The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, on Monday said he would ensure that the Naira was equal to the dollar in value, if voted into office.

Buhari stated this during the South-East presidential rally of the party at Dan Anyima Stadium, Owerri. “It is sad that the value of the naira has dropped to more than N230 to one dollar; this does not speak well for the nation’s economy,’’ he said. He urged the people to vote for APC, noting that he would ensure that corruption was tackled headlong if elected.

Earlier, Gov Rochas Okorocha had urged APC supporters to vote for the party’s candidates at all levels, noting that a vote for Buhari without support to others at the state would amount to nothing. Okorocha said Buhari would address the problem of electricity, bring back the kidnapped Chibok girls and promote industrial growth. He said that Buhari was loved by the people in the region and urged them to elect him and other APC candidates during the March 28 and April 11 general elections.

Former governor of Anambra, Mr Chinwoke Mbadinuju and former Minister of Education, Chinwe Obaji, were formally welcomed to the APC at the rally. The rally was attended by APC supporters from Abia, Ebonyi, Anambra, Enugu and Imo. (NAN)

The first year of Buhari's presidency, everybody thought the fight against corruption was real, and then the Northern appointments began, the one sided corruption fight, the refusal to address the Fulani crisis, and other failures began to creep in.
It's sad at the end of the day, the 'great' Buhari still goes to the UK for medical check up. The irony of that.

to helping Nigeria to minimize corruption.

He should be supported and all those making threats
against him should be picked up with EVIDENCE.

There must be iron-clad evidence against them
and they should be brought to justice.

I support the government in this anti-corruption
war because it is corruption that has made people to

Always Johnathan, after how many years would you take APC to task? After 8 years?
The works of Minister for Agriculture and Rural Development, Dr. Akinwumi Adesina beats all this this noise from APC which has thrown the country into hunger. If all the top cabinet members of Buhari are northerners, it's only normal Nigeria is run like their region, little wonder hunger is growing, they would soon turn all the kids to almajirisee with plates and spoon instead of quality education

Kagawa10:
Nope. Tell us the jobs created when thousands of job seekers were stampeded to death under Jonathan regime? Or do tell how much loans Jonathan acrued even while Oil was selling at $110rate per barrel? Yeye.
Politics › Re: CJN: Withdraw Osinbajo's Pastoral Position Or Else... - Timi Frank To Adeboye by StaffofOrayan(m): 1:37pm On Jan 28, 2019
You always forget to mention the loans bro
The loans your Buhari has left for us.
All you did is make excuses for the ruling party,
Can u educate us on the plans to create 3m jobs per year??

Kagawa10:
What evil travail? Did you realise when our naira-dollar rate skyrocketed to 500 due to Jonathan looting our treasury dry, it was Osibanjo that brought it down to stable at 360?

Fact is the country is suffering from recession caused by the drop in the rate at which crude oil sells which is at $50 but if we had managed to save enough when a barrel of oil was selling at $110 under Pdp regime, we wouldn't be in this mess. Heck, if our foreign reserve wasn't looted from $48b to $26b, we would have been better off.

If this sweeping recession could affect a developed country such as Canada, what stopped it from affecting a developing country as Nigeria whose past government looted it dry yet some insane Nigerians are bent on supporting these corrupt folks that plunged us into this mess. Whichever way you look at it, fact is this admnistration is earning 60% less than the previous regime yet has done much more than the past regime. Look at our new railway lines, cheap fertilizer production, rice mills, investing in Dangote refineries, construction of Aba-ENugu-Onitsha roads, Lago-Ibadan roads, increasing our powergrids from 2500-7000 (although only 5000 can be transmitted right now due to poor transmission network), payment of all federal pensioneers, increase of our foreign reserve from $26b to $43b and many social programs such as Npower, tradermoni etc.

If these are the evil travails you talk about, I will support it once again. If your looting Pdp had done 1/3 of these while earning 60% more as a result of large revenues got from oil selling at high rate of $110, we wouldn't be in this mess. Yeye dey smell.

In china, the CJN would have been executed publicly..

In Japan the CJN would have committed suicide.

In Europe the CJN would have resigned.

In the US the CJN would be facing a congressional hearing, and be facing 20 years jail time.

In south Africa his houses would have been vandalized and set on fire and he would be in protective custody so he is not killed by protesters and rioters.

But in Nigeria, a corrupt man being the head of the judiciary is celebrated and SAN's rally round him to fight for him, while The wailers and corruption advocates come on NL to support him, with over 40 houses and over N1billion in his account as a civil servant??

we trully belong to poverty as a nation, we really haven't suffered enough.

Nobody can be this naive!!!
When the head of an anti corruption body wears the lapels of the ruling party, u cannot but laugh, when the Chairman of APC says on video that once you join their party ur sins are forgiven,

Forget the lies about oil, Nigeria has borrowed more money than if oil was selling for $150, infrastructure to expedition doesn't match.

About herdsmen, they already advised u to leave your land but they had to backtrack since election was a year away, if these foools win the next election una go hear am. We all saw the video of protesters being shut with machine gunshop and weapons of war, you lots all blamed the protesters so as not to blemish buhari

Make una continue, Igbos have been killed, shites, the Yoruba's can expect to be next, except of course they have nothing to complain about

ClearFlair:
Corruption is Nigeria’s number one problem. It’s either we eliminate corruption fast or it will totally consume our nation. Buhari is the only leader who has shown any interest in fighting corruption. People say his anti-corruption war is one-sided but for me, even if it one-sided it is progress.

People say things are hard but do not realize things are hard because of the mismanagement and corruption in the previous administrations. A country cannot lose so much money and expect everything to be normal a few years after. If you now factor-in the fact that the price of oil has dropped and Nigeria’s major source of revenue is oil, you’ll see why we seem to be going through a dark patch. But if you look at figures now you will see things are gradually improving so why would I want a change of government when things are now beginning to gradually lookup.

About the herdsmen issue, I have never seen a herdsman carrying a gun. There have been several attacks by cattle rustlers in places like Zamfara and Sokoto. When it happens in Zamfara they call them bandits but when it happens in Benue or Plateau they politicize it and call them Fulani herdsmen. Who do you think politicizes these things? Of course it’s the opposition party. And the truth is these attacks have been happening before Buhari came into power but media coverage wasn’t as much and it was not politicized. A party that loots and also politicizes the deaths of innocent citizens for political gain is both desperate and deadly and is not
