I have a 2008 Toyota Yaris that I bought in 2010. The car developed this issue about 2 years ago to which I have spent a lot without any solution:

1. If I press the brake while I motion, it takes a lot of time to pick up speed again when I decided to accelerate again.
2. I will have to press the accelerator to the highest level before it picks up, only to repeat No. 1 above again.
3. If I put on the AC, most times it works. Most times, the car will start vibrating until I am forced to put off the AC. The AC will also start blowing hot.
4. If I am unfortunate to enter "hold-up", the car will be vibrating so vigorously. It also off itself intermittently, which necessitates re-starting everytime.

I have spent a lot on it including taking it to auto-garages for scanning and repairs. I have changed practically everything, including fuel pump, filter, plugs, IC, coil etc etc.

I will be glad to get professional recommendation here.

Ex-international, Adokiye Amiesimaka, says the lack of quality players in the Super Eagles is responsible for the draw back the team has been experiencing in recent times.

Amiesimaka, who was a member of the victorious Green Eagles squad that won the 1980 AFCON in Lagos, said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos on Wednesday.

The former winger added that the players lacked the finesse needed to play at the world stage compared to what was obtainable in the 1980s and 1990s.

“Sometimes one just gets bored you know talking about same thing; I have never seen any people as indulgent in wishful thinking as Nigerians.

“We just don’t have the players; we don’t have the players; look at them individually; look at the quality; compare them to what we see every week in the (English) Premier League.

“Compare (them) to what we see every week in La Liga; compare (them) to what we see every week in the Bundesliga; compare (them) to what we see every week in the South American league.

One of the arrested members of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Hon. Afolabi Akanni has died in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS).

This is made known Thursday during an emergency press conference addressed by Hon. Lanre Ogunsuyi, the state’s Commissioner for Information, Youths and Sports Development. In a press release by the commissioner, the state “calls on the DSS to immediately clarify the situation as to know the status the member representing Efon Constituency”.

It will be recalled that some members of the state’s assembly have been in DSS’ custody since they were arrested on March 4, 2016.

Gentlemen of the Press,

Information reaching us indicates that one of the abducted members of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Hon. Afolabi Akanni has died in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS).

It will be recalled that the honourable member has been unlawfully incarcerated in DSS custody since March 4, 2016. A court order directing his release since March 11, 2016 was ignored by the DSS.

Significantly, since his illegal detention, he has been held incommunicado without access to his family members, doctors and lawyers.

We call on the DSS to immediately clarify the situation as to the status (dead or alive) of Hon Afolabi Akanni, representing Efon Constituency by producing him physically for all Nigerians, particularly his immediate family to see.

While we are waiting for the DSS, we urge every resident of Ekiti State, particularly the people of his immediate Constituency in Efon to remain calm.

Suicide bomber this morning hit a mosque during the Subh prayer killing more than 25 and injuring at least 17 Muslims in the process.

According to a report monitored on SaharaReporters, this happened in Umurari, a village on the outskirts of Maiduguri, Borno State.

An emergency services worker said a loud explosion rocked the local Mosque shortly after prayers began in an area known to be Boko Haram stronghold some five kilometers from the state capital.

Against protocol, the Ekiti State governor, Mr. Ayo Fayose on Sunday prostrated flat before the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, on his arrival at the oba’s palace in Ile-Ife.

Fayose was in Ife to attend the thanksgiving and wedding reception of the newly-wedded monarch.

While interacting with newsmen, Fayose said the first-class oba symbolizes unity and will bring developments to his people.

“By the office of the Ooni of Ife, he needs no message, knowing him as the direct son of Oduduwa, he has a direct communication with God, there is no doubt this Ooni will make impact beyond Yoruba land, beyond Nigeria, and he’s a blessing to us, we congratulate him.

“Ooni simply symbolizes the unity of Yoruba land and with the initiative of this Ooni, it is clear that he is God sent.” Fayose said.

Oba Ogunwusi had earlier in his welcome address thanked everyone for honouring his invitation. He also thanked God for making the day a reality as he starts a new life with his wife.

It will be recalled that Oba Ogunwusi on Saturday married former Ms. Wuraola Otiti, a daughter of the families of Obanor and Obayuwana, in Benin City, Edo State.

Bobbi Kristina Brown’s face being immersed in water, along with drug intoxication, led to her death last year, a medical examiner said in a statement released Friday morning, reports CBSNews.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office in Atlanta released the statement on the death as it prepares to release the full autopsy report.

The 22-year-old daughter of singers Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown was found face-down and unresponsive in a bathtub in her suburban Atlanta townhome Jan. 31, 2015, and died in hospice care July 26.

The medical examiner’s office said it reviewed medical records, investigative files and other documents to determine how Brown likely died. Marijuana and alcohol were involved in the death, along with medications used for sedation or to treat anxiety, the medical examiner’s office said.

“The underlying cause of death is the condition which starts the downhill course of events leading to death and in this case is the immersion associated with drug intoxication,” the medical examiner’s office said in the statement.

A judge on Thursday granted a request filed by media organizations to unseal the autopsy.

Parents who upload pictures of their children on social media could be sued by their sons or daughters under France’s privacy laws.

Mothers and fathers face a year in prison and a fine of £35,000 if they are convicted of publicising details of their children’s private lives without their permission.

Experts claim French children could sue their parents for posting pictures of them on websites such as Twitter and Facebook.

‘In a few years, children could easily take their parents to court for publishing photos of them when they were younger,’ Eric Delcroix, an expert on internet law and ethics, told Le Figaro newspaper.

‘Children at certain stages do not wish to be photographed or still less for those photos to be made public.’

And adults who sue their parents for breaching their right to privacy when they were children could receive compensation, experts say.

In February, the French Gendarmerie – concerned about the security of children – posted a message on Facebook, which read: ‘Please stop posting pictures of your kids on Facebook.’

‘Remember that posting pictures of your children on Facebook is not safe,’ it added, according to The Local. ‘It is important to protect the privacy of minors and their images on social networking sites.’

As the nation is waiting with bated breath to see to the happy re-union of Ese Oruru and her parents, another case of abduction has been reported. This time in far-away Sokoto State.

Issac Adaji Paul, an Idomaman from Ohimini LGA of Benue State, claimed two of his neighbours, Monde and Suleiman forcefully abducted her younger sister, Patience Paul, with the intention of converting her to a Muslim. The incident which took place on August 12, 2015 was done in cornivance with the Hisbah group of Gidan Kukah, Runjin Sambo Area in Sokoto.

When the case was reported to the police, Paul claimed the abductors confessed that they indeed abducted the 15-year-old girl and took her to the Sultan palace. He was however surprised when the police advised him to go and maintain peace with the abductors, saying there was little they could do in the circumstance.

Paul, who gave his contact phone numbers as 08063358061 and 07083285018, is appealing to all well-meaning Nigerians to assist in re-uniting them with her sister.

Lagos lawyer, Festus Keyamo, has reacted to the controversy over the abduction of 14-years old Ese Oruru.

Taking to his Twitter handle @fkeyamo earlier today, Keyamo warned against forcefully keeping a 17 (Ese) and 18 yr old (Yinusa, her abductor) apart in order not to recreate another Romeo and Juliet tragedy.

Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy written by William Shakespeare early in his career about two young star-crossed lovers whose deaths ultimately reconcile their feuding families.

Keyamo apparently was reacting based on the information that Ese was 17 and not 14 as earlier claimed.

However, latest report this morning has indicated that the girl might actually be manipulated into saying she was 17. Her elder brother, Onome, in an interview with Punch correspondent claimed he (Onome) is 16 so there was no way Ese could be 17.

He opined that even if she said that she way 17, then it means they are the ones manipulating her to say such things, because Ese that he knows cannot say such a thing.

Today is Super Tuesday, the biggest day of the 2016 primary season when the greatest number of states hold primary elections. More delegates to United States presidential nominating conventions can be won on Super Tuesday than on any other single day of the primary calendar. Candidates seeking the presidency traditionally must do well on this day to secure their party’s nomination with 13 states and one territory participating.

On 8 November, America is due to elect a successor to Barack Obama, a Democratic president standing down after two terms in office which have seen the Republicans take control of both houses of Congress.

Opinion polls give Mr Trump a lead in the Republican primaries, while Mrs. Clinton is expected to win in the Democrat primaries.



How many states are voting?
Republican race: Eleven states in all will vote. Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Massachusetts, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont and Virginia will hold primaries to select the Republican nominee. Meanwhile, Alaska and Minnesota will hold caucuses.

Democratic race: Eleven states in all will vote. Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Massachusetts, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont and Virginia will hold primaries to select the Democratic nominee. Meanwhile, Colorado, Minnesota and the US territory of American Samoa will hold a caucus and Democrats abroad will also submit their votes.

Other events: Republican party officials will hold election-related events in Colorado, North Dakota and Wyoming and in the US territories of American Samoa and Guam, but no votes will be cast. Party leaders in those states will eventually assign delegates to candidates with input from party members.

When should we expect to get results?
Most polls close at 1900 or 2000 EST (midnight or 01:00 GMT on Wednesday) and we could start to get results soon after. In Alaska, caucusing goes on until midnight EST (05:00 GMT). Exit polls should give an indication of the winner in each contest.

How does Super Tuesday work?
Each state handles the voting process differently: some are primaries, which are run by the states; others are caucuses, which are typically put on by the state parties.

How are Super Tuesday delegates awarded?
Super Tuesday could be a pivotal day for frontrunners Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, depending on the number of delegates they secure. The Republicans on Super Tuesday have an opportunity to win about half of the 1,237 delegates needed to claim the nomination. On the Democratic side, Clinton and Sanders will be battling over more than 800 delegates–about a third of the delegates necessary to win the nomination.

The Republican National Committee decided back in 2014 that all states holding their nominating contests before March 15 must award their delegates to the candidates proportionally, rather than on a winner-take-all basis. This means that, in most states, they’ll either be awarded based on the overall statewide vote or based on who wins in each congressional district. Democrats award all of their delegates (aside from superdelegates) proportionally.

Which candidates are participating?
On the Republican side, the five remaining candidates participating in Super Tuesday are businessman Donald Trump, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, Ohio Gov. John Kasich and retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson.

On the Democratic side, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will face off against Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders.

What do the polls say about Super Tuesday?
While the polling varies by state, Trump and Clinton both look to be leading in a number of states across the map. For Republicans, Trump looks to be leading in Virginia, Georgia, Oklahoma and Vermont, among others. As for Texas, Cruz leads in some polls while Trump leads in others, so it could be a very close race.

On the Democratic side, Clinton leads in most states that will vote on Super Tuesday: she is up by double digits in Texas, Virginia, Georgia, Arkansas and Alabama, according to recent polling. Sanders leads big in his home state of Vermont; he’s close or slightly ahead of Clinton in Massachusetts and Oklahoma.

What does this mean for the candidates?
A strong Super Tuesday performance–especially in Texas–is absolutely critical for Ted Cruz, who has founded his campaign on the support of conservatives and evangelicals. If Cruz can’t win in Texas, it will cast serious doubt on his viability. The senator has endorsements from several other Texas Republicans, including Gov. Greg Abbott, former Gov. Rick Perry and Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick. Cruz also has an army of about 27,000 volunteers in the state.

John Kasich’s campaign has opened offices in some Super Tuesday states, such as Georgia, Virginia and Mississippi, with the primary goal of simply enduring March 1 to make it through to the Michigan primary on March 8. “We’re planting a big flag in Michigan,” Kasich said at a February 19 town hall. In the meantime, his campaign is trying to build up high-pressure expectations for Rubio: “Failure by Senator Rubio to exit the SEC primary without a big delegate lead will spell the effective end of Senator Rubio’s campaign,” his campaign wrote in a memo this week.

On the Democratic side, Super Tuesday could be the day where Clinton is able to cement a large delegate lead over Sanders. Because of her strong support among superdelegates, she’s currently far ahead–but if she wins most of the states that vote on Super Tuesday, she could increase that lead to a point where it would be difficult for Sanders to catch up. If Sanders is able to pull a stronger-than-expected showing, however, that would be a sign the Democratic primary could continue throughout the spring.

Are there any advantages for the candidates?
Once the race moves beyond the first four traditional early states (Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina and Nevada), the race becomes much more nationalized: when a candidate can’t be on the ground in each state to put in significant face time, voters are more likely to base their opinions on what they’re seeing in the headlines and on the airwaves.

A round of major primaries taking place all at once should work to the benefit of a candidate like Trump, who knows how to win over crowds at big, boisterous rallies. His preference for large-scale campaign events will make it easier for him to reach as many Super Tuesday voters as possible.

Clinton, too, has the advantage as the race enters this phase: unlike Sanders, who has acknowledged he is still introducing himself to voters, Clinton has near-universal name ID across the country. She’s also on the air with ads in far more states than Sanders is.

What’s the biggest prize?
Texas is by far the biggest delegate prize on the map, with 155 Republican delegates and 252 total Democratic delegates at stake. That’s why candidates on both sides have spent time there and invested significant resources into the state.

But there are a handful of other states with significant delegate totals that candidates are targeting as well: think Alabama (50 Republican delegates; 60 Democratic delegates), Georgia (76 Republican delegates; 116 Democratic delegates), Tennessee (58 Republican delegates; 76 Democratic delegates) and Virginia (49 Republican delegates; 110 Democratic delegates).

Will this Super Tuesday be the end of the road for anyone?
In the past, Super Tuesday has been known to be decisive. Mitt Romney essentially secured the Republican nomination after his Super Tuesday wins in 2012. This year, the result will not be as clear cut. Because many of the states on 1 March allot delegates proportionally, look for some candidates like Marco Rubio and John Kasich to wait until 15 March when large winner-take-all states such as Florida and Ohio vote. That said, the campaign of retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson has privately said it is likely to end his run on Super Tuesday. He has underperformed in the first four Republican contests and many insiders have wondered why he has not called it quits already.

On the Democratic side, Mr Sanders – once thought of as a protest candidate to advance the issue of income inequity – is likely to revert to that status and stay in the race even if Mrs Clinton wins big.

What’s next (for the candidates and election 2016)?
For the candidates, Super Tuesday could be a day that makes or breaks campaigns–and if one candidate has a particularly poor showing, there’s a chance the field could narrow in the days that follow.

After Super Tuesday, the race spreads out across the map to a handful of states at a time. Several others vote this Saturday: Kansas and Louisiana have contests for both parties, Kentucky and Maine hold Republican caucuses, and Nebraska holds its Democratic caucuses. Michigan and Mississippi hold primaries and Hawaii and Idaho caucus on March 8. The next big primaries political observers will be keeping a close eye on are Florida and Ohio on March 15, where Marco Rubio and John Kasich could struggle to win their respective home states.
