Thinking retrospectively on Cech vs WH

Though most pundits put the blame on him, and they are right because of his pedigree, but was Cech really to blame for Arsenal's loss? No.

On the first goal, the defence went to sleep allowing Kouyate a free header from the front of goal. Cech came out to salvage the situation but due to the distance from where he was, he couldn't get there on time. If he had stayed back, would he still be blamed? Of course they will still blame him for not coming out.

On the second goal, Chamberlain lost the ball while trying to dribble out of the defence, Zarate got it and prepared to shoot, but shockingly Koschieny (what was he thinking, you have Cech not a cat in goal) failed to close him down instead blocking Cech's view, and bam, goal. Yes Cech was wrong footed but if the defence had done their work, we wouldn't be discussing this topic today.

I said West Ham won because they adopted tactics that are difficult for Arsenal to handle. That doesn't mean they didn't play well. I even went on a say AW should look for a way to overcome such tactics. Sometimes I wonder why you sound so stuupid. I wonder if it shows on your face. I wonder really. We must appreciate that Theo gives us a different brand of CF from what Giroud offers. That difference alone can unsettle teams when any come up as a sub. That said, Theo uses pace to make up for stamina, those sharp runs make defenders calculate 'where this one go run go now', plus Theo is one of the best finishers in England, his strike rate betters that of Aguero. Nice to see someone who believes in Giroud; 14goals in 18games last season makes you wonder why we need another striker. My opinion is that Giroud is highly under-rated, so if a Benzema signing will make Henry see his true worth, no problem.

mourinho usually wins the league when he has an excellent 1st half of the season,so i expect Chelsea to win if they have an excellent 1st half of the campaign.the remaining 3 positions depends on which team has the longest period of consistency and given their form for the past 2 seasons it surely will be an interesting battle not forgetting those outside teams trying to break in( liverpool,spurs and Southampton)

You are right but unlike Mourinho he hasn't strengthened this season, and though his first team is the strongest yet he has no bench. So if any of Costa, Hazard and Fabregas gets injured, it's over for him.
But when I look at Arsenal and the level of depth they have, mehn...

Sorry, I don't see the Blues winning this season due to a very weak bench. You guys have the best first team though, but injuries and form could cost the title.
Arsenal has a better balanced team, and with Cech they have my go.
City is living in past glory. They have not really strengthened.
United's poor defence and too much tinkering with LvG's philosophy would mean more time to blend. By the time they do, it's too late.
Liverpool miss out with too many new faces without real quality.
