There are too many deranged characters in this world. |
immortalcrown:Mr man, God can put a man or woman in a position. But what the individual decides to do with what God has given to the person decides what happens. There was a Daniel who was a non-indigene slave who held on to God and served in three administrations in the land of Babylon, and it was written of him that no one could find any kind of fault in him because he had an excellent spirit and he feared God. Those who claim to be Christians and think they can use the anointing of God, or their closeness to the men of God to justify their hidden evil deeds will be exposed and disgraced. Betta Edu thought it is by coming to Shiloh to give testimony that she will gain acclaim. God is not mocked and can never be mocked. The bible says that he that gives unto the poor lendeth unto the Lord. God has a special place for the poor in his heart. Those who fake programs and projects to steal from the poor never end well. Betta Edu and her people in that ministry were stealing from the poor. God is no respecter of persons. Bishop Oyedepo is a man of God, but he is not God. God is the ultimate judge. |
OvertheTop:What he described is what he makes from business and hustle. Nobody pays N4.5m as monthly SALARY in Abuja anywhere. Quote me well. After all, when National Assembly Commission workers were being owed some years back, several of them were doing corporate begging. These are people that work with those senators earning fat pay. Their politician ogas no even fit empower them. |
Those ones at Lugbe have turned the place into a complete eyesore. Please pack them out. Many have no single disability. Give them farm work or put them on construction sites, and their eyes will just be looking for what to steal. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eY5Qv8KBMGc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9skluxCPyEQ |
Fortune109:Ha nooo. Their guards will just be dancing away. |
beejay85:Did you listen to the curse the OFM pastor placed on them? It was too much. That kind of curse can make a man beg for death and it will not come because of too much suffering. |
They should make a movie of their lives. At the beginning, they should put up this prologue: "What you are about to watch is real, and the events based on historical facts..." It would be a 2025 bestseller. |
Some walkie talkie brands cost N800k a piece. |
Make this man no die for prison ooo... |
Bagudu now has mouth to talk after all these years of his name constantly coming up in connection with Abacha's loot. |
epainos:We are now there officially. Agrited is N1730 |
In 15 years? I would be approaching my 70s. Thanks but no thanks. |
Bluebible:We are not slaves to the Americans. He does not need to do shit. |
They need to pull the players out and from henceforth, Nigerian teams should stop honouring any matches featuring North African teams. Iwuanyanwu Nationale were put in this situation in 1994. The team went to Tunisia to play Esperance. The plane was supposed to leave Tunisia around midnight. After boarding the aircraft at midnight, they were delayed by airport shenanigans for three hours over airport parking fees. This delay meant that when they took off to refuel in Algeria, the aircraft met bad weather and were not given permission to land for over two hours until they were forced to crash-land with near-complete fuel exhaustion. Goalkeeper Uche Ikeogu, the pilots and several others died. Have we forgotten so soon? |
Allocsoluwatosi:Is it cow dung that layers eat? Feed costs have quadrupled since June 2023 |
Advision:What is the cost of feed now compared to 10 years ago? |
HedgesTV:Borrow money to defend the currency. Imagine! |
Love800:Just know this. If you are serious about growing your own food, you will feed your family comfortably. Nothing concern you with market costs. Let your wife or fiancee learn to sew. She will easily keep your kids smartly dressed with materials bought from the market. Your only headache will be rent and transport. I grew up walking to and from school. Kids these days are too pampered. |
Very easy. Prepare your soil with chicken poo. Apply the poo by broadcast and leave it for 3 weeks. Then get people to do broad ridges for you. Get foundation seeds from the market or buy from companies like Technisem. Dig holes on both sides of your ridges and drop two seeds in each hole. That's it. You can also use nursery trays to ensure total germination. Transplant at two weeks. You can also plant in sacks. We eat some, and leave others to dry so we get our next generation of seeds. You can also see my corn harvested this year. Sold to a donor for use to produce corn flour for an orphanage.

skywalker240:The guy above you called me a clown. Let me open your eyes because you show more intelligence than he does. Everyone has opportunity. Many cannot see it when it comes. Nobody dashed me land. God opened my eyes to how men waste money on drink and women in Nigeria. I had a friend who blew N2m in two days of clubbing in 2011. Just thirteen years back. If you want to get the perspective, I will use just 10% of that money, N200,000, to do a calculation. N200,000 got a piece of land in an estate the same year. Today, that same land is N10m. We bought land in an area of Lekki close to Dangote refinery in 2018 or thereabout for less than N1m. I leave you to check the value of that property today. Now let me break down how N200,000 in 2011 would have been consumed pursuing worldly pleasures. You go to a club and order drinks. Most in Abuja have a minimum spending benchmark for entry. Let us say N20,000. You pick up one of those daughters of eve. She is with a friend or two. You invite them over. They also will take drinks. You want to impress. You order drinks for all and go another round. It carries on from 10pm to 1am. By the time you are done, you are down N50,000. You decide it is time to make a move. You negotiate N20,000 or N30,000 for her to spend the night. If you have crazier desires, you take two and negotiate for N50,000 for two. N100,000 down already. You need a venue. You pick a hotel for N10,000 to N20,000. Remember, we are using 2014 prices. N120,000 don go. You like what you got. You decide to order breakfast. You are probably down another N10,000. She may ask for transport. You can drop N5,000 or N10,000. You have blown N130,000 in an overnight spend. Do it twice a week, and your N200,000 is not only gone, but needs augmentation. I know people who have made this their regular lifestyle. I do not want to use prices of exotic places like Transcorp, where as at 2010, you needed $50 (yes, in US Dollars) as the minimum entry to enter the casino. I was in Transcorp that month GEJ was sworn in. Mama Peace was to be hosted there. Almost the who is who in Naija was around and the place was like a mad house. Come and see women of all shapes and sizes in all specs...including whites and arabs. Now imagine a young man who wants to fit into this category of people and imagine the kind of spending you need to do on top of nothing. I saw a lot of "fake-it-till-you-make-it" in action. Buhari's coming reset many of those people to factory default. It was a long time ago I made up my mind that drinking and womanizing was not a pathway to enter if you are to make anything. I saw Naija's situation of today as far back as 2014 by divine revelation and everything I have done since then prepared me for it. Today, I am insulated. The kind of planning and work it takes to get to that point as an average guy with no family inheritance and average earnings is not something you just do on a hunch. It is not luck. It is not coincidence. It is a function of working with God Almighty to prepare you for the economic holocaust that is sweeping the earth. Just that bad governance and corruption has taken Naija's own to another level. |
Love800:Yes I do. My poultry manure sale in January this year covered 2 months salary of my workers. |
Eniitankorede:Average selling price in Nigeria's neighbours is between N1,700 and N2,000. Price is not the check here. The only check here is that all tankers must have trackers installed on them to ensure they do not leave approved routes and that they must have adequate documentation. |
Addme:He is not the first Bishop to retire from Winners. The age has always been set at 60 years. The moment he was moved from LFC Goshen to do a global missionary oversight function in 2022 and from there to Lokogoma, we knew his time had come. Nothing shocking about it. |
Acidosis:Why bother to answer that fellow? You can clearly see one thing: a) Most Nigerians exhibit a startling level of ignorance about SO MANY THINGS. How can someone not even know the legal requirements of registering an entity such as a church? b) People throw comments about matters where they do not have the facts, and they are so confident in their ignorance. c) Most do not understand how society even operates. That is why their political leaders can kick them around so much, as they do not know their rights under the constitution. |
CaptainZubi:If you even had a little bit of commonsense to do some research, you would know that Bishop Oyedepo has 4 children, 2 of whom are males: - 40-year old David Jnr who was in the London church before recalled to Ota. - Isaac who used to pastor the Lokogoma branch where Bishop Abioye is retiring from, before he was posted to the US, then back to Ota before setting up his own youth ministry. Who is the ignorant one? You just typify the average Nigerian: uneducated even though they went through school, and without the ability to do any kind of reading or research to simply gather facts on a matter. That's why politicians keep on kicking you all around like a rugby ball. |
zebszebs:Who think sey na only im no dey craze but na other people dey craze, na im wey dey craze true true. |
CaptainZubi:You see? Another comment that comes from total ignorance. |
Aksally:Guy, I have been in churches since 1983. I have been around and seen all sorts. The emphasis of my post was not on the success of those workers...I barely gave that one sentence each. I focused on the service they did...you conveniently neglected that aspect. If you think it is easy, get that involved while still running your life, work, business and family. You will see that it is not for children or for the mockers and children of hate all over Nairaland. If you think I worship men, I will tell you that you do not know me. You don't know me and I don't know you. But I know your type and I want nothing to do with them. |
SUNNINO:Come and unwash it naaa...nonsense. |
Objectivist04:I do not expect you to understand, but I will try to explain. You can choose to throw what I have said away, fine. But I will say it. This is the first set of generational change in Winners. The present crop of young ministers are in their 40s. It makes a lot of sense to still have the old guard (who are between 63 years and 70 years) to still be in the background providing guidance. If there is a misstep anywhere, there is room for correction. Someone like Bishop Abioye has been there from the beginning: since 1981. FORTY-FOUR YEARS. For goodness sake, do you want them still preaching at 90 years like Bishop Frederick KC Price, or at 80 years like Charles Stanley? Many of the vice presidents of Living Faith, the ones in charge of local missions, foreign missions, WSF, etc, are all at the retirement age or close to it. By making the leadership now a maximum of 14 years in tenure, those who take over the leaders who are currently in their 40s, will be close to 58 (if not already at 58) by the time 14 years is over. Then a new set takes over. That is how you put a system in place to avoid the kind of succession chaos that almost took over Benson Idahosa's church, Synagogue when TB Joshua died, and SBJ Oschoffa's Celestial church when he died in 1985. Look at the secular world where you have leaders like Paul Biya who is 90 years. No plan for succession. If he goes, who takes over? Who provides guidance to the younger rulers? Look at Dangote. He is now 67 years. He has realized age is no longer on his side. He has brought in his daughter and she is now part of the team. He is still there providing guidance. When he is out of the scene totally, she would have found her feet totally. True leaders put in place proper succession structures so there is no chaos when they are gone. Winners has a clearly spelt out process in the constitution of the church, THE MANDATE. Sadly, many so-called members of the church have never even read it. |
Aksally:I am not a member. I am a true Winner and a disciple. Served as unit head in a foreign mission as well. Was part of those who built one of the new churches that started in 2017 and now a blossoming branch. There are loads of guys who worked with us who gave their sweat and blood for the ministry. Mike, who worked in a block industry for months to purchase equipment with his own money. Now an owner of several block industries and at least 2 houses. Oluwa, who furnished the whole church with her money. A retired Naija soldier who used to walk the streets evangelizing Tuesdays and Thursdays. There are many I cannot count, including those who rehabbed many Naija Yahoo boys and runs girls who were languishing in prison. These are the real people who put in their effort to ensure that God's Word was heard through that young Winners satellite church with tangible proofs. Their lives have all changed for the better. These people are people I worked with and I salute them. When I left that country to Barbados, I cried. These are the real Winners, not those who claim they are members. I have nothing to do with people who claim to be "members" but who have probably never even read The Mandate. You are a rebel. Like Korah, you will perish except you repent. I have nothing to do with people like you or anyone else who is a winner by sticker, not a Winner at heart. Church is a mixed multitude. There are many MEMBERS, but very few DISCIPLES. |
Aksally:Just talking anyhow. The rules are clear in the church's constitution known as the Mandate. Even Papa Oyedepo, having reached the age of 70 years, will exit the scene as the overall head. He will be in a supervisory role. Adeboye did same in Redeemed some years back. Many pastors who headed regional offices of the church like Titus Olayemi Oludairo have retired since. The leadership is now tenured. |
