Because of CIC I felt no need to get a job since visa would soon come...had i known...would have just gotten a job or would have just gotten busy. ...now I don't no what to do...applied since April 27...Pls house my eligibility is saying "application in progress. ..we'll send you a message when we start reviewing your eligibility.
Pls does that mean they've not started reviewing my eligibility...my background check is saying....application in progress....biometric saying completed....all am waiting for is medical mail .

So as a researcher concerned
CALASTU is basically online apps being handled in Nigeria and they are still handling March and April

HANSTU are paper apps and they are rounding up may applicant's.

Hmmmmmm

So I can like to draw up a conclusion from my findings that online apps takes longer basically.


Like I said am just a researcher.

It appears the CALASTU applications are taking longer than the waiting periods. Pls, indicate if you have CALASTU application tracking code and have heard from IRCC feb/march/april/june applications (Online).

You can get this codes through the messages sent by vfs after biometrics.

I sent an E-mail to IRCC concerning my application earlier today.. the mail was an indirect reminder to them..
they just replied now, saying that they'll attend to my application shortly..
I'm just hoping it will be positive

I submitted the following docs to RBC

2 Identification (coloured copies of my ntl. passport and National ID), the ID has to be notarized or certified by a notary public or a lawyer respectively.

And a completed account opening form

you can open a bank account as a non-resident, but you will not be able to transfer funds from the account until you arrive in Canada and activate it.

However, funds can be transferred into the account from your home country. Check out Bank of Montreal and Royal Bank of Canada, I did mine with RBC, hope this helps.

not 100% compulsory... some have gotten their trv without it.... if u dont submit it and the VO deems it necessary, he will request for it. So no worries

please are u say if ur prog is a 1Year course, total tuition and living expenses must be present in the SOA or fixed deposit tendered? what if the money is not totally available but duly explain to the v.o that the sponsor would be transferring it monthly to the student from his salary account

Other means miscellaneous funds and it's not compulsory to fill unless it is also written on your admission letter or you explictly have divided your funds in all aspect and want to state it.
The part with the esterisk (*) on the form is compulsory and must be filled. The main thing is that the funds available for your stay is proportionate to the funds available in a SOA or is equivalent to proof of funds transferred to canada or any other financial means.

I don't buy the idea of a company sponsoring you.As you are an employee of a company not own by you father/mother/parents/wife/hubby, a VO sees such money in a company account for the running their businesses/paying of staffs and other needs of the company and not for your education. A company is a profit making business not spending their profits/funds in sponsoring a staff for long term programs. seminars, conferences can be sponsored by an employer but not for 1/2yrs study except on legalized funded scholarship programs.

Whichever way. If he can transfer the total cost of study to you, then fine. If he can't, he can choose to be transferring it to you monthly provided you will have a substantial amount to pay the school fees when you're submitting your TRV app. You don't make your app cumbersome and look desperate by so much affidavit this, affidavit that.... swearing affidavit left and right. Just make it simple and that's all.

Oga, one of the best way to show his commitment to you is to transfer the money to you. By that, you leave the V.O with little or none to bother as to why he wants to sponsor you.

Please let him swear an affidavit of sponsorship and I would have advice he also do an affidavit of fact that no one is dependent on him but he has children. well all he need to do in my own opinion is to write a sponsorship letter that make sense and you need to tell him to explain the reason why he will want to sponsor you for two years and he should also explain in the letter how his family will survive without any problem. please use his SOA that has him as the only signatory.

Sure!! Let him explain it inside the L.O.E so that it will justify the balance inside your account and they won't see it as lodgement.
