Its a sad one as break out American rapper, Pop Smoke has been confirmed dead, TMZ Reports revealed he was shot at his home in Hollywood Hills.

“The rapper was at his home in the Hollywood Hills at around 4:30 AM when 2 men wearing hoodies and masks broke into his house… this according to law enforcement sources. We’re told the 2 men fired multiple shots, striking and critically wounding Pop Smoke. The men were seen fleeing on foot,” the report reads.

A concerned mother has revealed Nairamarley’s bad influence on her 15-year old daughter.

The mother identified as “Adebiyi Gabriel Olajide-Mackson” took to Facebook to narrate her horrible experience.

According to her, her daughter and 30 other girls who claimed to be part of the “Marlins” group no longer wear pants.

She wrote;

I am just coming from my daughters school right now. Their principal called me around 9am this morning to report to school over an emergency. Controversial Ghanaian celebrity, Afia Schwarzenegger has questioned Davido’s state of mind.
This is coming several days after Davido had revealed his wristwatch worth $30,000 was stolen at a show in Ghana.

Afia Schwarzenegger revealed she couldn’t fathom how Davido could lose such an expensive watch in Ghana and not Lagos, Nigeria.



She thereafter questioned the authenticity of Davido’s claims on ‘The Breakfast Show’ on Schwar TV.

In her words;



“Was that insurance fraud, publicity stunt or Nigerians cannot fathom the idea that Ghana is shining? Which one is that Davido? I am asking for Ghanaians ooo.

Muslim Rights Concern, MURIC has declared Boxing Day and New Year holidays in the country as holidays for Christians only.

MURIC made this known after an emergency meeting where it deliberated on the latest allegation of persecution by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).

According to MURIC, Christians enjoy more holidays in Nigeria than Muslims with the former having 5 and the latter only 3.

MURIC’s stand was contained in a press statement to DAILY POST on Friday, signed by its director, Professor Ishaq Akintola.

The statement reads partly;



“CAN claims it is being persecuted but fails to substantiate its allegation in concrete terms. However, the last holiday of Wednesday, 1st January, 2020 which is an annual event has exposed CAN. Nigerian Christians enjoy the New Year holiday on the 1st of January every year even without asking for it because that was the arrangement made by the British colonial master. But CAN still claims ‘persecution’ even though it is placed at an advantaged position.

“Nigerian Christians have 1st January to enjoy their first day of the year. Nobody can deny that this happened two days ago. But when the Muslims’ first day of the year comes (1st Muharram), there will be no holiday. When will CAN put itself in the Muslims’ shoes? Or rather when, indeed, will the Nigerian government give the Muslims what the colonial master denied them but gave the Christians? When will the Muslims get justice in this country? Here is persecution of Muslims that even CAN cannot deny. It happened just two days ago and we all saw it? Or is the granting of holiday for a Christian occasion and the denial of same to Muslims another form of persecution of CAN?

“Christians have five out of the eight holidays enjoyed by Nigerians. Muslims have three only. Yet CAN claims persecution. Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year Day, Easter Monday and Good Friday are all for Christians. We dare CAN to deny it. Are these not concrete priviledges enjoyed by Christians? Are the five holidays we mention here mere fallacies? Muslims only have three, namely, Id al-Kabiir, Id al-Fitr and Maulud an-Nabiyy. Is there any mathematical inexactitude in our calculation? Should CAN be complaining at all with this kind of setting?

The People’s Democratic Party, PDP has all but condemned President Muhammadu Buhari’s New Year Letter to Nigerians.

The opposition party via it’s official Twitter handle, @OfficialPDPNig, labelled the letter as “completely uninspiring, tasteless, repetitive and vacuous.”

Parts oof the long thread of tweets read;

“President @MBuhari should withdraw his unnecessary remark in his new year message about “standing down” in 2023, as he and his party, the @OfficialAPCNg, would have no other option than to exit office at the end of this tenure.


“The party described President @MBuhari’s new year message as completely uninspiring, tasteless, repetitive, vacuous and does not galvanize any form of hope for a despairing nation like ours,” the party stated.The party explained that as stipulated in the 1999 Constitution as amended, Buhari must surrender power on May 29, 2023 when his second term ends.

“@OfficialPDPNig holds, in total submission to the letter and spirit of the 1999 Constitution (as amended), that it is not an issue of “standing down” or not being “available” for future election, but a decided and inevitable position as contained in our constitution that he must quit office after two terms which will end in 2023.

“Mr. President, therefore, does not have any other choice before the law.

“Whether President @MBuhari likes it or not, he and his @OfficialAPCNg will exit the arena at the end of this tenure. History is replete with lessons from those who sought to stretch our nation beyond her limits,”

African Giant, Burna Boy has had his song, “Collateral Damage” picked among Jay Z’s Top 40 favorite songs of 2019.
The 40-track playlist was released on TIDAL Thursday (Dec. 19), and it ranges from rap to hip-hop.

The playlist features songs from Solange, wife, Beyonce, Drake, Young Thug, Travis Scott, J.Cole and many others.



Unexpectedly but not surprising, Burna Boy’s “Collateral Damage” off his African Giant album made the list.

The song made was number 16 on the list after Dababy’s Suge and just before Koffee’s hit single “Toast”.

Google’s 2019 “Year In Search” list has been released and words like Nairamarley and Wizkid’s “Joro” took top spots.

The list which features the most searched terms in Nigeria for 2019 contains a wide range of searches from actors, to singers and music.

According to Google’s Communications Officer, Mr Taiwo Kola-Ogunlade, ASUU strike was top of the pile followed by `AFCON 2019’, ‘Naira Marley’ and the ‘Women’s World Cup 2019’.





“This year’s top trending news search is `ASUU Strike’, which took the highest place over other trending news topics like ‘AFCON 2019’, and the ‘Women’s World Cup 2019’.“
