@Kokaneprodigy
Every thing said on that article, as far as I am concerned is true. In fact I have once on this board compared the effectiveness of Ozil and Alexis. Stating him to be more effective (then) despite a poor demeanor.
But on that night at Etihad, tat particular night (at Goodison too), Ozil was poor. There are times when you need to really come to the party.
A 10sec clip of Ozil walking lethargically did not tell the entire story, Ozil was walking almost the entire game as opponents went past him. |

Rilwayne001: Who else thinks Arsenal should go for Payet? We need a skillful player like him in the midfield. It's saying Ozil to bleep off. A statement of intent. He can replace either Ozil or Cazorla. But I doubt if Wenger will sign a 29yo. |

So ki ni big deal?
Ozil is a ghost in big games. Deal with it. If you are a Barca fan, then you are indirectly fooling yourself. |

Fkhalifa: amsey, ox and elnenny would have been their usual targets to pour all blames on.
The truth I repeat is that we need a Simeone like as a manager, sm1 to instill steel and a do or die attitude into our boys..
I Insist not only ozil, but iwobi, walcoot, giroud and sometimes ox are too Ladylike, they have zero steel, only Sanchez was willing to burn energy and die there, special shootout to welbeck and Campbell for they give their all...
wish we had a Sissoko, mane and kante, those and Sanchez would bully any defense.. but the boss likes soft handsome players, and now any team who applies pressure and a bit kicking, wins so easily and bullies our players like kids.. so irritating imagining our manager is the most experienced of them all.
Unless we address this issue, expect game like this at liverpool, chelsea, spurs, stoke and southampton..the rest are very winnable for our" girls". Don't worry. After we beat Crystal Palace 3-0 on 26th, everything comes to normal and the whinings seize. Welbeck returns in Jan like a new signing. Per and Cazorla too. |

kokaneprodigy: And what's d moral justification behind benching Lucas despite his performance against Basel.
Cc Spy360 There is absolutely no reason why AW should leave Lucas on the bench after is hattrick against Basel. Absolutely no reason. In both matches, we needed fresh legs. That was a right time to use Lucas. So much for 20years in EPL but still acting naive. |

kokaneprodigy: U didn't complain when we won games without him tackling, so u shouldn't say we lost yesterday cos of Ozil that's my point u ain't getting. The games we won, were they due to Ozil winning tackles? When u answer this question perhaps u'll understand my line of argument. Cos I'm still trying to find how yesterday's defeat was Ozil's fault. Like I said, there are times when the team gets under pressure, then they need their stars to step up the gear. If we are dominating that's different. But the winning mentality comes when the team is not playing well. You don't get paid £300k for strolling when you team is down. If you are asking for that amount, then you got to step up in big games. Ozil for one disappears when he sees big opponents. I am not saying he is not good, my point is that he needs to add that steel and aggression to his game to be a real star. |

kokaneprodigy: Ozil has never been a player that fights for balls, he's a player that waits for the ball and does his best with it. We've never rated him based on his fights for balls even in games he performed well in, hence that won't suffice now. That's my point. Even Messi switched off immediately his DMs were outplayed by City in the UCL second leg. Everybody has a role and should stick by it, Coq wasn't disciplined last night and against Everton. ffs what's all those nonsense dribbles he was attempting at the front of the box. I think Wenger is telling that guy some new things lately, cos it's not a coincidence we lost two games in a row in exact same fashion. I understand all these. My question is why shouldn't he? At a time your team is under pressure, your MF are all over the place, as a leader you should lead the press. Sanchez was doing it all first half, beckoning on Ozil and Walcott to help. He got discouraged. You could spot him bending down wondering, what blip is Oz. Like it or not, Ozil's value plummeted last night. |

kokaneprodigy: Scummies won't let me rest after staying up late just to c that wretched old man get me devastated. FFS on whose instructions was Coq playing box to box? (Wenger's of cos) d fcking French dude was pulling a Ramsey all night, left the responsibility of shielding the defence to Xhaka leaving us exposed, And yes! Ozil was missing but came to life after the introduction of Elneny. Ozil has never been a player rated on his tackling ability I wonder y y'all are calling for his head in a game we were chasing the ball for almost 90mins! This was someone that never got decent service from the DMs prior to the introduction of Elneny a ripple effect that went on to affect Sanchez. You guys should cut him some slack.
Wenger is just nepotistic and senile, Lucas scored a hat-trick away at Basel while helping us top the table but got benched afterwards while we keep seeing Giroud play so he can find a way to squeeze him into the starting eleven. I'm fcking sure if Giroud had that kinda performance Lucas pulled at Basel he would automatically make the starting 11 in the next game.
The wretched old man should just get the fck out at the end of season. Guy Ozil was too passive. There were occasions when he got the ball and was robbed off it before he turned. My biggest anger was why Wenger didn't sub him to pass a message. Man, there are times when you should fight. Last night was one of them. |

solomonbrown64: ......... Sometimes I wonder why I even get surprised at what we play during big games. Apart from the Chelsea before they became the beast they now are, how many big games have we dominated this season?
.... Psg out played and completely dominated us from beginning to end in both legs, United we all troll decimated us and if it wasn't for their inability to find the net, we wouldn't even be talking about a draw now. Mancity with a second team taught us how to play football yesterday and should we meet the current Chelsea side again, some of us might deactivate our accounts after the score line...... Yes, we are that pathetic.
... No drive, no hunger except from Sanchez and it was obvious yesterday that only him cannot do it all. Kosciency the acclaimed best is plain average without Per or Mustafi as he seems unable to organize his defense. I don't even want to talk about Cech or our awful midfield devoid of life or creativity. Coquelin has no clue on what to do with the ball, just runs all around non-stop getting cards while Xhaka seems incapable of using his legs and yet we mock Pogba who is ten times better than all of our midfielders.
...... Perez has shown time and again what he can do and instead of Wenger to form a partnership with him and Sanchez, he leaves him to rot on the bench, same thing he did to Campbell and Podoski. ... .... The old man keeps blaming the refs like it is their fault his team keeps getting outplayed in every big match. Is it the ref's fault that he keeps failing to change tactics if the current one employed isn't working? Look at what Pep did after half time and the instant changes that occurred but Wenger would never do that, he prefers to converse with the fourth ref..
....... If the old man has any legacy left he should just leave after this season because the lady-like mentality he has installed in every player since the move to the Emirates is one of main reasons we can't dominate big games. I hear we are getting Simeone as he has been learning how to speak English for the last two years. His change this season from negative football to a more passing one says it all, he might just be heading to the Emirates. Wenger should join the board or lead the Charity club, he is no longer needed. Truth they say is bitter. COYG |

Keky: Özil was appalling yesterday and he'll get a large share of the blame but no one performed. No one ever does when it matters, Wenger's why.
A good christmas present would be Arsene resigning and letting someone else lead us forward. We wouldn't finish 7th. Trust me. For Wenger to resign, the whole lot of mediocres would have to go with him. No modern day manager can play with those guys. We could win 3 matches in a row and still get stuck on 6th. |

His technique, positioning/awareness, delivery and aerial presence are key points of his game. Add to that, the fact that he understands his role very well. I think he has done well so far.
I don't believe that Kennedy is better, Kennedy is just a kind of different player - an option.
Even the Diego Laxalt we are being linked is not necessarily better than both. Sometimes fans judge by the exotic type of player. They fail to notice the effective ones. Monreal comes to mind. |

As for Kante being suspended, I would play Chalobah. I might play 3-5-2 with Fabregas as AM, but regardless I would play Chalobah. But they also move the ball very well. Like a local Barca. Nevertheless this makes them poor on away soil. I hope they surprise US. |
