlantis.
Pls sir, I want to know whether the listed softwares are enough to set up a gig. Thanks

You are more prepared than I was when I started working on Fiverr. With good communication skill and zeal you will succeed working on Fiverr.
Go, explore and succeed.

I have to post this to encourage someone to keep pushing on Fiverr.

I started my journey on Fiverr few years ago after reading the posts by Beatzone(God bless him).

This is my first time of making over $2,000 in a month. I have been close to 2K USD severally but it happened today.

Note: I'm a Nigerian Architect, working with Nigerian profile, with my real picture and I have never purchased review since I joined Fiverr.

I love to see people speak against Yahoo... Fraudulent activities of youth should be frowned at and discouraged at all level.
Many youths now wants to get rich without working....it's insane and should not be a way of life.

Work hard, work smart, take risks and believe and you will make it in life. It's much easier to make money in this generation. Alot of opportunities abound.

Family / Re: The Biggest Mistake In Marriage Right Now For A Woman by spill(m): 7:35am On May 23, 2020
KingSatan:

As a man, a father and a grandfather. I have lived life to an extent and this is my view on this subject.

The previous thread was simple and concise, "Never marry a woman who has no means of income".

But that is the truth!

Gone are the days when people marry "Obiageri's" according to the Igbos.
Back then, things weren't this bad. Considering the family setting in those days, women had no other role than to cook, birth, raise children and clean the house.

So their parents prepare them for marriage, teach them how to cook, satisfy a man and raise children. They also spend alot of time grooming their hairs, taking care of their skin (Some parents send their children to fattening rooms) and waiting to get married.

When we got married, we married to keep them at home and show off to our friends. Only a few of us married because of love. Some of our partners were not our choice but our parents.

So when you marry, your wife and children should always reflect your wealth and networth. Most especially, YOUR WIFE.

I repeat, back then things were not this bad and everyone knew their roles.

But in today's world, so many things have changed.

Women should bring to the table as much as they expect from the man.

Raising children costs alot of money and shouldn't be the responsibility of the man alone.

So many marriages have crashed on the alter of poverty or "One stream of income".

We must learn to tell ourselves the truth always.

Back then, you don't spend so much to raise a child. If he or she wants to go to the community school or follow the white man's way of life, you send them as a punishment. But those humble and loyal sons, follow you to the farm and when they come of age, you give them farmlands and wives if possible. But that's not the case anymore.

Apart from formal education abroad, I also encouraged my children to learn sellable skills. One of my son is a fashion designer and that is what puts food on his table in the UK. His college degree only reflects on his call cards.

I told this to my children (Daughters inclusive) never to marry a man or woman who has no verifiable means of income.

Money is needed to run a home in the 21st century. Alot of money!

We no longer live in mud houses or drink from pots.

As for "Entitlement", I think every couple should have that mentality depending on the context.

The man is entitled to his wife's emotional commitment. She is his wife and this also applies to the man.

I am tired of typing.

To be truthful, i warned my son's against mingling with an average African woman. They simply don't want to know the truth. They hate the truth with Passion and that is why true feminism failed woefully here.

In the Diaspora, most men who want peace of mind avoid African women because of their "Entitlement Mentality" and how exploitative they are.

Many of these women don't work but enjoy proceeds of child support from numerous partners. You think it's a coincidence? No it not. It was deliberate.

They just want to seat at home, get fat, enlarge their butts and walk up and down the street like a pussy cat that resides in Buckingham Palace.

Should I talk about Nigeria, where you meet an average Nigerian lady and realise that;

1. She is a college graduate because a "Man" sponsored her in school (Both of them are no longer together as a couple).

2. She has a roof over her head because a "Man" made that available (She has no intention of marrying him).

3. She uses the best smartphone because a "Man" bought it for her (Just another random man).

4. She has clothes on her body because a "Man" gave her money for shopping (Obviously he is "One of those mugus"wink.

5. She has food on her table because so many men send her money.

This same woman has no other skill but sexual skills. The only thing she can offer is "Sexual Intercourse", "Birthing Children" and "Companionship" but she expects the man to "Mark her birthdays with a brand new Escalade", "Buy her parents a new house and train her younger ones in school". Is that not exploitation?

This same woman hates her mother inlaw because she sees her as her rival. Anyway, women have always hated themselves from time immemorial, don't get moved when you see them shout in solidarity, it's just for a few seconds.

When asked about their contribution in the relationship or Marriage, some will say "I birthed children for him". But that's your natural default woman!

Even if you sleep with a sexually active mad man, you will get pregnant and birth for him.

Some will even say, "I satisfy him sexually. I gave him my body and soul". But that is same thing you did with your numerous ex lovers.

According to Pastor Sam Adeyemi, he said "If a woman does not help her husband financially, then how else does she want to help him".

In this age and time, it takes two adults who have a verifiable means of income to build a healthy family.

Cheers!

Most reasonable post I have read on this forum for a very long time.

Keep it up Kingstan

Level 2

I learnt that the early payout is for selected test group. Previously I thought this option was available to all sellers.

For the early payout options, Fiverr charges 1% of the amount.

It's not a Nigerian/African thing. Many sellers from other countries have been complaining about the same issue on fiverr forum since late last year.

I think it's due to a change in their algorithm. A possibility is that they don't want a particular set of gigs/sellers dominating the first page. They are probably trying to give everyone the opportunity to "taste" the front page once in a while.

My observation; if my gig, on last page, is able to win some good paying jobs through the buyers request page, the gig would jump straight to the front page.
If it were to be a Nigerian/African thing, the gig would not jump to the first page.

The points above remain my speculations

I have been reading about Nigerian Fiverr Sellers complaining about last page and relegation issue.
I confidently run my Nigerian account and I'm still getting orders( I got three orders today negotiating the fourth order) although I have subsidized my rate a little.

THE GUY I QUOTED ABOVE HAS ANSWERED THE QUESTIONS YOU ALL HAVE BEEN BOTHERING ABOUT.

With 400k you can get 1000pieces of Original Nivea products....

A lotion of nivea is sold for #1500.

Let's say you supply at wholesale price of #1300 per one.

That means 1000pieces is #1,3mil.

Note this nivea is not the mushin products...
Direct from Germany...

Also condom business is there... You buy for 45nair 3in1pack. And sell for #100 or #150. Depends...

Also lighter business
You buy #20, sell at #50.

All this business's requires distributorship marketing and mobility.
You supply to every shops you see around that deals with this items.

They are so many other business to go I to...

Choose supply and distributorship today...

Hi Boss,

I'm very much interested in this business idea especially that of condom bulk buying.
I have lot of contacts to supply condom to, pls respond at your earliest.

Sorry sir. are you refering to withdrawal from fiverr to your bank directy OR from Payoneer to your local ban Acct?

Also, do you know how long it takes for withdrawal from Payoneer to local Bank Acct?

Apologies for the late response.

You have to earn a minimum of $20 both on Fiverr and Payoneer to initiate a withdrawal to you local bank account.

It takes less than 24 hours for your money to land into your local bank account.
My last week withdrawal landed within 4 hours which has been the quickest so far for me.
