That being the case, Ceballos and Xhaka can play the role. So by tying down Ceballos to a loan deal, Aouar may be a wild wish.

Obviously that AM role would be left for Willian and/or Ozil.

Aouar is not a traditional no 10, he is primarily a central midfielder who can play left midifield. He thrives by making runs from deep like the one me made against City to set up Dembele. His stats also buttresses this as he does not contribute a lot of assists.

Last season in Ligue 1 he made 25 appearances, guess how many assists he had? 4 with 3 goals. His most productive season was 2 seasons ago when he made 37 appearances, scored 7 with 8 assists. If you are thinking he is your Ozil type of AM then I am sorry to burst your bubble, that's not who he is. He is similar to Ceballos because they both enjoy playing from deep with the freedom to roam around that central area of the midfield and his favorite area to drift is the left.

I have never been so much against Xhaka. My stand has always been that he stays in the first team (alongside Guen) until we get a decent DM.

I for one hardly condemn players not to talk of Arsenal players.

Torriera is not the mobile DM that Arteta likes. Besides Arteta's DM must be able to build from the back and cover the RB when the team is attacking.

Torriera on the other hand is just a tackler, destroyer type of DM and so doesn't fit into Arteta's arrangement.

The purchases

So, as we know, we have purchased four players.  A number of others are being discussed, but for the moment let us work with these four…

Willian: Winger — from Chelsea, free

Pablo Marí: Defender — from Flamengo, £14m

Cédric Soares, Defender — from Southampton; free

Gabriel Magalhães; Defender — from Lille £27m

All four have foreign status, meaning that they cannot be counted in our home grown list – which we shall come to in just a moment.

We could do away with Socrates and Mustafi as we have enough defenders now.

Ozil and Guendouzi who are outcast should be replaced, if not keep.

Every other player less than 2years left in their contracts can leave if they command a good fee but must also be replaced.

Please I need directions to limit my suffering.
