Eruditor: The etc is because he let players go and hopes to replace them. Navas, Sagna, Clichy, Zaba. So he needs a RWB, RB, LB to replace them. He might get 1 more CB. These are the positions that City were seriously wanting in even before he arrived. If he gets them, he would win the league and one other domestic trophy. Quote me. I yaff quoted you oga. Pep needs a GK, RB, LB, CB, BB, FB, AB, SB, etcB. Hope he does the treble next season. Hope you don't come up with more excuses if he doesn't. Remember he is 'Pep'. |

Eruditor: How much was Paid for Buffon 18 years ago? He is 40 today and worth every penny of it. The fee for Ederson is not the issue. It is the market today and he is highly rated.
What I see people do here is conceal their fears that Pep is covering the loopholes in City - the same loopholes we told you guys existed last season that he could nothing about.
Anyways, Spy360, I made no predictions last time but I am here to make one now; if he signs the players he is trying to get - Mendy, Kyle Walker etc.
HE WOULD WIN THE LEAGUE. If Mourinho signs all the players he wants he will win the league. If Wenger signs all the players he wants he will win the league. If Poch signs all the players he wants he will win the league. If Klopp signs all the players he wants he will win the league. If Conte signs all the players he wants he will win the league. If Papa Ajasco ( sod09) signs all the players he wants he will win the league. |

This is against Wales
Joe Hart apologises after costing England in last-16 defeat against Iceland after howler Three Lions crashed out out Euro 2016 against Nordic minnows and Manchester City stopper admits they deserve flak
"I am gutted about how the summer went," Hart was quoted as saying by the BBC. "I would have loved to have saved the two shots that I should have saved [during Euro 2016] but they are gone. I am going to try and rectify that by being in a good place. Football moves quickly. You have to move on. You have got to keep fighting." If Hart is bad then Bravo is worse. I don't see how Ederson who costs so much is even better. But let us leave it still preseason cum next season. Just that by then your mouth would hae changed like APC. |

pazienza: I'd suggest you keep this discussion civil, cos trust me. you wouldn't enjoy the other side of me, if you keep up with this your vulgar approach.
1. Van gaal spent alot to win the FA cup, you say. Wenger spent nearly a decade between 2005-2014 to win his first FA cup post invincible era, you didn't say. How much did he spend in transfers during those era, and how much on monetary terms is a decade worth?
2. Wenger answered nobody. Wenger remains a failure. A lucky FA cup win after playing second division clubs along the way and a good final against Chelsea will not paper the cracks at Arsenal. Truth remains that Arsenal was dreadful over the course of the season, finished 5th in EPL, was dumped out of Europe in humiliating manner by Bayern. Other serious European clubs would have sacked Wenger since.
3. No one thought Chelsea was invincible. Chelsea lost games to United, Spurs, Liverpool, Crystal palace this season, stop behaving like Wenger did what couldn't be done.
4. No, I refuse to be fickle. Arsenal problem runs deeper than FA cup, and I wouldn't be hoodwinked into accepting mediocrity. Wenger needs to go, Arsenal needs a breathe of fresh ideas, a new beginning.
5. Ofcourse, Arsene would leave when he dies, seeing as what stands as standard for success in Arsenal is being reduced and forced down gullible Arsenal fans throats to accommodate Wenger mediocrity and the board greed on seasonal basis. Not long ago, Fourphy and FA cup was the standard for a good season. Now Only FA cup is good enough. Who knows what the new standard would be come next season. One thing is sure, it's not going to be mounting real challenge for the EPL trophy. Why should it be, when the fans are already satisfied with the 5th place trophy and are looking forward for a cycle of unending better season that never comes. From bottom to top 5. No we fans are not satisfied with FA cup, and I am sure no one at The Emirates is satisfied either. We are having to have won a trophy, better than going trophyless and also importantly having some bragging rights with our London neighbours who incidentally are the league champions. While the cup is not enough, it is still something. We have won it more than any other club in history, that thanks to Wenger- 7 cups. Next season we would as always aim for the title. 4. FA cup is no show of mediocrity. We had to beat the league champions to earn it. Let this sink in. Yes we know that we need a new beginning. But are we ready for it? Right now? Common sense demands that some structures need to be placed first. 3. Yes Chelsea were not invincible (only Arsenal has been- Arsene), but they won 30 games this season. They were huge favourites to do the double. We stopped them. Arsene stopped them. Isn't that remarkable? 2. Lucky FA cup win? Lol! So Man City fell among the class of second division clubs? I am doing my best to respect this discuss o. 1. I am not taking anything away from Van Gaal. But if you want to compare their individual feats, an Arsenal FA cup is worth more than United because United are a bigger club, they also have a bigger budget. Talking about the last decade, within same decade he consistently attended the KO stages of the UCL with minimal spending power and despite having to lose his top players year after year. Ask United, Chelsea, Spurs and Liverpool fans, they know what it means to miss CL. Within same decade he helped built the magnificient Emirates. Now let's see if you can calculate the monetary value. Final word: Wenger will leave someday. He has to because like you said there is a need for fresh ideas. The problem is that the Board is not ready. There are no realistic replacements for Wenger as at now. Tuchel got sacked at BVB for a reason. Allegri has 2years with Juve, same with Simeone with Atletico. Kroenke was at Wembley and was definitely impressed, that was why he invited Wenger for a chat on Monday only to squash Tuesday's meeting by announcing to the Board his final decision. Arsenal may not win the league next year, but we hope Wenger will prepare the grounds for a successful handover. |

@Spy360 I agree with your list of players who should stay. I think we should add Perez and Welbeck to the stay list.
As for the leave list, I'm still not sure about Walcott. May be it's because he has been here so long. Add Giroud Walcott for me personifies the mediocrity Arsenal has been accused of. Dude is not improving at all. Giroud for me makes more impact. |

Have you checked the missing List?! Perhaps he's there! For all the sticks he gets, I think he was more productive than the likes of Welbeck and Walcott despite having to sit on the bench. No one wants to say that he gave the assist for Ramsey's goal in the FA cup final. If only 5 players have to leave, I say for his 'head only' keep him. |

Personally I like simeone as a manager. .... bt the likelihood of him coming is less than 10% ...
Jardim is anoda good coach.... arsenal should take a look at him. The last and infact most foolish thing Arsenal board can do is to give any new coach same control Wenger has. You see that you are not a good decision maker. |

pazienza: And oh! Xhaka had a good match in the FA cup final, that kind of performance is exactly what the Dr prescribed from a man bought so costly as a major signing of the club, on a regular basis.
Do that regular, and I would become his number one fan. But wait! Dude still got his trademark yellow card. Guess you can't take the jungle out of a lion. @emboldened... Shows how objectivity is lacking in this comment. Totally absurd. If he plays badly and we lose, they complain. He plays well and wins the cup, they still whine. Subtract his fee from Kante's and see what's left. But he bossed the MVP in a cup final. Yet they complain. Some people are just so bleeping annoying. |

pazienza: United won the FA cup and finished 5th in the league, the result was Van gaal getting sacked for underperformance, Arsenal does the same this season, and peeps are already cuting Wenger some slack.
This club has a long way to go.
Still Wenger out for me. This is one of those silly comments that totally lack objectivity. United and Arsenal are not same. Van Gaal was sacked after spending £300m in transfers, in a season when Leicester won the league with less than 10% of that. No body is giving Wenger a pass mark. But the point is that he answered his critics, shoving their banners down their arses by winning a trophy against all odds . He defeated a Chelsea, everyone thought were invincible, and a manager everyone thought should be the example of all, using a make shift squad. Our FA triumph is a momentary satisfaction, enjoy it. Wenger will surely leave one day, and we hope for a better replacement. For now let the Board decide what's best for the club. We really need to step up. But for now enjoy while you can. |

Your team won, credit to you guys. But please always call a spade a spade. Roland17: I have to agree with you on this one, however, only when Ramsey is given the freedom to make his runs and movement without the ball or the responsibility of directing offense.
Ramsey has been terrific recently. His body movement has really impoved which allows him to escape tight corners, sometimes I think he is Ozil. Also he is good at off the ball runs, and because he is not flamboyant he is difficult to track. |

Anyway I was agreeing with Greatihex post about the referee.
How can Ramsey not be interfering with play when he runs toward the ball as if to shoot, causing Courtois to hesitate on what would have been a straightforward pick-up for him. Not to mention it was a blatant handball. Ramsey is literally about to shoot when Alexis shouts him to leave it. I swear that referee vex me die.
It wasn't offside because it was assumed Sanchez didn't give a pass, since he kept chasing the ball. Handball, yes. But then shit happens. Costa should have been sent off for kicking Holding, una nor go see that one. |
