Xhaka is the reason for the terrible midfield under Emery, he’s the one responsible for Guendouzi’s subpar performance, he’s to blame for the slow growth of the young midfielders, he’s to blame for 3-4-3 that was switched to by Arteta due to lack of an AM. If u can’t impregnate ur wife it’s Xhaka’s fault.

Our midfield currently cannot contain a third player, because it's so porous that we have to pack a double pivot tight to a back 3 simply to create the impression of defensive solidity.

Look what happened when we tried Xhaka-Ceballos in front of a back 4 against an already-relegated Watford.

Personally i feel xhaka/cellabos combination is very balance. flexiblity & steel with the help of willams & saka drifting into the middle of the park to make up numbers when we are not on the ball it will be like a 5-4-1 and as for creativity saka & willams will create the chances needed we also have cellabos too. there is tierney & bellerin who would weep those killer croses. most of our goals comes from the flank

I think 3-4-3 is still the best if we want Auba and Pepe to score more goals this season. With 4 at the back, they will be playing as a winger... a bit far from the opponent box. With 3 at the back,they automatically become the WFs.

the only reason xhaka is 'so good' is because of the extra CB in the defence, remove that extra man and watch xhaka getting exposed

Xhaka is not a DM and he never was, when wenger and emery used him in that role, we all saw how open our midfield was. That is the main reason arteta is going all out for partey, with partey we can switch from 3-4-3 to a more advanced 4-3-3.

Signing a world class DM like partey for £45million is an opportunity we shouldn't miss if we are to continue our rebuilding process because signing a young prospect DM might either take us forward or backward, we tried it with torriera and it failed so we should go all out to get partey or else it will be bye bye top 4 for another 3 years

I think if Partey joins, then we would switch back to the 4 3 3 formation thus giving more room for the Left backs to operate upfront supporting the attack line

But truth be said, Auba has limitations. He can score but he is not a threat when there is no space for him to hit a goal. He doesn't dribble, he is not aggressive and doesn't make good use of his pace. For me, he is just an average player but a good striker. Will he make the first eleven in teams like Mancity, Barcelona, Madrid, PSG, Liverpool or Bayern? Definitely No!. These teams play aggressive football and he won't fit in.

I'm not saying they won't understand but we are at a risk of losing either of them when offers start coming in because the whole world has seen they are both fantastic keepers.

Oh wow! I think I read , was it Roland or Iamonyindamola that said Nelson (maybe from their view) and since the official MOTM is Niles. Then that's great. It means both of them gave at least a 7 rating performance. Niles really have improved very well, starting from the fa cup s/f wen it was evident. Locking down salah(as you opined) is really a great feat, and he's consistently growing in that wing back position of his and making it his own. If he continues like this, I don't mind us keeping him.

I want to hear your views, would you still want him sold especially as he's locking down that wingback role excellently?

Actually Mitland-Niles was the man of the match. He had the left side of defence/midfield on lockdown and made Sallah silent all game. Ibe never seen Salah that silent in a game, I think camera only focused on Salah twice in the game ; one when he was trying to push attack and the other time when the penalties were being played.
