I don't remember ever seeing Ashanti and Victor showering. Does Big Brother show them in the showers at all? I mean,

[s]Lawyer, lawyer! Ogbologbo! What do you need their shower hour for. Are you not satisfied wt Ndi? .[/s]
A lot of viewers have actually been complaining about this and neither have I seen this either. But like you rightly put it, may be
if they are not eligible to win the money there is no reason why they should go naked for the viewers pleasure.

lawyerchap:

Ashanti also refuses to join in the household chores.
This is actually intentional. Biggy has been intimating them what to do in order to bring out the other sides of the real hm's. Remember the other day, Ashanti dropped her wet towel on Tati's bed and that nearly caused problem. They are just acting to the script. Distrators. That is what they are!

You have the audacity, effrontry, impudence, sagacity and **gasping for breath*** to question the power of the olori oko himself. Who dash you?. This is just to make the topic lively as there is nothing much going on in BBA house presently. The visits have reduced drastically here as well. its a pity this is happening to Ofumama, I suspects that the drinks where laced with something, because I am sure she wouldn't have acted that way.

Vodka: booze, hard drink, hard liquor, strong drink. Is one of the world's most popular distilled beverages. It is a clear liquid containing water, ethanol purified by distillation from a fermented substance such as potatoes, grain or molasses, and an insignificant amount of other substances: impurities and possibly flavorings. Vodka consumed in sufficient amounts, as any alcoholic beverage, can cause dehydration, digestive irritation and other symptoms associated with a hangover because these are inherent properties of ethanol, even if to a lesser degree than the methanol, fusel oils, and other alcohols which are absent in pure vodka.

A statement From Biggie

In the past few days, M-Net has received varied comments and queries about the events of Saturday October 27 on Big Brother Africa II. There have been opposing views and differing opinions from the show's audiences.

In answer to viewer queries regarding the events on Saturday October 27, M-Net would like to advise the following - M-Net is concerned about the rate of alcohol consumption in the Big Brother Africa House so going forward, there will be a reduction in the amount of alcohol sent into the House. In addition, Big Brother has addressed the issue of irresponsible drinking with all the Housemates individually.

However, none of the Housemates has made any complaint regarding any incident that occurred on Saturday. Furthermore none of the Housemates broken any of the House rules by becoming intoxicated. Big Brother Africa is a 24-hour, daily reality show on an age restricted channel and parental control is provided. Furthermore the choice to view is an individual one. Big Brother is based on showing the Housemates' actions whilst in the House for audiences who wish to make informed voting decisions based on Housemate behaviour.

Finally M-Net hopes that fans of the show will continue to use this website to discuss opinions, catch up with the show and interact with one another.

Good Riddance to bad rubbish,
Politics / Finally, Speaker Patricia Etteh Steps Aside by spora(m): 3:27pm On Oct 30, 2007
http://www.thenewsng.com/modules/zmagazine/article.php?articleid=20069

Patricia Etteh, the embattled speaker of the House of Representatives, may be on her way out of office, in disgrace. This afternoon, after much public pressure and the relentless opposition by members, she finally stepped down from the exalted seat of speaker of Nigeria’s lower chamber. Her action finally paved way for the deliberation of the house on the report of the Idoko panel that probed the N628 million renovation contract scandal.

But the drama that followed her stepping down from her seat, may well be a pointer to the fact that the woman may have lost her seat as speaker. Members overwhelmingly endorsed the nomination of a representative from Benue State, Mr. Tenrgu Tsegba, the favourite of the combative opposition, as the temporary speaker to preside over the discussions on the Idoko report. Etteh’s candidate, West Idahosa had few members in his support.

Tsegba scored 255 votes while Idahosa got only 33 votes. The winner was making his inaugural speech as at the time of filing this report.

Earlier today, the president of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Abdulkadir Omar, led members and pro-democracy activists to storm the House of Representatives to protest the continued stay of Olubunmi Etteh, as the Speaker.

Thousands of labour activists wearing T-shirts and carrying placards with inscriptions calling on Madam Speaker to resign, stormed the premises of the National Assembly in several mass transit buses, singing and chanting anti-Etteh slogans.

Some of the inscriptions on the placards read: Etteh Must Go; Haba, N628m for renovation; Madam Speaker, you are wicked; Etteh Go; Etteh Resign Now.

The protesting activists barricaded the gates leading to the House of Representatives and forced Madam Speaker and her entourage to enter her office through the entrance behind the complex.

P.M.News gathered that before the Speaker arrived the Assembly Complex, the PDP caucus in the House held a two-hour meeting with the national leadership of the party at the party’s secretariat where the issue of a speaker extempore, to preside over the deliberation of the Idoko Panel report, was discussed.

P.M.News gathered that a consensus to elect a speaker ex-tempore could not be reached at the meeting as the anti-Etteh group (Integrity) insisted that members of the House should be given the opportunity to elect a speaker ex-tempore on the floor of the House.

This was the same issue that led to a deadlock during a meeting between anti- and pro-Etteh groups called by the party leadership yesterday at the PDP secretariat.

Some members of the House were seen at the chambers waiting calmly for the Speaker to arrive for the business of the House to commence before voting started today.

It was observed that members of the opposition against Etteh were upbeat as they kept singing and backslapping one another in the chambers.

A member of the house who spoke with P.M.News on the development, Hon. Olaka Olaogu, pleaded with members to be patient for the speaker to arrive and convene the House.

He appealed to his colleagues to refuse to be provoked, saying the House would follow the best democratic practice in resolving the crisis facing the house.

“Everything that will be done today will be by votes of members. We should avoid rowdiness,” he stated. Meanwhile, while labour activists continued their protest at the gates of the assembly complex, the atmosphere inside the house was calm as legislators await the arrival of Madam Speaker to convene the House.

Although the Speaker had last week agreed to step aside for a chairman pro-tempore to preside over discussion on the report, there were allegations that the PDP might ‘guide’ its lawmakers to appoint a Speaker pro-tempore.

A statement by the chairman of the House Committee on Information, Mr. Dino Melaye, claimed that Etteh’s supporters had consented that a Speaker pro-tempore be ‘appointed.’

Melaye told journalists after a meeting the PDP had with Etteh’s supporters and the Integrity Group (IG) yesterday, that the two camps were directed to present one name each for the post. “Yes, it is true that we have all agreed to that,” he said.

However, the Leader of the IG, Mr. Farouk Lawan, said he was not aware of any such agreement.

“Mock election? I am not aware of that, and I hope people are not trying to make a mockery of our democracy. We must follow our rules and the party is aware of that,” he said.

The PDP chieftains at the meeting included the National chairman (South), Chief Bode George; the National Vice-Chairman (South-West), Chief Yinka Omilani; and the National Publicity Secretary, Chief Imeh Udom.

The PDP was to hold another parley with its lawmakers in the House yesterday but it was called off following what a source called poor attendance.

At least 100 lawmakers were said to have arrived at the party’s secretariat and waited till 4 p.m. for the meeting which was scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.

The legislators protested when the Leader of the House, Mr. Tunde Akogun, informed them that the meeting had been shifted till 9 a.m. today, alleging that the PDP was plotting to force members of the House to elect Speaker pro-tempore outside their chamber.

Wait o! Was that Ndi 'reporting' or Lawyerchap? Honestly, I almost got confused and had to scroll up to be sure I am not making a mistake. Whoever say, anointing no dey flow. This is really Elijah and Elisah episode in reality. Keep it up Lawyerbabe Ndi. What a positive aftermath of a trip to LawyerPentHouse!

I think Biggy was being myopic to have sold the dummy of two different houses to the hms. He should expect innocent questions from the hms in an attempt to compare the lifestyle at the other house to theirs. He has no doubt put the moles in big trouble and there is no way out for them.

Biggy himself, if information at my disposal is anything to go by, is admitting failure already. Methinks he supposed to have done his homework by preparing the moles for situation of this nature rather than allowing the little breeze to open the obodo fowl yansh . Anyway, that is why we are all human!

Having said that, I could see that the intention of introducing the moles is already yielding fruits. Positive fruits. At least it has more or less created the intended distration, judging from what is presently going on in the house. Tati is now the one at the mercy of Richy, no thanks to the hawk, in the person of Asanti, in the house. Victor, on his own, tried as he may have, has not be able to get the attention of homegal. Even with his 'attractive and tempting' biceps. In addition to this, the remaining days, no doubt, would have been a hell for Ofune as loneliness would have become her companion as Richiana who have loved to savour their remaining days in the house together. And that would have been at the expense of Ofune.

Finally, I wish to submit that any of the three remaining hms, sentiments apart, deserves the prize. No doubt. They have played the game as much as the can. Irrespective of their shortcomings, the fact that they are still in the house today is a function of their inputs. Come to think of it, what kind of a boring house would we have had without the crazy and entertaining Richiana? What would it have been without the home girl performing the role of a mother, advisor and confidant when it matters most. I think they deserve it and I give it to them.

Before going into the House, Ashanti, one of the moles, talked about having the advantage of being fresh and sharp.

This might have seemed like an advantage but the reality couldn't be further from the truth. The Housemates, who have been there for the past 86 days, may be weary but they are as hard as nails and as sharp as hawks.

Anyone who could be a threat to victory is rapidly sized up. Any weaknesses are pin-pointed and then ruthlessly exploited.

Prize Fighters
During the gym session this morning the two new "˜Housemates' looked sprightly but soft whilst the real housemates eyed them coolly but confidently. It was the difference between a gym-bunny with big biceps who enjoys looking at himself in the mirror, and a hardened prize fighter who's used to being beaten upon.

Richard has spent the whole morning probing and pushing the moles. "Why did you guys get bread?' he asked. "Are you soft, you guys had a washing machine? "

Victor tried to bluff his way out of the situation but Richard was not intimidated.

This is really a sad end to a beautiful story!

Biggie, having realised the harm already done was trying to exonerate himself by claiming he warned them to sip and not to guzzle. Or was it that they couldn't decipher what it meant to drink responsibly? he asked.

He even asked, according to biggie site, whether they would like to speak to a psychologist. A gesture they all declined, saying they were okay. Imagine! A case of medicine after death? My challenge is, I really don't think the  hms are aware of the extent they went on that blue Saturday, except perhaps Richard. This is one action omg will surely regret,  Poor girl!

I didn't watch the "uncut" O 'n' R episode but I was mad when a friend phoned to castigate me, a member of OSP (Offuneka Solidary Party (OSP) is jocularly used by my friends to describe us here on Nairaland for our avowed and unalloyed commitment to the Ofune-must-win project). It was really a let-down for I was like (and I always made them to understand) Ofune can't indulge in any of those s^&^! How wrong I was!

So, it was not difficult for me to conclude that Liverpool-Arsenal match would be my priority on Sunday evening. As a Blue, I couldn't imagine anybody telling me of the match as whichever way it goes is a pain in my body. So, I practically has to be 'there' and pray for draw.

But, you know how it is with addiction: the more you wish to stop, the more you long for it. I wouldn't want to miss the exit of the remaining half of Codeen either. No! and (God forbids) what if it turned out to be any of the other two?, I asked myself.

This decision made me to join a friend who has a subscription for HiTV as well as DsTV. At least, I am sure I can have my cake (watch L-A match) and eat it (watch the eviction). But because everybody was inclined to L-A match, I only had the benefit of watching just the graphical progress of the eviction show as the volume was at the lowest level.

The only thing I was able to pick yesterday was Maureen reaction when she was shown her kissing escapades with Code. There is no doubt that some of the HMs will regret some of their actions with the benefit of hindsight. Therefore I am of the belief that however tried we may, to justify the actions and inactions of omg, this is definitely one phase of her life that will shape her future. Some positively, some negative. This is considering the part of the world we belong to. My prayer is that the positive ones will outnumber the negatives.

lawyerchap:

Don't look for that footage on this week's Uncut Show. It will most likely be missing, because Biggie knows all you PVR owners will be ready to record and he could get hit with the Mother of all Lawsuits. If i was homegirl's folks, i would sue Biggie blind.

LC, I beg to disagree with you. BBA/Mnet/MTN will never go into any of this stuff with the HMs without an undertaking of confidentiality knowing fully well that they would have access to privileged, sensitive and confidentiality information and/or records. It may also include the phase that whatever happened in the course of their stay in the BBH CAN NEVER BE USED AGAINST BBA. Not now! Not in future! I stand to be corrected anyway 'because I no lawyer

Politics / At Last, M A S S O B Leader, Uwazuruike Granted Bail by spora(m): 3:38pm On Oct 26, 2007
The embattled leader of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State Of Biafra (MASSOB), Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, was this (26 Oct, 2007) morning granted a three-month bail by a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja.

The MASSOB leader had been denied bail on more than three occasions by the court due to his inability to fulfil the conditions specified by the presiding judge, Justice Binta Murtala Nyako.

While granting Uwazuruike temporary bail this morning, Justice Nyako observed that Uwazuruike had already appealed against her decision to deny him bail and averred that she cannot be seen to grant Uwazuruike bail since he is on appeal.

She, however, maintained that she cannot stop Uwazurike’s mother from resting in peace.

Reading from the affidavit in support of Uwazuruike’s bail application where the MASSOB leader stated that his dead mother cannot be buried without his presence, since he is the only surviving son, she granted him a conditional bail of three months with effect from today, to enable him perform all rites required of him in his mother’s burial.

Uwazuruike is to be in the custody of two serving senators, Uche Chukwumerije and Ikechukwu Obiora, and two traditional rulers, Eze Christian Uchechukwu Nwachukwu (Eze Ndigbo Lagos) and Eze Nwosu Ibe (Eze Ndigbo of Abuja).

The MASSOB leader is also expected to report to the nearest police station as well as ensure peace and order during the three-month period.

Please this is a secret and I want you to keep it so. I have a mission critical assignment. So I dont think I can double-date for now. For about two weeks now, I have been dreaming so much about Ofuneka. I think I am falling in love with that girl  wink In fact I have been having a great conviction that she is the right girl for me. I dont want any distraction now because I will be a millionaire in a matter of weeks. So please dont put sand for my garri, tori Oloun. I beg you in Jesus Name.

So, let me anounce it here that I am not interested in any girl for now. Not even you!. Not even Modups!!. Not even Ndi. sorry LC. Not even Jjuummaaii. Not even uche. No even who else. Ofunemama is the babe men.

What name can we adopt self?. spofuneka? No! . ofuspora? Ofuspora? Ofuspora?. I think I prefer that.

Then our company can be ofuspora and Sons and Daughters
