One day this begging/almajiri crap has to stop in Nigeria,
Northern beggars are like addicts, no matter how much they make they always go back to the street.
The plan is not to make a certain amount and stop begging, it's like a career.
To all the hypocrites here, if the northern elite have no problem sending beggars enmass to all part of Nigeria, why do you seem to have an headache?
I encourage more of this, sometimes responsibilities has to be forcefully learned.
I call it tough love!

Lagos has been more developed than other states since the days of colonization, stop all this ignorant talk pls

Slurity:
The best state in Nigeria in terms of anything good that people are enjoying is Lagos and that the state you claim Tinubu is controlling. If you have sense, you should allow him control all other states then.

Baba check history and see how many times Yoruba's have had any reason to fight Igbo tribes??
Now check how many times Yoruba's have clashed with Hausa's, if you are desperate to have an enemy, it should be the hausa/fulani empire that keeps growing TILL TODAY!

aljharem:
You are one of the people selling the yorubas out.

Please where in my post did I mention we should chase the Igbos out ?

I don't condone violence but something needs to be done asap
Politics › Re: Civil Servants Struggling To Collect Sanwo-Olu's APC Rice by StaffofOrayan(m): 7:29pm On Feb 28, 2019
So what do you want us to do?
Chase all the Igbos? And then what ?
Yoruba's would finally all be rich?
Don't waste your youth on these crap

aljharem:
Eku ile eyin eyinmi

I greet you all.

I will like to mention that the issue of Lagos is a serious case that every single Yoruba should pay attention to. How can a group of people migrate to your ancestral land and call you ancestral land a "no man's land" and you smile with them. Please let me ask you a question, If you do not have a heritage where do you come from ? I mean right before your nose, strangers are claiming your homes and calling it a no man's land. I mean how do you introduce yourself to your children.

Kids ::::: Daddy where are we from ?

Father ::::: Kids your ancestral home and that of your fore fathers is no man's land Lagos

Kids :::::::: Why are we from No man's land but Emeka claims he from Enugu.

Father :::::: Well Emeka is from Enugu because he's father and those people him have homes and villages they can be traced but you are a lagosian, no village nothing; you are a vagabond with no history because Lagos is a no man's land

Kids:::::::Ok at least if I go to Enugu I can be elected there or even be a king there.

Father ::::::: Well if you try it is possible

Kids go to Enugu and try to be elected after suffering and investing

Enugu People ::::::: Ndi Yoruba you can never be king or elected here. Your father Awolowo betrayed us

Kids come back home

Now if you are a yoruba man and a Lagosian Awori/Ijebu/Egba and Egun and you smile without cutting the head of the person that says your land is a no man's land, then you are an illiterate.

Forget your education. If the White Americans know their land and Australians still trace their root but yours is "No man's land" then sorry to say but you are a fool.

If you cannot protect your heritage and think being educated means being a fool then I am sorry we are not all fools.

A good example is the House of representative woman in Ajeromi-Ifelodun Rita Odichi Orji was born into the family of Late Mr. Festus Akuenyerenwata Chimara and Mrs. Celestina Chimara. She had her early education in Orlu, Imo State, before moving over to Lagos where she made her home until her election to the hallowed chambers.

Rita Orji campaigns in Igbo language and does empowerment in Imo state thereby taking money meant for Lagos empowerment to Imo state.

This is to tell eyin omo oduduwa to wake up and smell the coffee. This is not tribalism; this is us protecting our heritage.

No ethnic group will allow what we allow in Lagos state. Urhobo, Hausas etc don't gloat on us but Igbos do and we should not allow it !!!

Enough is enough

Crime › Re: Power Generation Loses 1,108MW, Drops To 3,456MW by StaffofOrayan(m): 8:41am On Feb 28, 2019
Power sector like health and every other sector in Nigeria is fraught with one problem...lack of Institution building...pouring money into a deficient institution is only going to make it an expensive mess.
Nigerians problem would NEVER be solved until this country is restructured, tell me anything the federal government has done sucessfully, they can't even secure our lives, the system is too bureaucrat and ideas would always collapse under the weight of govt.

theoldpretender:
So, we take loans....and we don't complain about it.

That's the only realistic solution.

Agreed APC has failed...PDP has failed....but there is a reason why we privatised power...because of the reality that government could no longer fund power adequately.

So, either we pay higher for pwer...or we take loans...or we accept the status quo and stop complaining. We cannot get something of $2million for $20.
Crime › Re: Power Generation Loses 1,108MW, Drops To 3,456MW by StaffofOrayan(m): 8:17am On Feb 28, 2019
Bros naira doesn't have value,
We are the highest population of poor people on earth,
Suggesting a price hike when salaries has not increased is just callous.
Besides APC claimed they have a couple of power plants about to start power generation

theoldpretender:
Yes, we spent 40million on oil search.I agree, that is a waste.

But that 40million won't be enough to get us up to 24/7 light..

We need to increase generation to at least 50000MW , and also replace our poor and outdated transmission system.

40m USD won't do it.
Crime › Re: Power Generation Loses 1,108MW, Drops To 3,456MW by StaffofOrayan(m): 7:56am On Feb 28, 2019
We spend billions searching for oil in the North,
Besides where are all the power stations in APC's list of achievements?

theoldpretender:
So where do we get the money to make improvements?

Ghana pays higher than we do, and they are just as much a developing country as we are.

And at the moment, oil prices are too low for us to make a decent living.

And then there is corruption.

Shebi we should take loans? That means much higher bills anyway down the road.?

Let us be realistic.
Crime › Re: Power Generation Loses 1,108MW, Drops To 3,456MW by StaffofOrayan(m): 7:41am On Feb 28, 2019
My friend things are already hard in Nigeria
You are suggesting things get harder??
Increasing tarrif isn't going to build power stations

theoldpretender:
We need to increase generation and improve transmission.

And that cannot be done on bills less than 4000 on meter, 10000-20000 estimated.

Let's be honest, the laws governing the establishment of the DISCOS force them to charge below the production price of power...meaning they cannot pay the GENCOS adequately and the GENCOS cannot pay enough for gas.

And in my opinion, we need a sum far higher than our national budget to get to 24/7 electricity. Somewhere between $300-900bn. (Our reserve is $40bn.)

Fashola said 5 years ago that 24/7 power was not rocket science. The man should by now see how severe the problem is.

So either power bills go up ,or we take a loan, a hefty loan. Ghana has 24/7 light...because their power bills are higher than ours. Time we faced the reality.

I don tire for naija

ItzBIM:
Jonathan is the last pdp President.

Atiku is a corrupt, power hungry with a personal mission to loot Nigeria dry. Atiku jumped from SDP to AC to PDP to APC now back With PDP this clearly show he is looking for the best suited for his agenda he doesn’t have Nigeria people at heart, any educated person can see this not literate person but educated person (big difference).

Infact Atiku donated 3 billion to Buhari campaign in 2015 plus a jet.

So who is deceiving who, give Nigeria to a digital minded person so that we can keep up with this digital era.

It's not about producing a president, we produced Obasanjo eventually, and nothing really happened in the SW, because like Tinubu he has no ideology,
SW has always been divided into 2 since the days of that hausa loving fool called Afonja,
If Nigeria is not restructured, we would be going about in circles.
The Northerners with the most presidents are the most wretched people probably in the world, the Igbos with no president have risen a few steps above SW education wise, but you can never get it,
Like MC Oluomo, you are a product of bad leaders

quote author=FocusedDiva post=75957328]BUHARI FOR SECOND TERM

Civil Servant or Public Servant should think twice before casting their VOTE. One factor is that at least 70% of ALLOCATION to STATES comes from NNPC.

IF eventually NNPC is sold to ATIKU's friends as promised, definitely your SALARY has being sold off, your JOB has being sold off. Think deeply. Thanks.

~Retired Biafran Army "Chinedu Madu" caution civil servant.

This election has the following in built factors:
The licenses of DISCOS have expired and the PMB’s government is to allow more companies to come in.

The OIL prospecting licenses of the Generals have expired and PMB is set to allocate them to the States for infrastructural development and thirdly and the most important the monopolistic license issued to INTELS with an annual revenue of N300 billion will expire in 2020 and PMB will not renew it. This has been the mainstay of Atiku. Wike and Secondus are also beneficiaries.

Therefore the elections is between the masses and those who have cornered our commonwealth.

If you are not their friend and you are supporting them without verifying these expiry dates of their economic dominance you have to think twice.

God bless Nigeria[/quote]

Read more about Awolowo, that's right, the man that made it possible for clowns like BAT to get an education FOR FREE. U can see from BAT's cap that he wished he was Awolowo.
Your claim about Rice being cheaper is a joke
That you think Tinubu is a blessing on Yoruba land shows how deeply enslaved you are.
What French law are you talking about??
This was the same crap Duterte of the Phillipines used as a defence when killing his citizens until the French set him right,
Osibanjo is a puppet to Tinubu, we already have one in Lagos and some other SW states and they are not spectacular.

olajide8:
How nice would it have been if you didn't play ethnic politics - but now you have shot yourself in the foot- how unfortunate, you are a waste to your generation, when your likes don't know the truth - I didn't hear stories, I knew what happened when buhari became president and what he did was to force people arrested then to prove themselves innocent like the French law provides, as against what English law we practice which says we must prove them guilty while they defend themselves now -we also know when he was overthrown, and we are worst off for it today - it's further pathetic that you want me to go down this line with you* but because, you went there let me visit the fringes with you, I wouldn't go further down the path beyond this submission - 2 hausa men are contesting for presidency, 2 fulani men - that are married across family or regional lines either indirectly aisha is from adamawa, and a lot of atikus kids are married to others from the north west, and they are contesting against themselves and you in your myopicness, is busy disturbing the peace of Isreal - furthermore, because of your hate, for one of the candidates you have closed your eyes to what is more obvious and staring you in the face - this is not a battle amongst the 2 of them NO! - it's a battle amongst the 2 V.P's one is yoruba - that I am proud of and the other is igbo- one is a professor of law and thinks of nigeria* - we* the other thinks of you* which is evident in the questions he asks- how much was a bag of rice yesterday how much is a bag of rice today? What have you benefited from govt., and what have benefited from the country? - because I am not an "omo ale" and I have read the history of nigeria, I would not foolishly vote, because I don't know- I would vote, because I know, I would vote from an informed position* as someone that knows, how we have been playing second fiddle way, before we started regional govt and gained independence- if you don't know, the first person to have bought the S.W into main stream politics is BAT, he performed a feat in which the sage of politics couldn't perform - by going into an alliance with the north and getting political power- so please kip kwayet because you are not yoruba*
