OBASEKI appears to be too Vindictive and Petty, to say the least.
I can't see PDP retaining Edo state after the expiration of his tenure. He isn't a unifier.
But why such number of cars for one person? Nawao.
Someone should pls help me with something, the hunger no be here I swear. Hunger is worse than cancer. 81-31-50-507-5 Opay God bless
Tell the Edo deputy governor to give you money, since you think it is vindictive to retrieve government property from a man who has lost that position and is therefore not in government anymore. Nigerians just love supporting evil.
NoFoodToCook: Nigerians abroad, PLEASE kindly help your fellow Nigerians back home. The situation in the country right now is so bad that the majority of Nigerians cannot even afford one square meal. I'm not talking about a proper square meal. I'm talking about anything to hold their stomach, they can't afford.
Parents are becoming suicidal and children are dying already.
If you watch the woman in this video, you will understand what most Nigerians are going through including myself.
Yesterday, I ate food that even the dogs of some people cannot eat. Dogs of the rich now eat better food than some Nigerians.
Please and please again, I know it's not easy anywhere but it's really bad back in Nigeria. Help Nigerians whether you know the person personally or not. We are dying. Hunger is killing us. Families are selling kids to feed others. Most of us didn't vote for Tinubu, but here we find ourselves.
Watch this woman and see the frustration in the land.
HORLADY: Aikhomu was not a full Admiral. He was a Vice-Admiral
Oga, IBB promoted all the service chiefs (Abacha, Aikhomu, and Alfa) to the rank of 4-star generals in October 1987, which made Aikhomu a full Admiral.
They hate work. As I dey now, I have boat loads of work in my farm that needs workers. But they are not faithful. They steal, they are lazy, and do not know anything else but begging.
In case you forget, they are the ones that delivered the Kim Kardashian states for PMB and put Nigeria on the path to the precipice.
Obainoman6: it's normal thing na, normally the poor should obtain from the rich in order to get rich. life is all about kill, steal and dominate. There's nothing wrong in what that driver did period! how much are they paying him and is it enough? Nigerian employers like to abuse and exploit their workers too
debbiebianca2: “Money Nah Water” Davido Billionaire Friend Gumbo Sprayed Him $100,000 Dollars
David Adeleke wedding yesterday was seen as the best held in Nigeria and Africa at large as a lot of dignitaries were in attendance yesterday.
Davido’s American billionaire friend Karim Butler popularly known as Gumbo was captured spraying Davido and Chioma hundreds of dollars when calculated worth over $100,000 dollars.
Emma09: Seeing this video earlier today I made a statement on it which I am repeating here again. This is the statement. I concluded that the number of Nigerians that would make heaven might not even get to 100, I don't even know if I would be amongst the 100 sef. In fact let me add to it that 98% of Nigerians would definitely go to hell. Me sed no know if I would be amongst the 98%.
This is why I cannot fathom how uniformed personnel will be teargassing and shooting protesters who are demanding for nothing but the common good of everyone and will be defending the oppressors.
The same way soldiers shot hundreds of ENDSARS protesters. Only for me to hear recently that warrant officers are still collecting as low as N90,000 a month! As in, really?
Please I really need your advice on how to go about this matter that is really eating me up. We went on a normal date with my girl whom I have proposed marriage to and she accepted it. But in recent time I have been telling her to come and see my parent but was like we are not yet ready, I don't understand it.
Today we went out and she opened up and started telling me areas of my life which she's not really comfortable with and I should improve on them. When she was done she said she needs us to slow things down for now.
I don't really know how to go about this right now. Please I really need your advice on it. I really love this girl and wants to settle down with her. We broke before and reconcile after two years, and we been back for like 6 months now.
Please no insult or curse. Please I need your advice.
Oga, you have neglected to point out or work on your character weaknesses she has noticed. Why did you neglect to tell us this part?
First of all, many things we pray for here are already covered by the systems that are in place abroad. Abroad, the scripture which tells us that God's Divine Power has already provided everything we require for life and godliness (2 Peter 1 v 3) has already been fulfilled in practical terms. Working justice systems, electricity, water, functioning hospitals, infrastructure, transportation systems, etc are already in place.
These are things people are still praying for in 3rd world countries, whereas prayer should really be to enhance our spiritual wellbeing and to commune with God, not necessarily praying about things that God-given human intellect has already dealt with in saner climes.
Also, whether we like it or not, the coming of the white man to Africa brought education and opportunity to us. If you are working abroad, or working remotely like me, we owe those opportunities to the white man.
Imagine the minimum wage of a professional footballer in the NPFL is N250,000. That is $161 a month! Even a player in Vietnam earns three times this amount. VIETNAM OOO. Not China where the lowest salary in the CFL is $1500 a month. Even footballers in Afghanistan are paid $300 a month.
You see how backward we are and why people are always praying (mostly about material stuff) so their lives can get upliftment via divine intervention?
Prayer and the worship of God is PRIMARILY for our spiritual edification. God placed Adam in a garden that had everything at that time, yet still came down to have communion and fellowship with him in the cool of the day. A man without a belief system built around prayer and fellowship with God, is like a man that is naked and does not know he is naked and exposed. Only when an attack comes will he realize too late, that he is exposed.
MasterTeeUSA: Very true...let me give you an example
The cost to stay in a UK hotel for 3 days = 300 pounds = $375 = N540,000
You will pay the same to stay in an AirBnB in Ibadan for 5.5 weeks.
3 days vs 38 days...Sadly not everyone can japa to enjoy Nigeria even those in that UK or US. Savings are hard to come by but those retired are milking it o. They have paid off mortgages abroad and finished building in Nigeria...collecting monthly retirement in forex.
Oga, get a skill and offer it to companies abroad while living in Naija. You will have the best of both worlds.
lovelyJubbly: GMO stands for “genetically modified organism.” It most commonly refers to organisms—often plants—that have been modified to achieve desired traits, like drought-tolerance and pest-resistance, using recombinant DNA techniques or genetic engineering (GE). It’s a misleading term, since we’ve been modifying the genetics of organisms since the dawn of agriculture. But the name isn’t the only thing that people get wrong.
Myth: Farmers can’t save GMO seeds. Reality: It is true that patented GMO seeds are often protected by intellectual property rules, meaning farmers must pledge not to save them and replant. Monsanto says it has sued about 150 farmers who it claims broke these rules over the past 20 years. However, hybrid seeds, which have been around for decades, also need to be purchased each season because they don’t breed true, so this is not a new issue for many farmers. In both cases, farmers choose to purchase these seeds because they get a better yield and make more money. In addition, in many public sector projects, such as the virus-resistant papaya in Hawaii, insect-resistant eggplant in Bangladesh, and drought-tolerant Water Efficient Maize for Africa, farmers are free to save and share GMO seeds and no royalties are charged.
Myth: GMOs are a corporate plot to control developing nations and the world’s food supply. Reality: Developing nations are increasingly choosing GMOs, and for the fourth year in a row, devoted more hectares to growing biotech crops than developed nations. Farmers in these countries choose biotech because these crops have helped to alleviate hunger by increasing incomes for 18 million small-holder farm families, bringing financial stability to more than 65 million people in developing nations. This technology should not bypass the poor, who are arguably those who stand to benefit most.
Myth: GMOs are a ploy by agrichemical corporations to sell more pesticides/herbicides. Reality: Some GMO crops—such as Roundup Ready—can tolerate applications of herbicides, a trait that reduces the need for hand weeding or mechanical cultivation, which disturbs the soil. People sometimes imagine that GMOs use more insecticides, but the reverse is true with GMO crops that are bred with a natural form of insect-resistance, thus minimizing or eliminating the need to spray pesticides for crop protection. Overall, scientists say GMOs have reduced the use of chemical pesticides—both herbicides and insecticides—by 37%. (Qaim et al. 2014).
Myth: GMOs are used only in industrial, chemical-intensive agriculture. Reality: The technology of genetic engineering can be used in multiple ways, including reducing pesticides. Today many GMO crops are being bred in developing countries by public sector scientists who are working to improve the nutritional content and viability of staple food crops key to their region, such as cassava, pulses, mustard, brinjal, potatoes, rice, and bananas. Small-holder farmers typically grow these crops to feed their families.
Myth: GMOs are not adequately tested Reality: Governments everywhere employ strict biosafety protocols to ensure that any new GM product poses no threat to human or animal health, or the environment. These protocols include laboratory and field tests that may span many years. The resulting plants and foods are far more thoroughly tested than their conventional counterparts. Hundreds of scientific papers have assessed the safety of GM crops, and the vast majority found they are nutritionally equivalent to their conventional counterparts.
Myth: GMOs are harmful to the environment. Reality: Farmers who grow GMO commodity crops, like soy and corn, do less tilling, which reduces topsoil loss, erosion, and the associated runoff of fertilizer. They also can cultivate pest-resistant GMO crops, like Bt cotton, corn, and eggplant, with far fewer applications of pesticides, which benefits human and environmental health. Agriculture and its associated land use accounts for over a quarter of all global greenhouse gas emissions. On average, GE crops have reduced chemical pesticide use by 37%, increased crop yields by 22%, and increased farmer profits by 68%. GE crops also have reduced CO2 emissions (mostly through enabling no-till farming practices) by 27 billion kg—equivalent to taking 12 million cars off the road (Qaim et al. 2014).
Myth: GMOs are unhealthy. Reality: GMO foods have a long, safe track record during their more than 20 years on the market. The prestigious National Academies of Science agrees with US regulatory agencies, scientists, and leading health associations worldwide that food grown from GM crops is safe to eat, and no riskier than consuming the same foods containing ingredients from crop plants modified by conventional plant breeding techniques. Banning GMOs results in negative health consequences because farmers would be forced to go back to using older, more toxic pesticides and access to food is more limited.
Myth: GMOs are unnatural. Reality: Humans have been selectively breeding plants and animals for countless millennia, so all domesticated plant species—and even your pet dogs and cats—are technically genetically modified. Genetic engineering replicates a process that has been occurring in nature for millions of years as bacteria and viruses regularly shuttle genes between different species.
Myth: Organics are safer than GMOs. Reality: Organic farming is a cultivation method, and GMOs are a breeding method, so it’s like comparing apples and oranges. Additionally, organic growers are allowed to use certain types of pesticides, so some GMOs could claim to be safer than organics. An example might be a GM blight-resistant potato, which does not need toxic substances like copper sulfate or other fungicides often used to control blight in organic farming. Ideally, genetic modification would be used to improve organic farming.
Myth: GMOs won’t feed the world. Reality: No one plant breeding or agricultural system can or will feed 9 billion people in a sustainable manner. There is no “silver bullet.”We need everything to help contribute to this goal: conventional, organic, biotech, small-holder, large-scale, as well as better distribution and storage systems, and less food waste, too.
Truly you are one of those the bible says have eyes, but cannot see. Have ears that are dull of hearing, and simply cannot perceive.
Go and find out who the largest land owners in the US are.
In case you don't know, the Cambodian government has given out two-thirds of the country's arable land to...you may have guessed...a Chinese corporation.
Do you know that in China now, farmers are being prevented from planting certain types of crops and must plant what the government tells them to plant or risk having their land seized?
Maybe you have not been following the riots and protests by diary farmers across Europe. Go find out why they are protesting.
I once tried out planting foundation maize, DK maize variety and the one known as SC (you should know who produces the last two). The yield from foundation maize beat the other two hands down after being subjected to a most adverse rainfall pattern that year, with loads of pest invasion amid NPK and urea fertilization. That was the year I swore to stick with OPV and foundation maize and ran away from these exotic brands.
I just hope you are not one of those who will realize too late what is going on.
Brendaniel: That simply tells you the amount used in running governance in Nigeria....
If all the things Charly Boy listed are all paid from government coffers for just one government office holder...
Now travel to Europe and you will find out that most prime ministers there don't get up to quarter of the luxury listed here for someone who is not even the president, but the same president here will be begging the prime minister over there for loan
He can but will he?
Are you trying to say he wasn't enjoying it?
So you are trying to tell us that spending government money is like spending free money?
And it should be used without pity and pity his own?
Guy, money wey you work for and the one wey u dey get free of charge, no be the same o.
ruffhandu: Thanks. No 1 is handled already. My wife is very supportive of my decisions as per my carear, but that no.2 i have only thought of as a prank. För no.3, na my assertiveness dey cause quarell many times, I need advice on exactly how to do it without causing so much friktion.
It must cause quarrel, but her head will cool down.
iduu: I am sure una never build house anywhere come dey spend money like this, make you no pray you loose your Job sorry will be your name. [Kquote author=ruffhandu post=130527858]Hello people, Please I need some advice. We live in PH, and have 4 kids. The oldest is 10 while the youngest is 6. I give my wife 700k every month, and this includes general upkeep and maintenace and fuelling of our car (Lexus 330). I don't drive the car (I dey leg, while she uses it to run around, which includes school runs and her business).
I no dey chuk eye for her business. Bu I am getting frustrated as she still makes me believe that the money is not enough. I pay electricity bill (band A) and house rent (3m pa) yet every now and then she puts bills on my head. It is driving me crazy.
When I tell her to list out her expenses so I plan with her, she picks offence. I am really tired of the whole thing and don't know how else to approach the issue without causing too much problem. I know some men whose salaries are 250k-300k in PH, yet they are surviving.
Where in PH are you paying N3m? Please your rent should not exceed 30% of your income. Never!
NoToPile: For context I am female and I understand how it can be trying to give the children the best especially with food to make them healthy. Health is wealth. Children are always prioritized but some of your children are old enough to begin to understand some things.
If it's drinking bottled water that will make them not fall sick then you guys have no choice but to continue. Now I am assuming water supply in your axis is not clean enough to be boiled for drinking because even the costs of bottled water alone for 4 kids in a month is a whole lot of money. Some snacks can be cut off once once, the fresh juices are still okay it's healthy though expensive.
You guys just have to find a way around the costs, you sound strained already.
Talk to her.
Is this why the wife is picking offence? If I were the guy, I will withdraw that money. Let us see if heaven will fall.
Wait until the minimum wage law is signed, and give it 6 months, then see the kind of inflation that will hit Nigeria. What is happening now will be like child's play.
