Thanks so much!
GraciousWords:
This is just a guess - I think it depends..... if it's a small farm, then you could be both and your JD will cover all or most of the duties in each one. If it is a larger operation, then it may be safer if your JD mostly aligns with one or the other i.e. your JD matches 5 of the Farm Supervisor duties. I think it may be a bit dangerous to have 2 duties from one and 3 from the other. I'm not 100% sure though.

From the lead statement, looks like the Agriv Serv Contractor is the foot-soldier and the Farm Supervisor is the Oga.

Thanks

Thank you. Do you know how much bank charges for mybankstatement ticket generation?
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by stainless91(m): 8:19pm On Jun 22, 2023
Hello guys. As regards MyBankStament, will the ticket generated allow visa officer to monitor the person's account even after submission of application? Or the ticket is only valid for the ending of transactions of the day/date generated?

For example, I generated a ticket for 31st may and submit my application; and do some transactions afterwards, will they have access to subsequent transactions on 1st June?

Thank you!
TravelRe: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 17 by stainless91(m): 2:40pm On Apr 05, 2023
Hello everyone. Please I need your advice. I got an Msc admission (full funding with GA offer) for fall 2023. Based on the issuance of the GA, here are stringent conditions given:

- They will hold a teaching Graduate Assistantship for me from July 1, 2023.

-At this time, they ask that I demonstrate that I have obtained a Visa so that they know if I will be able to study and work during the Fall 2023 semester.

-If I am are unable to obtain a Visa by this date, they reserve the right to withdrawal the teaching Graduate Assistantship offer to ensure that they have an instructor in place to teach their classes

-If I am able to obtain a Visa, I will also need to obtain a social security number, which can only be done when I'm in the United States
I can set up a meeting at a social security office no more than 30 days before the start of my work appointment.

-Given this timeline, to give myself the best chance of being able to start work at the beginning of the fall 2023 semester, I should be in the United States and have an appointment with the social security office July 14 or 17, 2023 as School resumes 4th August.

Please guys, I need your honest advice.

I know that visa appointment in June will be tedious and difficult; to give myself more time for preparation, is it advisable to defer to spring or summer 2024 and still retain the GA offer.

Your advice and suggestions will highly be appreciated.

N:B I have an old I20 but will still have to wait for the updated I20.

DreManuel:
Generally, it's the professors that hire Ph.D. students into their labs, and students then function as an assistant. In many cases, tuition would be waived and the professor will pay stipends (from his grant money). I would spend most of my time getting to know professors in the program I'm targetting and try to get them to bring me on board. There are also cases where the program also hire TAs or GAs and they should waive tuition and pay stipends. However, there are some programs where tuition waivers are impossible (but they are generally professional programs).

To the response you received, I think it was too generic. My take on that is that even if someone doesn't receive an official assistantship, they can still be allowed to conduct research.
Thanks DreManuel for your contribution. I am grateful.

Does the offer really worth taking?

Issuance of visa nowadays is mostly contingent upon having adequate funds, won't it raise a red flag?

Hello everyone.

I am interested in applying for PhD program at the University of Florida, Gainsville. I wrote my department graduate co-ordinator as regards securing graduate assistantship.

She replied: "The program will allow you to conduct research and assist in the classroom without compensation."

Although, It is clearly written on the department website that:

"If awarded an assistantship, a graduate student will receive a 1/3-time appointment of $16,000/year (M.S.) or $20,000/year (Ph.D.). The assistantship will cover in-state and out-of-state tuition. However, students must pay non-matriculation fees".

Please, I still don't understand the above statements. I need your contributions and opinions.

Thanks.

The internal evaluation takes time. however, are you sure you input all your grades correctly or are you certain you didn’t drop any grade ? Because if your conversion is different from theirs, they won’t accept it.

Also you have just 2 attempts to get it correctly, if you don’t achieve that, you will be required to use WES for your evaluation.
I did it correctly sir. sent it to them via email but I didn't get a mail whether it was received or not. I periodically get mail that my app is incomplete (that's my fear).

Hello everyone.
I applied to NCAT for MSC fall 19 and I have submitted my app since 4th of jan. I got a mail from them on 9th of jan that my GPA needs to be converted using online GPA calculator; I did that conversion and send it to the appropriate email address. Since then, my app dashboard has been showing "missing GPA" despite the fact that I've supplied that. I gave them a call and I was told that it takes few weeks for the internal team to evaluate transcript except I fast-track it by using WES....
please, who has experienced this scenario?

Finally got to the last page; i sha skipped some of the pages oo, i can't fit kee myself.

I have always dreamed of going back to academics over the years. Life happened to me and i derailed into an unrelated field and after 3 years, the much awaited opportunity presented itself.

I got provisional admission at Ohio State with full funding plus RA position. The stuff needed to seal the deal is GRE and TOEFL. Prior to march, i didn't know jack about these exams but man gat take am. I consulted some of my friends and as God may have it, one of them was a major contributor to this platform and he punished me by requesting i go through the thread from the very beginning, hian. I sha don try.

I thing i have come to realize about this exam like other is that it requires one having the right resources, information, zeal and time. If any of these is missing, i don't think one gonna hit target.

I have decided to takeout one month to do intensive study. Below is my strategy

1. Do the diagnostic test on Powerprep
2. Get the Magoosh 30 days study schedule
3. 10 hours study per day
4. My resource for Quant will be Manhattan 8 series, 5lb and Official guide by ETS
5. For verbal, Manhattan for RC and SE, the andriod app stuff for vocab building and Manhattan 500
6. The Magoosh video is a must see.
7 Kaplan for AW
8. Magoosh premium account (my one month go expire 19th June). God may raise a good Nigerian to epp me with one

Please, if there is any essential material I missed out, assist identifying.
So, that's it. let the chase for Spring 2019 begin

Thanks to progenitor of this thread. I owe you guys alot and will repay this altruistic gesture by referring other peeps in need
what's course and GPA?

I have been on this admission of a thing since 2015. Wrote GRE in 2016 but did not apply to any school due to finance. I sat for another GRE in Nov 2017 and I applied to four schools: U of Arkansas, University of Delaware, New Mexico State University, and MTU. Got a regret mail for U of Delaware already but nothing yet from NMSU and MTU. It's really been God and the encouragement I tap from people on this forum.

3 days ago, I started studying for verbal aspect of GRE...always thought it was a child's play...Alas! I never knew English was (and it's still) hard...seeing heavy vocabulary, I lost my reasoning.... I couldn't decipher a meaning of word. I was ashamed despite all my conversation with colleagues and peers in English language...
It has been said here times without number that Princeton review is good for verbal, but I don't think it is meant for me. (for those that used that book, you're the genius and we are not mate!)
I was trying to apply the strategy learnt especially for TC....but all na wash!
please folks, I need your advice concerning d material to use for this aspect.

I have 2 textbooks of Princeton review (cracking the GRE and 1,014 practice questions).
which one is applicable to verbal? and
which one is applicable to quant strategies?
Thanks
