PoliticsRe: I Support The Creation Of Ijebu State - Senator David Mark by staaari: 5:11pm On Oct 29, 2012
by the way what will be the land mass of the ijebu state? Let me in laugh in ika language

actually, it is better to be small and efficient rather than big and useless.

Lagos is the most productive state in Nigeria yet it has relatively small landmass!!
EntertainmentRe: Adewale Ayuba Beaten-up For Arriving Late At Performance Venue by staaari: 4:41pm On Oct 29, 2012
@channel801,

thanks for providing clear statement on this story.

It is sad that virtually very few people condemn the barbaric act of 'beating' someone by MOPOL.

No wonder Nigeria gratduated to Boko Haram. And it is distasteful to use the word 'Aluu'.

Imagine if those guys were ur friends or family members.

Nigerians by their acts deserve the country they have TODAY!!!
PoliticsRe: I Support The Creation Of Ijebu State - Senator David Mark by staaari: 4:07pm On Oct 29, 2012
@ndu_chuks

The Elders and fathers of Ijebu people would rather have their own state than be used by agents of PDP or Ojuyobo.
absolutely correct.
PoliticsRe: I Support The Creation Of Ijebu State - Senator David Mark by staaari: 3:41pm On Oct 29, 2012
@Desola,

you are not helping @Sagamite.

I will not join in your abusive nature. It is only a sign of weakness.

I have spoken, if any group fought for the INVADERS hard, it was Ijebus. That historical fact is clear and I have shown why Abeokua was made capital of Ogun state and also why it was called Ogun State just because Mr Obasanjo is Egba son.
PoliticsRe: I Support The Creation Of Ijebu State - Senator David Mark by staaari: 3:10pm On Oct 29, 2012
@sagamite,
U need to show maturity instead of being abusive. Provide a more superior facts.

There is not group in present day Nigeria that fought the invading British HARD like the Ijebus. It is well documented.
PoliticsRe: I Support The Creation Of Ijebu State - Senator David Mark by staaari: 2:53pm On Oct 29, 2012
Foremost, most comments here are lacking in-depth.

Without Ijebu there would be no Nigeria. Go to your history!

In May 1891 the British Acting Governor, Captain C.M. Denton C.M.G., left Lagos with an escort of Hausa constables (Hausas are from the Islamic north of Nigeria) to visit Jebu Ode to make agreements allowing the free passage of trade goods through Ijebu territory. However the Awujale refused to agree to the British requests and he also rejected the British presents given to him by Denton, doubtless fearing that to accept them would obligate him in some way.

The Jebus were believed to have up to 8,000 men and some old Snider rifles, but the tribe was not rated highly as fighters. This assumption was mistaken. On 19th May the Jebu made a determined stand on the north bank of a ford over the Yemoyi River, five miles south of Jebu Ode.The Ijebu were determined to prevent the British from crossing the ford and as warriors were shot down or ran out of bullets fresh relays of men from the rear replaced them.

If any region in Nigeria deserves a state, it was Ijebu. They fought the British hands down. Lossing about 1000 men to the Maxim Gun. Obasanjo was a cheat, he created Ogun state in 1975 and make Abeokuta capital since he came from there.

It is time to reward the Ijebus for their galantry. Yes, welcome Ijebu State!

Prof needs to find another way to make money... nobody is going to buy that book.

He should have stick to his mastery of literature and not go into politics.. especially politics of Nigeria!
HealthRe: Woman Loses Hands And Legs To Illegal Butt Injection by staaari: 7:52am On Oct 19, 2012
Same happened to a niaja babe recenty:

For someone chasing an ideal of greater beauty and sex appeal, it was a sad death in a foreign hospital, thousands of miles from home. But such was the price paid by 20-year-old Claudia Aderotimi, who travelled from her home in London to America, apparently in a quest for backstreet cosmetic surgery to give herself fuller buttocks.

Ladies... be happy with what u have afterall punnany is SAME.

PoliticsRe: Aregbesola - Governors Not Chief Security Officers by staaari: 11:06am On Oct 17, 2012
1. will state police not be used as an instrument of oppression and political score settling?

That is ok. will you go and live in such state? No. So state that has better security will attract good people, better investment and develop.

2. how many states can finance a state police?

If they value true development, they will finance and budget appropriate for their state security.

3. what do we do with the present crop of policemen, if and when the state police comes up?

Present crop belong to the Federal. Thats FG's problem. Ofcourse some of them could join the state police.

4. can't we do something about the present arrangement?

Present system was setup by British to put ALL OF US into their control during the madness years of colony! It is not meant for us to develop.

State Police will be the best thing to happen to us.

A secure state/country is more stable and when you stable, you have ability to focus of developement and GROW.
CrimeRe: Arowolo: Murdered Banker Was Stabbed 76 Times – Pathologist by staaari: 8:00am On Oct 17, 2012
Shocking!!!!

Why is everyone already condeming the man as the killer??

76stabs will surely have blood splatter all over the place!

where is the picture of the blood splatter to be consistent with the stab wound?

Yes, the pathologist could have inflicted the wounds...the guy's lawyer was not there during the autopsy.

Let us have open mind... it can happen to anyone of us!

Point: It should be proven beyond ALL DOUBTS
CrimeRe: Arowolo: Murdered Banker Was Stabbed 76 Times – Pathologist by staaari: 1:56pm On Oct 16, 2012
76 stabs wound is a lot. It is either:

a. the attacker is under influence of drug, etc

b. badly provoked.

There is no record if any of these 76stabs actually resulted in the death.
There is no information if the stabs is from same object.
There is no record of blood spatter on the crime scene.

So much is at stake, we need to look carefully, deeply and dont jump to conclusion.

It is time for us to create our own Holy Land in any part of Nigeria and send pilgrims there.

I am a muslim and the attitude of Saudi is crap.. load of crap!

I have always been against this Haji as it is nothing but a drain for us economically and a great benefit to Saudi.

It is time Nigeria muslim create their own Mecca, Kaaba, medina in any part of Nigeria!!!

It is all in our head thinking until we go to Saudi Arabia Allah will not bless us; simply brainwashing!

PoliticsRe: Why Jonathan Returned Ahead Of Schedule – Abati by staaari: 10:10am On Sep 13, 2012
The Presidency on Wednesday explained that President Goodluck Jonathan returned to Nigeria from his two-nation visit to Malawi and Botswana on Tuesday, a day ahead of his scheduled return, because he accomplished his missions earlier than expected.
Abati is indeed suffering, he should go back to what he knows best: article in Guardian Newspaper!

There is no way any President can finish ahead of schedule. The travels are planned, there is always side talks, dinner, diplomatic-business meetings, tours etc

If he finished on time, means there was an emergency at home.

PoliticsRe: Obasanjo Is A Good Farmer But A Bad Economist - Sanusi by staaari: 11:26am On Sep 12, 2012
Mr Obasanjo actually is not a good farmer! But a clever criminal!

By 1999 his OTA farms was worth less than 20,000Naira.

Mr Obasanjo basically stole our common wealth to re-build his farm!

Operation Feed the Nation = OFN = Obasanjo Farms Nigeria( that was how he siphoned our money back then)

If truly Mr Obasanjo is a good farmer.. where can nigerians buy produce/product from his farm?
