beebwai: Sorry brother, but let me say this, most people that come here don't have south Africa as their first choice. Like you said your self money is the factor. Pls, since you know about Sa schools, why is it taking long to process admissions? Is it because of the protests or they just dont have an efficient system. i put in for nmmu and ukzn both honours. Any info will be of help thanks. Yes the protests earlier in the year is the major factor for delay, most schools are writing exams and a lot of schools are still not fully open, like CPUT now admission and fees office are still closed and its only students that have exams that are screened in. So for a lot of applicants you might get a response in January if at all but some already have got their response |

Dexcmd: Oh like I asked you here how to write my Personal Statement or Research Intention that got me admitted? You know you could have just ignored and don't reply, well I now understand when they say age doesn't prove maturity. You sound so pained like we're responsible for the negative things going on in your life. I remember when you were telling people to do away from SA schools and go to western schools like you play a role in their lives. Now SA schools are open like nothing ever happened. Man quit hating people's progress I see you put this crab up as you saw I've gotten a better reply. I can't even be worried that's how you do. Why is it that it's only you that brings nuisance to this thrend and most people here have once had a clash with you ? This thrend once had Manager00, CollinsFBI, Typop etc that never became a problem. Check yourself bro you may need deliverance. ;DD don't even quote me, ain't gonna reply !! BTW, why should I hate your progress, do I know you? Truth is what I say here, I make lots of money from getting admission for people in schoos I have relationship with but that won't stop me from saying the truth that sa schools are on the down slide, imagine schools that were closed for over 6 weeks and now writing exams in dec just to meet up, a lot didn't finish their syllabuses, yet they are writing exams!security search everyone before entrying some schools, is that not falling standards. No south african school is ranked top 200 in the world again. So why won't I tell people to move to western schools if they can afford it? |

Dexcmd: Thanks, relevant information like what ? I just can't fathom how someone going for a PG study in South Africa will not know how to put a sponsorship letter together. That's why I ignored. I read one time that 90% of Nigerians that were denied student visas into the UK, were denied because they couldn't even fill the visa application form correctly, now I believe that story 100%. |

tinsel: Please i need information from some one knowledgeable in the house. My son applied to a South Africa private univesity for an undergraduate study with O'level WAEC. He was offered a one year High certificate course. I called the school and they said after one year he will now proceed to 3 years bachelor degree program. The school did not mention any saqa/hesa. And this issue of saqa/hesa is also confusing to me. Now i want to apply for study permit for him. My question is since the offer admission stated one year Higher certificate course, do i need this saqa/hesa before i can apply for study permit for him. You don't need SAQA or HESA, since you have admission already, all you can do is to tell the school to give your son a letter to state that he doesn't need any SAQA for his study |

wine4dguy: The school resumes January bro so how do I chill till February , and moreso study visa is multiple entry date of first entry is not stated so Am not breaking any rules here thanks I meant Jan I hope you know a visa is not a guarantee entrance to enter any country, it is just an authority granted to the holder to proceed to the immigration officer at the Port of Entry, the officer now uses his discretion whether to grant you entry or not. Now if he feels you are coming into SA for other reasons asides study he has every right to turn you back. Look at it, your school starts in Jan, you want to come in dec when schools are closed and everyone is on holiday, if I was an immigration officer I will feel you are coming in for other things and I will turn you back, I just spoke to an official at DHA now and he said I quote "tell your friend to come in january or he risk his visa being canceled" those were his exact words. Do you know the stress you will face if your visa is cancelled, why do you want to risk it at all when you can just wait? What if your visa wasn't granted would you come to SA in Dec, won't you wait, why do you want to raise unnecessary attention on yourself? Well I have said my piece |

Although I have families in SA There was no start date on the visa just end date 31-12-2017 If it is a fresh visa I will advise you to chill till feb, truth is you might be turned back at the POE because it shows that you are not only in RSA for study purposes. If its a renewal, then you are free to come in. All the best |

Alright thanks I'll give it a try, hopefully things go well. Also is it possible to use my mom's account? I'm 21, I recently finished school so I don't have a "fat account". I just want to take a year off to volunteer now before life starts cos once I start working I might never get the time and opportunity again. Been following your request concerning your volunteer job opportunity in SA. What I will say is since your church is a big church like you said, I think they should have a protocol office that should handle all your travel documentation, you shouldn't be the one looking for a visa up and down. If they can't give you necessary documents for your application, they should handle it themselves. You are going to work for them for free so they should at least get you your visa. #myopinion |

To my question please for those in Cape Town. If you want a faster processing for study renewal which would you suggest? Go very early to Strand street or jejely follow appointment procedures at Absa building? Or does it not matter? Do you have all required documents ready? I can get you in without apointment in the 47 Strand street office |

My mum just advised he come back to Nigeria .. and we have booked his flight .. he is coming back this Thursday .. One thing bothering our minds is this .. he heard that they will ban him for 5 years right at the airport when he is about to leave .. i keep telling him they will only stamp him out .. but one useless person wan use him head .. and the person is saying they will ban him right there before he leaves SA .. so i need you gurus here to Answer me before he pays the person money .. the person promise to get him through without him been ban .. but he will pay about 3000 rands .. If he leaves before 28th of November, he will be barred for 1 year, anything after 28th of this month he will be barred for 5 years. This restriction into SA does not affect his chances of entering other countries, but I assure you he will be barred. |

Teed89: Hello House, thank you for the help you guys have been rendering here... It's AWESOME I must say. @Justwise, Solo, samuelUMOH, ify...
Yes, Now I want to apply for a tourist SA visa and I'm confused after reading the thread... I must say this and I need clarification on it. I have been to Dubai and I did it all myself. I didn't pay for my hotel until I arrived Dubai. But here I guess it's a different thing. I have made a booking with conformation at the hotel but I didn't pay.
My number 1 question... Must I pay for 1 day for mu VISA to be granted ? or all I just need is a confirmed booking?
I have a personal business I run... Sells gadget, phone and computers... aside from my office work. All road leads to success (LOL) so I multi task myself and money must be made. I have an issue right now I also need clarification on this please. My brother just made a credit transfer to me of 1million to make office supplies for his customer. I have a debit of 500K out of my account to buy the supplies in bits and do the rest as I have time during the weekend. I don't have a business account. I run all with my personal/salary account I also have a store with Konga and I do little bis there for more than 20 months now.
My number 2 question is that I hope the VISA officer doesn't look at me that I did that because I want to apply for a visa?
Note: I will be submitting my application tomorrow.
If I got any issue with any, kindly assist me with idea of remedy if I'm wrong. See, to be on the safer side please pay for yor hotel it saves you more money at the end of the day. As per your bank statement don't stress, I hope heavy deposits in your accounts are regular not one off. Like in the past 6 months, how many times have you rec'd huge deposits? I hope its not just this one million your brother paid in! If there are others in the past 6 months pls print a 6 months bank statement. |

samuelUMOH: medical and radiology report take just 1hour or less .Please try to submit application before Decemeber .More importantly you should have applied for the police certificate since July or August to avoid pressure .Download the medical and radiological report form from home affairs website and take it to any hospital for Dr signatures and stamp .Some hospitals have the form . This is just a tip, as long as you don't have a permanent residence yet, always have a valid police clearance, you never know when you can need to apply, opportunities can come up anytime and you won't want a mere police clearance stop you. So I advise every 6 months apply it costs just 96 rands |

Mecs: Hi, please i need your help. I got admission into an aviation in South Africa, I would like to know for the medical & radiology report do i need to look for a hospital in lagos or rather use the South Africa medical insurance or both of them at thesame time are necessary. Secondly the police report will they submit it themselves or I would have to collect it and add it to my documents for submission. Also do i need to add prove of accommodation to my documents when submitting And my sponsor is my husband but he is not a Nigerian citizen, will his bank statement just do or i need more than his bank statement. I will assume you are currently in Nigeria, you need to find a hospital in Nigeria to do your radiology and medical reports, preferably a govt hospital. Your medical insurance is a different thing, that is done in SA but you need to do it before you apply for your visa. Your police character certificate too must be done in lagos, its done at alagbon. Any bank statement is ok but it must be genuine and must have enough transaction and avalaible balance also it will be advisable to show the ties that exist between you and your husband e.g marriage certificate, you need to have organised were you will stay in SA during your course of study, your school can arrange that for you if you talk to them or an agent in SA can get you that or if you are going to stay at a relative's apartment let the person prove it in writting and documentation. I hope this helps all the best |

Kentrasso: Guys hi. My study visa is expiring December 31st. I have started the process of renewal but it's going to take another 30 days before my documents are all ready. What's the repercussion for late renewals? There is no repercussion as long as you submit before visa expires, what document is delaying you and why is it taking 30days? BTW the automated police clearance has been suspended indefinitely, so you have to do your police clearance in a police station |

samuelUMOH: Answers to your questions: T he South African immigration has no business with the flight you boarded once you arrived, you will be on same queue for clearance with people who boarded Emirates .The issue is in Nigeria SA airways staff are well paid and have manners compare to Arik staff who perhaps not earning much and mostly Nigerians ,who will be asking you funny questions in order to rip you of dollars . Truth be told SAA passengers are treated better at immigration than arik passengers, this does not only occur in SAA and SA, it applies to all countries. Also direct flight from Nigeria to other parts of the world, passengers are treated so shabily unlike you fly via a connecting flight. Once its a Nigerian registered airline, the security level is raised, so checks are raised. It doesn't also mean that if you fly SAA you can't be returned at POE, you can if you no get right documents. |

Anazp: Hello. Could you advise me how much in naira i would need to study (including feeding and accomodation) for a Masters at Stellenbosch Uni? Whats the visa process like? Should i go on a study or student visa? Thanks It depends on individual lifestyles, I don't know what fees are like in stellinbosch, fees vary on courses and schools. But for feeding and housing in stellinbosch a striclty white suburb in Western Cape, 45 mins drive from cape town is quite expensive so from to of my head I will say R6k to R7k a month. In todays Nigeria exchange rate, that's about a rand is 30 naira so that's about N180k to N210k. Btw this isn't professional advise just top of my head |
