proudlysports: Szczesny's father has been saying stuff one day to the FA Cup final. Even though Szczesny has come out to distance himself from his father's outburst, we wait to see if it will affect his chances of starting tomorrow. I for one I'm surprised AW didn't start him in our last game against Brom as preparation for FA Cup final.
My possible line up is same as yours except maybe Ospina will be in goal and Jack will start ahead of Ramsey Yea, it is hard to choose between Jack and Rambo especially after the last game, but I thought Ram gives a more consistent performance and has spent more time in the midfield trio with Ozil and Cazorla. Any will do for me though. |

sod09: wat I mean bout 3 players in a position..... For example we av debuchy, bellerin and chambers for right back Debuchy and bellerin re d guaranteed right back while chambers as d versatile or switching player We shd av someone like DAT in all departments @sod First you mentioned Bellerin isn't good enough for RB, next you said RB is the best position we have. If Wenger hadn't signed Debuchy you would have whined till your throats sore, but Bellerin will get the nod ahead of him in tomorrow's final. Again if Coquelin had been a January signing you'd have said 'what a signing', Let me tell you I have watched football for decades now and I know that what you have is better than what is out there until that person joins you. Even if we sign the best DM in Europe he will have to work to displace Coquelin, and until he does that he stays on the bench- that's AW for you. Sometime ago I posted that with the performance of Bellerin, Debuchy would be wondering why Arsene signed him in the first place. Like as I have mentioned before we only need 3 signings- a striker which is priority, then a goal keeper and then a DM. |

Ok here is it.
Compared to our team we had no improvements from last season but...
Compared to other teams, we had improvements.
Whatever the case may be, winning the cup tomorrow will send a huge statement of intent for next season. Failure to, in the same way, will be a big shame. |

pickabeau1: I guess half bread is better than none Wenger has now made FAcup the standard
Why bother competing for EPL n UCL when you can win facup So Dnipro that lost last nights Europa league finals are mediocres. So by not finishing top of your class every year you are a mediocre? So as Chelsea did not win the FA cup this season they are mediocres? Bros please spare the rod. Mediocrity means not making progress not just being at the top of everything. There can be only one first but there are many winners. An example is Swansea finishing 8th. Much praise has gone to Gary Monk because that is progress. PROGRESS. So like it or loath it by finishing 3rd this season it's progress for Arsenal, and if or when we win the FA cup, then we have excelled. Afterall Chelsea hasn't won the FA cup for the past two seasons. |

Thank God for d f.a cup we winning now At least if we can be winning DAT every year we won't be trophyless Do you appreciate that we made progress this season? Does progress mean anything to you? When you look at van Gaal who spent over £200million and Rodgers who also spent £150million on Liverpool, you've just got to give AW a chance- there is real progress in the team. Top players in the world are hoping for Wenger to call them because they see real progress and a future in Arsenal FC. You have just got to take a look at other teams like Tottenham, Dortmund, Inter and AC Milan etc and appreciate what you've got. |

edoyad: Do we really want to become that team that everyone just sits back and absorbs all our baby punches again ? There's been no killer instinct in this squad, no predatory instincts at all. One of the problems with league games is that some teams just want to sit back and defend, earn a draw and are satisfied, unlike cup games where you have just got to win. It is very difficult to score against a team that only want to defend, I mean, it takes extra luck (not even effort) to get pass 11 professional players who don't want to play ball even if you are Barcelona or whatever. |

sod09: u don't need to feel bad I'm just surprise by ur sudden change......wen I said d man isn't leading us to EPL nd UCL trophies U guys tot my hatred for him is d reason Dnt be surprise he will wait till after copa america to buy his exceptional players or buy one youngster.......den their prizes will go high nd he won't buy again. Whereas we av options available..... Kondogbia, schnederin, hugain.....a keeper nd defender den we good to go But he still has to decide on if hes going for EPL nd UCL so that day won't lose all..... Just as I mentioned, I defended him based on my rationalisations of the conditions he was working under (no money, bla bla bla). Now that those conditions have eased off, he certainly has no more excuses to make. Whether he decides to buy or brood, he has just got to hand us the EPL title next season or at least, as I mentioned, give it a genuine push. |

We now have the strength in depth, the stadium and the financial power to compete with any club for the best legs in the world. This is the time when Arsene's got to prove he is better than others as some of us claim him to be. Meanwhile he needs to beat Man Utd for 3rd place and then win the FA cup to make this season a relative success. #NoMoreExcuses |

proudly9ja: True we've scored a lot of goals. Maybe what I'm looking at are the games we lost/drew because we couldn't break some teams down. yesterday's game is a classic example. Did we lose the game because we couldn't score or because we didn't defend well? Similar thing happened in the 1st leg and we've had a few games like that this season.
I may be wrong. Perhaps I'm just spoilt. I remember how Thierry used to bail us out of games. Maybe that's why I think we need someone upfront. If you have been lying before then this is the best truth told. I really appreciate your understanding of the game especially that of Arsenal. The fact is that we need at least 2 players to think of winning the league next season- a striker first then a DM as support (not back up) for Le Coq. Then if we have the luxurry to bring in Cech, that would be great. Em Naijababe as of now abeg Coquelin can hold his own anywhere, whether he is a finished product I can't tell because there is always room for improvements. Again taking a look at the Swansea game, when your attack fail to turn up it leaves the defence under pressure. Check Man Utd- WestBrom the same thing happened. Mehn we need a striker most. AW can no longer give excuses if he fails to hand me the EPL next season or at least make a genuine push cos the team is ready for it. They only need a little tweaking here and there. |
