I am also having some challenges with my mercury 2.4 inverter and 2 genus batteries 200ah. I purchased the system 3months ago
Since phcn has been better over the last 3 months in my area I have enjoyed the set up.
But now things are back to a bad state.i have a lot of questions. It takes almost 24hrs to get the batteries charge to full.
Eg 7 hours of charge (5hrs generator 2 Nepa)
Only lasted for 3hrs with just 2 ceiling of fans
I am really confused
Please help

On the back of the inverter there is a charging current mode switch, please ensure that it is set to 20A, then charge with NEPA until the digital display on the front of the inverter shows four solid bars. How long it will take to fully charge will depend on how low the batteries are.

I would expect it to last for 12 hours or more with just 2 fans, if there are no issues with your batteries.

Spinola, I have gone to that website. My questions are:
1.) How many hours does it take to charge Mercury 1.2kva Complete Inverter System using a 2.5kva generator - FULL CHARGE
2.) How long can 3 ceiling fans last after full charge on Mercury 1.2kva Complete Inverter System.

Ans 1 - 6 hours or more depending on deepening on the depth of discharge

Ans 2 - If you are running just the fans, it can run for 12 hours or more depending on the wattage of the fans

Do you know where I stay?how I'm I supposed to know the guy is not a professional?quit the rudeness.He Installed a CCTV for us and adviced we should install solar as well.Ours is just to pay him we don't know anyoelse to do it around here.He didnt Install any charge controller with the solar.He said there is no need that the solar is connected directly with the battery.I don't know the capacity of the panel.our usage is A 42" tv,home theatre,3 rechargable fans,energy saving buls.

The guy is not only not a professional, he is a dangerous criminal. You need to take the advice given by Chris and get a real professional in ASAP. It is essential that you do this so you don’t lose the money you have invested and more importantly to ensure you and family are not in any danger.

I bought this 2.4 kva mecury inverter but yet to get a battery, I connected it to a wall socket but there was no sign on its digital display nothing to show that the device is on. Is this normal or could it be the device is faulty. Urgent response is needed as I have just few days option to return this device

It is normal, the Inverter needs to be connected to two 12v batteries in series inorder to generate the required 24v. You can find the Installation manual which explains all at mercurydirect.com.ng/blogs/mercury-inverters/58851973-mercury-inverter-user-manual you have bought an excellent Inverter which will give you many years of loyal service.

please gurus in the house,help.We just Inatallwd an Inverter with 2solar panel and two batteris last week.Unfortunately,the back up time doesn't last long ,maximum of 30min.The inverter is a 2.4kva and the batteries,one is 200Ah and the second is 100Ah.These batteries are not even charging with the solar.We have been using gen and phcn to charge them.Even if u charge through out the night,we still get the same result.After calling the istaller for sevwral days,he just came to rectify the solar,that we will still need at least two more solar panel to caarge the batteries.Im already fed up.

It is generally not a good idea to mix batteries of different sizes, I would recommend that you use either two 100ah OR two 200ah Deep Cycle batteries

With regards to solar panels for two 100ah batteries i would recommend Monocrystalline solar panels totaling 400 watts or more and for 200ah batteries Monocrystalline solar panels totaling 800 watts or more
