This must have been a clear case of "do you know who I am?"
I pass military checkpoints on the way to my farm at least three times a week. Not once have I had any altercation with them and this is nearly 10 years and counting.
You respect them, they respect you. In fact, military men are more prone to show you respect once they see you in your car looking responsible, until you start to disrespect them and do and talk anyhow.
Then they will show you that after God, na government and na them be government for road. |

Esude007: I started noticing monkeys around the farm...
Our dog killed 1... So we need to start preparing bfor they invade
Monkeys are pest in maize farming, so to get rid of monkeys, below is a very good trick.
Go to the market and get Ori( Shea butter) and unadulterated powdered pepper.
Place the Shea butter on fire so that it will melt, then pour the powdered pepper and stir.
Rub all the maize cob around the farm.
Monkeys are known to be body scratchers, they will touch the maize laced with sticky pepper abd scratch their eye, prick and body ..
U go see the way they go swear for u come live your farm in peace.... One year an entire troop of monkeys invaded our village and they wrecked absolute havoc. |

okoroemeka: just the picture is enough for a farmer with 30 yrs experience, that seedlings is not more than 40 days old and the leaves are barely more than 30cm away from each other,it is ok if it is bell pepper due to their smaller non branching size, but for habanero,it will be a very tight spacing,I am just saying from experience,we are currently seeing such problems at a similar client farm in owerri, they followed goggle farm recommendation of 50cm by 60cm spacing it was a disaster Well there is room for learning by experience. Maybe he can discover something that will add to the body of knowledge. I have personally done experiments with maize that have provided me with a protocol that is not in any textbook or online resource. I am also learning here. |

Why not allow the OP tell you what spacing he used before you immediately conclude just by looking at the picture that the spacing is not optimal? |

Coronavirus1: Solving Nigeria's economic problems requires a multifaceted approach. Here are ten potential solutions:
1. **Diversification of the Economy**: Reduce dependency on oil by investing in other sectors like agriculture, manufacturing, and technology.
2. **Education and Skill Development**: Improve education to equip the workforce with skills needed in modern industries, fostering innovation and entrepreneurship.
3. **Infrastructure Development**: Invest in infrastructure such as roads, electricity, and telecommunications to support business growth and attract foreign investment.
4. **Tackling Corruption**: Strengthen anti-corruption agencies, enforce laws, and promote transparency in government spending and contracts.
5. **Support for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs)**: Provide access to credit, training, and market opportunities to support the growth of SMEs, which are crucial for job creation.
6. **Improve Agricultural Practices**: Modernize agriculture through the use of technology, better seeds, and farming methods to increase productivity and food security.
7. **Monetary and Fiscal Policies**: Implement sound monetary policies to control inflation and ensure stable exchange rates while maintaining responsible fiscal policies to manage debt.
8. **Attract Foreign Investment**: Create a stable political and economic environment, simplify regulations, and provide incentives to attract foreign investors.
9. **Health Sector Improvement**: Enhance healthcare delivery to reduce disease burden, improve worker productivity, and attract medical tourism.
10. **Regional Integration and Trade**: Engage more actively in regional trade agreements within Africa to open up new markets for Nigerian goods and services.
These solutions would require strong leadership, political will, and collaboration between government, private sector, and civil society. ChatGPT copy and paste...we see you! |
Travel › Re: How Much Is Enough To Relocate From Nigeria To Ghana by stagger: 4:45pm On Aug 20, 2024 |
SlavaUkraini: @ OP
Let me advise you as someone that lived in Ghana for 10+ years
Stay in Nigeria and do not relocate to Ghana.
If you relocate to Ghana, you will regret it...
1... Majority of Ghanaians do not fancy Nigerians...
2... They are envious and not happy when a Nigerian is doing well in their country....
3.... Not to talk of the issues you would have with the Ghanian immigration officials that are hunting for Nigerians and looking for ways to collect money from "Omo Naija" (Whether your resident permit is updated or not)
4.... Another problem you will encounter is the language barrier.... Ghana is not an entirely English speaking country...
When you get there, your hears go ear word...
If you cannot speak Asante Twi, you will be amongst men, most miserable 😖😖😖
Asante Twi is one of the major languages in Ghana that is spoken often in their major cities and towns.
If you can speak that language, then you will be mistaken for a Ghanian and even deny that you are a Nigerian and you will be believed.
5.... What about Ghana Police ?
Bro as soon as they are aware that a Nigerian is living in any neighborhood, you are a target for easy and frequent extortion whether you are a Yahoo boy or not.
And if there is any robbery or criminal activity in that your neighbourhood, they will see you as a potential suspect...
Don't let anyone deceive. Nigerians are not living freely in Ghana the way Ghanians are living freely in Nigeria...
Nigerian shops are Still locked up 🔒🔒🔐 In some of the markets and business districts in Ghana out of Jealousy and their fear of Nigerians taking over their businesses
Ghana is not where I would advise a Nigerian to relocate to.
If you must relocate, Go to America or Canada.
A lot of this is true. But it depends on how you carry yourself. I was never stopped by Ghana police for anything. Only greeting that they greet me when I am jogging in the morning and passing those their 2 cedis extortionist checkpoints set up for Tro tro. You better make sure you have earnings online or outside Ghana or you will be hard pressed making money there. Those guys hate Nigerian retailers with a passion. You are better off not even going there. Their economy is not doing well. The average Ghanaian is as criminally-minded as the average Naija. Only say Naija guys get liver dey do their own. Their police is just as bad. I witnessed them extort my guy 1,000 cedis for driving without license. |

When we tell foolish people that religion whether Christianity or Islam or whatever religion for that matter has nothing to do with good morals, they call you all sorts of names.
Humans are naturally selfish and greedy. It's the same in all countries of the world bar none.
If you tell the equally useless government to stop funding religion from tax payers money, they don't listen.
What makes for a saner society is the punishment that comes with crimes committed.
If the consequences of stealing far outweighs the act itself, it will discourage lots of people from stealing. See China for example. They are advanced because they took the above seriously.
We will never escape the level of decadence in Nigeria if we continue doing the same shiit over and over and expect a different result.
RELIGION CAN NEVER SAVE MANKIND.
There's so much evil hiding behind it.
What is wrong with us as a people?
Spits. Let everyone who proclaims the Name of the Lord depart from iniquity. The onus is on the adherents to do the right thing. God does not force people to do the right thing. He has left us to decide what we want to do. If you choose evil, no matter how many times you attend church/mosque or do pilgrimage, you will end up in damnation. If you do right, then you will receive the heavenly eternal rewards. |

The reason for asking is that a relative planted 15 acres of cassava and corn 3 weeks ago just lost everything to the herdsmen issue. As long as the stems were not damaged and are still in the soil, they are fine. They will resprout with adequate rain. Even if they are uprooted, as long as the stems have nodes, they can be replanted and still germinate. |
