diggz:Arsenalphobic! You will weep. |
edoyad:Sanchez gave a good reckoning as a signing, and yes you are right. There are no generalisations, but as I said, depending only on signings will eventually wear out the team, destroy its structure and team work, and makes you buy a 'home grown' worth £2mil for £20mil. |
pickabeau1:Vidal and Ramsey. Even if it is Vidal and Coquelin, what transpired between Bellerin and Debuchy must have taught us something didn't it? Yes Vidal gets the nod ahead of Coq but anytthing is possible- I see Coq coming stronger, better and more reliable next season. Arsenal Till Heaven Beckons... |
@Aveton, if you love fta and seek unlimited possibilities then get the 1.8m and keep your 4922a. But if you just want mytv and enjoy their cheap fairly quality services then get a 90cm and the 4940hd. |
pickabeau1:There he goes again, the other guy's dog is better. Anyways we would find out if the other guy's dog snuggles in. Olaone1:At least we get linked, and since neither Arsenal nor Vidal has refuted the claims, isn't a deal in the offing? |
pickabeau1:Vidal is similar to Ramsey and Wilshere, I do not know if he will have the discipline to sit in front of the back four as Coq does when situation demands. Great signing though- that's if oga Wenger confirms. |
SlyCharlie:I dstv have right in Nigeria what about other W African countries at least we can tap from them. |
orogodoganyin:Well its because I can't see any remarkable difference between the others and what we've got. One problem with most fans is that they value more what belong to others than what is within. For example if Wilshere or Coquelin were to be playing for Man City or Chelsea we would have valued them better. But the truth is that, in most cases the better replacement comes from within. That's the secret of Barcelona and Ajax and offcourse Arsenal. Take Bellerin for example, he was not even in the plan for last season. Debuchy was bought together with Chambers as his backup. But for injuries and fate here we are, Debuchy will be backup for Bellerin. So how much is his signing worth? That said, signing a new player makes sense only because it breathes new enthusiasm into the team and breeds competition. But it is not the perfect way of sourcing new players. Brendan Rodgers made that mistake last season for Liverpool and he is making the same mistake again. Tottenham made the mistakes two seasons ago but learnt their lesson, now they have Kane, Mason and co. That's why Wenger hardly buys more than three first team players but can buy as many prospects as possible. Thumbs up Arsene. |
proudlysports:For 21mil pounds that would be a steal. Arsenal is also heavily linked to Ezekeil Garay of Zenith and Argentina may be just in case Kosch decides to join Madrid. Another Wenger target is a left back, if Monreal leaves for Bilbao. Top quality strikers are off the market now, but let's hope that before August one of Messi, Ronaldo or Aguero would be available. ![]() |
sod09:The fact is that there are no available top class strikers for now unless you have £60m for Higuain or Benzema. The others you mentioned, Benteke and Hernandes are not better than Walcott or Giroud or even Welbeck. Besides we still need to offload Podolski, Campbell and Sanogo. I feel we lost out on Martinez but then he is a Giroud type player same with Mandzukic. Nevertheless I still believe Wenger will sign, I suspect he is watching the Copa. ![]() And don't even do Cech, he is the best deal so far even Jose knows. |
nu123kolo:Chai! See finishing. |
edi287:definitely not worth it. Hope AW plans something because with Higuain overvalued at 67m, the only option that makes sense is the french guy at RM but I dont want another french, I'd rather go for a south american. |
Would you pay €40million for Aubameyang? |
DONE DEAL! Arsenal signs one Drag...so so so, we hear he is a top top quality midfielder from Romania. The guy dey play eh. |
Kondogbia to Inter? I am beginning to have that old feeling that AW is not willing to sign a proven DM and would prefer Coquelin as first choice with any of Arteta, Wilshere, Ramsey, Flamini or even untested Bielik and biscuit bone Diaby as cover. The Arsene I know will not pay £15mil for a back up when we have those aforementioned seeking for playing time. Someone said '' Wilshere should be cover for Coquelin, if not how will he get into the team when either 'Santi' or 'Cazorla' is playing.'' So fans, rule off any idea of £25mil Schneiderlin not to talk of £35mil Calvalho coming this summer. Those gimmicks only remind him of what Le Coq is worth. |
SweetWJ:Most likely a SW issue. Why not do a factory reset. |
Freelancer00:Who needs Kondo when we've got The CoQ. |
tayoccu:So you spend hours watching a bunch of over hyped players every week. Are you not an over hyped fan? |
sod09:Good question. |
sod09:Is it impossible that Wilshere could be captain of Arsenal and England someday? As a matter of fact I think he is next (or Hart) after Rooney retires. I hope you admit your doubts when it happens. As for his position, let me lecture you. Wilshere is normally a box to box midfielder and just like Ramsey, he could also be deployed to either RW or LW as he has the capacity to cut into fullbacks. While he does the former for England, Wenger occasionally assigns him the latter. Meanwhile Man City is offering £40mil and a £150k per week for him. Even Sanchez didn't come for that amount. If you use my info win argument remember to send me something o. ![]() |
pickabeau1:But we've got Flamini?! Hahahaha! Just joking. I believe Wenger will get a decent DM at least to give Coq competition and some break too. If not, he will get enough mouth from the Black Scarf. I trust he doesn't want that. |
AJITERU:It is true that a bad defence will always concede goals. But there is a difference a good goalie can bring in into the final result. For example, Man Utd had about the worst defence among the top teams last season and shipped a lot of goals, while Chelsea had the best defence and actually conceded few goals, but then it was DDG who was picked as best keeper rather than Coutois. Why? The difference. Let me make another point, Cech and Szczesny had the same number of clean sheets in the 2013/14 season. Would you say then that they are at par? No. Nevertheless it shows Szcz has got the talent, and that is why I feel it will be Ospina not him to get axed. Unless send him on loan to get experience. |
sod09:Let me react to your views 1. It's sad for you because it takes only a game to discover a player. For Coquelin it was vs Man Utd, for Jack Grealish of A. Villa it was FA cup semis vs Liverpool. It takes a game. 2. So Wilshere has no wing? Either you are just being silly or you know nothing about football. 3. It sarcastic to call him Wengers HIGHLY rated forward. Jeffers was loaned out to Everton! The real issue is that he cannot be compared to Wilshere who is already a full England international. In fact Wilshere has been tipped to be England's next skipper by the likes of Paul Scholes. So no comparison. 4. Na onle Wilshere and Welbeck you fit compare Falcao to? What about Sanchez? Besides van Gaal would wish he'd kept Welbeck than pay £34mil for Fowl-cow. Nevertheless, once a star always a star. With good tweaking and conditioning he can return to his best- that also includes Torres. And that's why Mou can take a chance on him. For your last comment I need not answer you. |
sod09:1. How do you rate a player? 2. Where do you think is Wilshere's best position, since you can rate him. 3. Do you know Jeffers? 4. I also asked why you think Mou is bringing Falcao to Chelsea despite his being a flop last season for Man Utd. |
sod09:With how many games will you judge somebody? Specialist900:There is a saying in football training that 'if he did it once, he can do it again'. Once a player crosses a mark he has crossed it. Football is in the brain. Have you noticed that even at old age, footballers still show remarkable ball sense? Injuries, lack of focus, ageing and fitness issues may affect performance but the talent will never die. Case study; Chelsea and Mourinho will sign Falcao for next season, why? Your guess is as good as mine... ...unless Sod comes with a shitty answer. |
Weekend fixtures please. Our coordinators, Drandonzero, Pofolo, Unikazzy, Hon1977, et al. |
naijababe:Comparing Wilshere with Jeffers or Wright is too harsh naw, eh biko. May be you didn't do Arsenal vs West Brom or Slovenia vs England. Wilshere comes with a lot of promise, he isn't there yet but he can get there. When the likes of Rosicsky, Cazorla and Arteta return home, we would be looking up to Jack, and that time is not far away. |
JUO:Its a big lie. If it is true then tell us your decoder and the tp. Please sha. |
Specialist900:You have simply underestimated what a good, very good goalie can do for you. Well ask L. van Gaal. And in case you haven't taken notice, this had been Fergie's secret over the years- from Pete Schmeichel to Fabian Barthez to Tim Howard to Edwin van der Saar to David De Gea, now they have their eyes on Hugo Lloris if DDG moves. See? |
fredoooooo:Well at least someone would pay 30million pounds for a patient. :p |
Would you sell Wilshere to Man City for £30million. |
nana2000:Scrambled over here. |
