Politics › Re: Tax Reforms Hold $72b In Extra Revenue For Nigeria, Others by StaffofOrayan(m): 7:24am On Mar 26, 2019
I think this clueless govt should allow new startups operate tax free for a certain period to encourage entrepreneurs and budding business people not increasing VAT and trying to milk a sickly Nigeria dry.

If your forum caters for intellectuals then they would visit but if you cater for bigots and children then they would flood in, for example there is a particular mod that sends snake craps to FP, no matter how flippant it is, some are very politically compromised and don't hide it

JustBeing:
Old nairaland abi, where your generation (guessing you're 30+) took the lead right? Can't say the same for this new generation on the new nairaland.

Observe the trend, how many thought provoking, insightful and intelligent posts peeps can learn from make it to FP? The mods know what they're doing, they're selling their market and intellectualism isn't high up the list.
Celebrities › Re: Alex’s Fans Still Dragging Tobi Over Sex Gossip by StaffofOrayan(m): 11:04pm On Mar 25, 2019
If you were on the old nairaland you would understand

JustBeing:
It wouldn't. Nigerians love mediocrity. We don't use the internet space productively, it's mostly for nonsense and ingredient like this that interests the vast majority of us. If Nairaland upgraded to a level where constructive intellectualism is required, it wouldn't get this much traffic. Again, Nigerians delight in mediocrity.
Celebrities › Re: Alex’s Fans Still Dragging Tobi Over Sex Gossip by StaffofOrayan(m): 8:21pm On Mar 25, 2019
If Seun was business savvy, Nairaland would be competing with the likes of quora.com. At least judging from a decade before now, these days it's filled with dumb topics, dumber mods and the dumbest comments
Education › Re: APC UK Mocks Corpers Who Don't Know Meaning Of 'CCTV' & 'vertebrae' (video) by StaffofOrayan(m): 8:13pm On Mar 25, 2019
The country is hard because dullards rule you
can you piece it together now??
Bad educational system = bad country with angry citizens that's why they have not fixed the Appapa gridlock for over 20 years.
If your primary 6 child in a private school doesn't know Vertebrae you should ask for a refund sharply

OgahBohz:

If one failed youth out of thousands of failed old hags discourages the youth then the youth were never motivated. It's obvious this dude is just a figure head most likely controlled by another old hag

The non performing Governor !

Very sad!

Politics › Re: Weaponising Religion In Yoruba Politics by StaffofOrayan(m): 5:41pm On Mar 24, 2019
I remember growing up and eating sallah meat at muslims friends houses, it's going to be hard for non yorubas to understand.
Back in the day in a single household, 4 different gods can be worshipped. A typical Yoruba would visit an 'alfa' and a 'woli' and a tradionalist to guarantee best results.
All these divisions are laughable

PS: Both religions are CRAP in my opinion
Politics › Re: Power Generation Drops From 4,708.3MW To 2,938MW by StaffofOrayan(m): 8:00am On Mar 24, 2019
I have always told you to stop this rubbish but you are stuck in your ways. It is 101% the governments fault, now read this maybe you would wisen up.

"Rwanda has implemented one of the most comprehensive electrification programmes in the world. In 2009 only 6% of Rwandans had access to electricity. The government’s aim is to lift this to 70% by 2018." Now that's a govt with a plan.

Let's take one of the most taxed govt institution which is the Nigerian customs, just take a look at the roads going into one of the most lucrative agency, do you get it now? Or do you suggest tax and duties be increased so that customs can do their job?

Power has to have its own ministry headed by a tested and trusted engineer with extensive experience in power generation and distribution not bundled together with road and housing and definitely not headed by a lawyer.

theoldpretender:
They can't source funding because

1.Laws force them to sell power below production costs

2.A large percentage of people and govt don't pay bills

3.Which bank would give cash under that circumstances?
Politics › Re: Power Generation Drops From 4,708.3MW To 2,938MW by StaffofOrayan(m): 7:35am On Mar 24, 2019

Now you finally deem it fit to ask questions?
If you had asked pertinent questions at the beginning of the case you would have see it was a witch hunt eg why all the rush? Even though we know nothing is ever rushed in Nigeria except witch hunting oppositions.
Next time don't be so gullible.
Imagine you are following the case with ur son, you would mislead him totally

Politics › Re: Tinubu To Tambuwal: Don't Use My Name To Defraud Sokoto People by StaffofOrayan(m): 12:38pm On Mar 23, 2019
You can't see what's happening
All you peeps still think the north care about pdp/apc?
This is the beginning of the demonizing of Tinubu, they would paint him as an overbearing politician that needs to be cut to size like Saraki, you are starting to see a lot of Northern politicians and elite echo it.
The ploy is in place to relegate prof osinbanjo, think about it

MetaPhysical:
He cant, afraid of him.
Can you imagine a governor telling his people that a private citizen thousands of kilometers away is coming to town to influence outcome of election. Absurd!
What is the job of the Chief Security Officer for the state if such an abominable thing is possible under his watch. Its an insult on the people for him to even announce it publicly.

Don't you just wish you were yoruba?
The humble tribe
No Yoruba man would curse his ancestors only you dumbasses do that.
Don't you know the empty drum makes the loudest noise?
The day a man from Abia becomes a LGA chairman in onitsha is the day we would take u clown serious.
Love yourself first!!
OSU descendants fight for yourself kikikiki

YorubaBigot:
your father is demented, otherwise awolowo wouldn't take a sufficient dose of otapiapia to end his miserable life.

Was it not a fellow yoruba man like me and you, obasanjo that told the world that if a yoruba man greets you good morning, open the window to see if its afternoon, even we yorubas dont trust ourselves. We are cunning, evil, treacherous and deceptive even to ourselves, now tell me how you expect other people to see us

What is wrong with we yorubas? Look at gbenga daniel. Two faced chameleon. Typical of we omoluabis.. Green snakes under green grass. Laugh with you but stab you behind your back and run away, thats why we yorubas accurately tagged our fellow yorubas ABOBAKU...after we will be beating our flat chests blaming omo ibo as if they are our problem

Shame...yoruba ronu!

Politics › Re: Anambra-China Airport Project To Resume As Ambassador Promises Govt Intervention by StaffofOrayan(m): 7:49am On Mar 23, 2019
If you want to see a 2 faced snake, Google Charly Boy
Your tribe sucessfully labelled fellow Igbos Osu and you want us to trust such tribe 100%
You must be really demented. Love yourselves before you demand love from others.
Is this Yoruba obsession a curse??
No Yoruba cares what goes on in the south east, you have created imaginary enemies because we have refused to pay attention to your chest beating.

YorubaBigot:
Shut your putrid mouth you shameless hypocrite

Thesame way you evil creatures were insulting Obiano when he was signing memoranda of understanding with different chinese companies calling him Mr MOU. When the state govt through farming exportted tonnes of ugu leaves to Europe, same you foolish animals and hateful beings called him ugu governor.

Now all of a sudden thesame idiotic elements are praising obiano since he started supporting buahri. Why are we like this?

The Problem with we yorubas is that we are very evil, treacherous and shameless hypocrites, thats why people see us as two-faced snakes and chameleons

It's the power that attracts the money,
Once they own a government stamp, Billionaires kiss their @ss

AngelicBeing:
Different stroke for different people, in my opinion, Politicians in Nigeria are after the money, no politician is really bothered about relevancy or reputation, it is all about the money, because politics is the easiest way to become a billionaire over night in Nigeria, as long as you play your card very well as a politician in Nigeria, pretend to fight for the masses, get a good PR team to launder your terrible image, promise the hungry masses Eldorado, you will remain relevant and continue to loot forever, even your area father called Charly boy, demonstrated in the day and dines with the devil in the night by collecting 9figures, Abiola would have also stolen his own share, trust Nigeria politicians at your own peril, they are bunch of jokers, thieves, crooks, gangstas and rogues grin

You don't have to be a follower to tap from an individuals wisdom.
If and when the beautyful one comes trust me he would be a revolutionary and a table shaker, be on the look out

NkayStory:
All these crooks forming "Activites" and pretending to speak on behalf of the masses.."Take it back movement" indeed

Just like Charly Boy's "Our Mumu don Do".

I pity the gullible following them around while the arrow-heads cleans out financially.

The Beautiful Ones Are Not Yet Born in Nigeria...for real.
Politics › Re: CBN Projects 3% GDP Growth In 2019 by StaffofOrayan(m): 8:18am On Mar 22, 2019
That's why I called him a palace jester, imagine my surprise when he echoed what others can't seem to see. The first challenge would be funding the budget, the next would be sourcing funds for ongoing and promised projects, and the last would be enforcing the tax increment on an already struggling middle class, 2019 would see a lot of borrowing and negligible growth, that is a guarantee.

lapazi:
Ok! I most admit you made a valid point at the bolded + i left it out from my initial post.
However when you say "You totally disagree" with my assertions? i can only imagine that you want to drag me into some kind of back and forth.

I'm not pro APC but pro Human i like seeing logic in things + I hate partisan politics, it clouds the purity of thoughts and makes interlectuals look stupid because you cant tell which opinion is honest and which one is polically motivated.

And you now mentioned Dino huh
