Aubameyang and Lacazette are not better that Walcott. That's for sure.

What we need is a striker that can put Giroud confidently on the bench, if not it's useless signing since Walcott and Welbeck can give him all the competition he needs.

Giroud benched Lacazette since the world cup till date for France. That spells something. Just like Benteke, I FEEL the guy MAY just be SLIGHTLY over-rated. He can be the future star though, same with Aubameyang.

LvG is rapping about philosophy because Man Utd has got money to spend. One day he would be required to build his own players just as AF did. Then we will see what comes of his philosophy.

That said, buy buy buy is not the key, adding more than three players to a team automatically changes the spine and structure of that team. We saw it here last season, Liverpool also saw theirs (they are making the same mistake), Tottenham has not recovered from the wasted windfall from Bale.

It is better to promote from within with at most three marquee signings.

Schurlle -- Cuadrado,
Luis + loans deals -- Costa + Fab,
Cech -- Bergovic, etc

The attached pics only shows how smart we've been lately. Transfer dealings that won us the league and capital one cup titles cheesy

I claimed that Cuadrado joined us for £26m and your pic is quoting £27m, tell me, is the truth far-fetched?

The truth is, there are a lot to tell about your recent transfers not just Di Maria's.

They all scream of ''desperation'' and I'm being objective about this. When Utd moved to sign Di Maria, there was an urgent need to strengthen the backline and central midfield, but all that got ignored b'cos Manyoo couldn't have afforded to miss out on a 'big' player who just got deemed surplus to requirement.

So how would it go? £59m was shelled out for a departing player - a british transfer record.

Real knew the position you guys were in and it was easy for 'em to have you guys battered.

Just like we had you chaps sodomised in the Mata's transfer.

The bully in it is that, just like in the case of Chelsea and Real, Monaco gave out a player who didn't feature in their plan for a mammoth figure.

You guys paid £6m for the privilege of bringing Falcao in on loan. Then you also had to pay his wage, which was widely reported to be £265k.

Inshort, the total outlay on bringing a crocked Falcao to OT on a one-year loan was £24m. Maga once again.

Once again, I'm not inflating. Different figures get quoted by different sources.

Coquelin is a way better DM than Morgan, but he's nowhere near the frenchman's wages.

It's obvious nothing is shocking from Utd anymore, your recent transfer business is incomprehensible.

Sailor reflect on these facts, while I spend some time with my ashana cheesy
Just a little correction to buttress your point.

Falcao's loan fee with £16mil, with annual after tax salary of £18mil totaling £34mil. 8-)

I think it was a routine meeting.
About new signings? Have we forgotten Wenger goes to the market when it is about to close. I adopted that strategy and boy, you get wears very cheap at that time. Because traders who need cash would be willing to let go.

Nope... Giroud gets flunged out the window... I've told you... I'm not a fan of his... he's getting sloppy... a lot... we don't need hold up play anymore... we just need too get the ball to the feet of these players... Giroud is stoke city quality... but this transfer might never see the light of day...
I was really impressed with Lacazette's 27goals for Lyon and thought he could be better than Giroud. That's until I and some friends did an analysis of him.

Out of the 27, 9 were penalties, that leaves 18 from open play in 38games. Giroud scored 14goals in 25games for Arsenal, no penalties. Now when you compare the Ligue 1 with Premier league, you can't but give it to Giroud.

Giroud is highly under-rated, mostly due to his lack of consistency in scoring but then he has got team play which for Wenger is more important since anybody can score. That also was Wenger's problem with Podolski, who though has a better strike rate but very poor in team play.

Unless Wenger is bringing one of Ronaldo, Messi or Aguero; any other signing may find it difficult to put Giroud on the bench because of what he brings to the team. When he tried it with Sanchez against Everton,... Lol!

My man was just burning fuel everywhere on the pitch without touching the ball. So Wenger pitied the guy and pulled him out at half time - remember Wenger does not sub until about 70mins. Giroud came in and turned the game around, since then Sanchez has been confined to the wings.

A Benzema or Higuain can only bring competition for Giroud, which also will make him better. But they can't condemn him to the bench. That competition can also come from Walcott and Akpom and Welbeck if they up their games. Time will tell.

LvG is a ruthless coach. RVP barely had 10 goals last season, so it can be understandable why he chose to let him go. RVP is also on a decline. Even in the Dutch National Team, it is clear that RVP is no longer the same RVP of three seasons again. Not that I can be bothered about Robin van Turkey now. Wenger has more pertinent issues to face than discussing about a player who thought he was bigger than the club.

As regards to Giroud, I really do think he needs someone that will jolt him back to working harder. Benzema seems to be our best option for buying at the moment.
I doubt strongly about his availability, I doubt if Benitez would let Benzema leave on his first season as manager. But if we can get him...

It's hello blues and down the road we go.

One funny thing about Giroud is that fans don't see his contributions but the players will swear he is a super striker- and yes he does pop up to do the business when it matters.

Underate Giroud to your peril; that's my advice to opponents.

Arsenal is smoking this season. Walcott has banged in one goal already. Boyz are not going easy at all.

Meanwhile I heard we are in for another striker from Dortmund. Don't know how true this is though.
Walcott giving Giroud a run for his money. He keeps scoring, I thought he has a close strike rate with Ronaldo.

Wenger shocked the Man Utd let van Persie go. I had wondered why LvG should off load RVP, I thought he was even better than Rooney. Unless it's a personal issue (as LvG usually has loads of issues with everyone except himself), Mr Philosophy could be making a mistake.

I don't usually complain with all these Wenger bashing machines that troll this thread. What I cannot stand is someone coming here and spewing that Ozil and Welbeck add nothing to the team. What an applesauce.

The same year Ozil joined us, we won our FA Cup after 9 years of nothing. The same World Cup winning Ozil is what someone here calls lazy and adds nothing to the team. The same Özil that was injured for most of the half season, returned and improved the team beyond comprehension. Talking of Welbeck, how much was Balotelli bought for in Liverpool. And yet Welbeck had a far more outstanding season for Arsenal than Balotelli for Liverpool. I will forever remember the goal Welbeck scored for us against ManU.
My brother I tire pass you.

Meanwhile whatz up with the Everton game?

Either you or Henry be mumu; choose one.

Man Utd that is under reconstruction, buying and selling like a dog in heat; are they the ones that will now win the league? As at now both Chelsea and Arsenal still have a better squad than them, and besides, this new set up by LvG will require at least 6months to mix properly.

Last season that they bought Di Maria, Falcao, Herrera, Shaw, Rojo, Blind, gbogbo tin gbo, what did they win? Ok what have they bought now? Schneiderlin from Sotton, Darmian from Atalanta, Schweini-rejected at Bayern, or Depay from PSV. They can only talk of winning the league by next year, and that is if they build well.

Listen. There is time for everything...

During the financial stress years AW and Arsenal just couldn't compete with Man Utd, Chelsea, and Man City flexing their financial muscles. We were losing our best players to them. Then it was unrealistic to demand for titles when it was obviously not possible (like asking Everton to win EPL).

Foolish fans and WOBs who never saw but read of our glory days started crying like spoilt babies, but the board knew AW was being a magician for keeping the club consistently in the UCL.

Now that the clout is off, and a team is built- we have stopped selling, started buying big (who be us to buy Ozil before?), and even buying from our direct rivals, common sense should tell you that we are ready to make a challenge. AND WE WILL.

... And this our time. #COYG!
