Why don't you consider buying a new property already rather than building from scratch 🤔
Dangerous. Too much compromise on standards occur. Nothing is more painful than buying a house and after 1 year, rising damp hits the walls.

15 Million will do that perfectly well.

A man in my area used 12 million to build a good bungalow, more beautiful than the one OP attached to his photo.

All those crazy people shouting 50M are thieves. Buy the materials yourself and don't allow the engineer to do it.

I would have shown a photo, but the man wouldn't like to see his house online because he is a Military person.

Make una just dey mumu for nairaland. Learn and stop arguing and quoting me.

We are talking about Three bedrooms here and not 5 bedrooms.

If a trip of sand is 180k, filling 3 rooms a parlor and a kitchen and bathrooms would take let's say 6 tippers of sand = 1.8 M

Then the rods should take 2.5M for foundation.

Casting it + cement + granite should be 4 M

Blocks can be 800k

The ceiling and roofing should be 2.5M since it's 3 bedroom

Windows and doors should be 1.5M ( 3 doors 3 rooms, kitchen, and toilet and bathroom + entrance) making 6 doors= 600k windows and the rest 600k
Workmanship 1.5M

Is the building not set already?

The OP never specifies internal decoration, just building.

No wonder many people fail exams.
No electricals, no plumbing, no tiling.

Surely you have not priced roofing sheets recently.

Happy new year guys! May this year be a good year for us!
Pls experienced poultry owners or expertise in poultry farm specially broilers I want to go into broilers rearing and would like those into the business to educate me on how to go about though I would be starting on a low key budget.my questions are:
Is there a way to identify a better breeds or best
How do you cut cost of feeding? I have seen people use maize chaff to support feeding or do will have other stuff
Are there some feeds of higher quality than others
When you pick day old chickens and you find out that some few grow faster than others do you separate them for more feeding like fish farmers do
What are the causes of a healthy fowl you saw some few hours we die in numbers without sign of sickness
Is 4weeks or 8 weeks timing for selling ;which one is better
Can someone who want organic feeds succeed because I heard there are chemical or artificial addictives that makes them fat heavily
Do your have a cheaper way of neutralizing poultry odours
Thanks guys you contributions is needed let's hit the ground running.
If you can pay for the training, I can take you up when I am back in Nigeria in February. The first cohort in my farm will be kicking off then. There are a lot of things you will not find out anywhere except you have been in this business like myself.

Anyone who tells you it is not profitable does not know what he is saying. They are doing it like others.
A food chain always has a lot of people under, and very few at the top.

Those under never know what those at the top know. You need to know what they know so you can join them at the top.

Hi guys...

So I got a job in Saudi Arabia as a heavy duty equipment electrician 2years contract but renewable but am very scared to make the move cox of the fear of the unknown...

Firstly I work with a reputable company here in Nigeria in the maritime sector as a FTE and I get approximately 400k monthly and I am being offered a salary of 3500sr(1.3m) for the Saudi Arabia job. I will only visit my country once in a year, am not married and am 33, n pressure of marriage dey my neck.

Though accomodation and flight expenses will be catered for by the company but I don't know if it's really worth taking the move though I don't know the cost of living in saudi Arabia.... I don't know if you have a saudi Arabia experience.. please I need your inputs...

Thank you very much
Make that move. One of my relations did it. He is now the richest in our family.

Dashed me $2000 recently. That should tell you his levels. DASH..not lent. It was my house he stayed to collect his work visa from the Saudi embassy (already done by the company) abd to take his flight out of Naija.

Forget that 400k crap work you are slaving for.

Your Saudi stint will change your CV forever. Your life will not remain the same ever.

The US Dollar is not the legal tender in Nigeria and is not our standard. It only matters if you have dealings abroad, in which case you have to deal with the conversion.

There are loads of millionaires in Nigeria who have no business with foreign countries and they are living the life in Nigeria.

What do you need really?

House to live in, with all accessories such as solar power (I know people with 10 KVA solar systems that power everything).
3 cars for you, wifey and a spare.
Businesses and investments that grow year-on-year.
Access to premium medical facilities (many great facilities are already in the country).

This is the typical situation of any graduate of American universities who make the mistake of using student loans to go to university:

https://youtube.com/shorts/gZHy1_Pumqs?si=lLT_HPfzRIdfnQtf

Some professionals have been paying student loans for 20 years plus. In which planet does the average person in the US make and retain $600K? Less than 1% will ever achieve that.

If you have working business and side hustle as a citizen in America, you can make that within 2 to 3years
Lies!

Nearly HALF of Americans have less than $500 in their savings accounts.
27% of Americans have less than $500 in their checking accounts.

45% of Americans cannot afford to use money in their bank accounts to pay for a $400 expense. Na credit cards all the way!

White Americans have a median cash balance of $12,000 (cash at hand), six times more than Blacks or Hispanics.

Forget all this garbage you people love to put online to deceive people with no monetizable skills to japa. What they have learnt with false information, they are unlearning with hardcore experience.

LIES UPON LIES!

$600K indeed! Americans are so coked up in debt, you would hardly believe your ears when you listen to some stories of people smiling on the outside.

She does not know.

UK has a long history of building wealth from what they have taken and stolen from colonies for centuries.
They are still taking....

they bring a language to a region, and still ask people coming to study to pay money to prove they can speak the imported language.

I wish we still had people like Captain Demuren. When the UK govt tried that 3,500-pounds bond nonsense, he stepped up and cut off landing rights for BA. Within one week, the UK came back to beg.

LOS to LHR route is rubbing shoulders with LHR to JFK as the most lucrative route for BA in the world. Without LOS to LHR flight route, BA would take a huge financial hit.

Nobody should bring UK close to us here and start these useless comparisons. Those guys have profited from Nigeria big time.

Hello 🤩 everyone...
It's been a while here... I was banned some time ago and got used to staying off nairaland
After vacation, I travelled to my hometown to spend the holiday season with my family..
My mom is a business woman, she sells mostly farm produce i.e they buy directly from the farm and sell at the market
Two days ago, she came back from the market with this huge bunch of plantain
She asked me to guess the price, and I told her that where I am coming from, you cannot get this less than 7k to 8k
But she told me, she got it for 3000 and ll resell 3500
But why, I asked, she said she doesn't like placing much profit on her goods, because if she sells at a huge profit margin, the final consumer ll suffer for it
Most times, her customers are from ibadan and lagos
Most times, they buy at very cheap price and sell high
I wish we can all emulate her goodness, the world would have been a better place to be
May God bless her and put barka in her business
Consider taking these for sale in Lagos or Abuja. In Wuse market you cannot buy 70 pieces of plantain for N20,000. I kid you not.

Somebody will dash you £100 in America? Dey Play.
Don't mind the guy. After I placed an online order from a supermarket in Barbados, I was charged $10 handling fee. I was livid.

The truck driver who did the delivery said the $10 is for the supermarket worker who took a basket and picked the items from the shelves to make up my order. The driver now said...you must be a Nigerian. I said yes and he smiled. That it is usually Nigerians who usually inquire about that handling charge as it is not a norm where we come from. We both laughed it off and shook hands and he left.

But I was left with a very serious message: nothing is free in the white man's land.

So when the guy said an American will dash out $100, I just laughed. He has not been initiated.

.This policy was not well thought out.

I would have preferred for multinationals and conglomerates to provide some of the funding, so that those they fund can come on board to work, pay off the loans to NELFUND with their salaries, and NELFUND reimburses these companies with a small interest. NELFUND can invest in low-risk channels like the local bonds market.

Where does NELFUND expect students to pay these loans from within 5 years? Even the medical and engineering courses...how much do these graduates earn in the first 5 years post-grad?

jesusjnr2020:
I don't think I need to add much to what Bishop Abioye said in the video because his preaching here sounds so much like mine, he seemed to have taken the words right out of my mouth.

I won't be surprised though if some were naive enough to accuse me of being the actual voice behind that preaching but editing it to make it seem as though it was Bishop Abioye, because this is the same thing i've been saying here since I began preaching in this forum several years ago, about the misplaced priorities of the church leaders, including the respect of church buildings, I even recently said this about David Oyedepo in a recent thread.

But many ignorant Christians especially his church members, have accused me of being used by the devil to attack the church and divide Christianity with such preaching.

So what do they think of David Abioye saying just about the same thing of church leaders and it's pretty obvious the number 1 person he's referring to.

Do they also think the devil is now using him to attack the church and divide Christianity?

Remember this is the former right-hand man of David Oyedepo and the closest man to him for many years. The same man who was there with Oyedepo when he started the church, and his second in command and most expected successor, until he was forcefully retired from the church by Oyedepo.

God bless.
