PoliticsWe Are Not Ghosts, Boko Haram Tells Jonathan by Stallion77(op): 6:09am On Mar 14, 2013
Boko Haram Members

Disclaims Shekau’s purported video

Two PDP chieftains, four gunmen killed

Presidency flays critics of Jonathan’s visit to Borno, Yobe

Chuks Okocha in Abuja,
Michael Olugbode in Maiduguri andMohammed Aminu in Sokoto

A new twist emerged in the purported ceasefire offered by the Boko Haram sect, as a faction of the group yesterday took exception to President Goodluck Jonathan’s statement during his recent state visit to Yobe and Borno States, that members of the sect were “ghosts.”

Also, gunmen in separate attacks on Tuesday, shot dead two chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from Southern Borno Senatorial District and Shehuri ward at about 8 p.m., while four suspected gunmen were reportedly killed by a combined team of soldiers, police and officers of the State Security Service (SSS) at Bado quarters in the Sokoto metropolis.

Similarly, the Presidency dismissed criticisms against President Jonathan over his recent visit to Yobe and Borno States and the non-granting of amnesty to members of the Boko Haram sect.

But the Boko Haram sect, in a statement signed by Sheikh Muhammad Abdul’aziz, and distributed to journalists in Maiduguri, said its members could not have been ghosts or a faceless association because they have been in dialogue and consultation with the Borno State Government and a delegation of the Northern State Governors’ Forum (NSGF).

The statement also faulted a video in which Boko Haram’s self-acclaimed leader, Abubakar Shekau, repudiated a ceasefire offer, which the group offered the federal government.

Jonathan, during the two-day visit to Borno and Yobe had said his administration would not grant state pardon to “ghosts.”

Reacting to the president’s statement, Abdul’aziz said: “As regards the statement by Mr. President that we are ghosts, let me say with due respect that we are not ghosts; we have sat with officials of the Borno State Government and a delegation of Northern State Governors’ Forum on Peace and Reconciliation, headed by Air Vice Marshall Mukhtar Muhammad (rtd.).”

He also said the video clip on YouTube credited to Shekau, where he dissociated the group from the ceasefire and dialogue offer was fake.

He said: “About a week ago, somebody who claimed to be leader of Jama’atul Ahlul Sunnah Lid-Da’waati Wal Jihad, Sheikh Abubakar Shekau, appeared on You Tube and disclaimed peace process going on between the government of Borno State and the group. The purported Sheikh Abubakar Shekau, went further to say that he does not know Sheikh Mohammed Ibn Abdul’aziz. Let me state that the man who appeared on the said YouTube is not Sheikh Abubakar Shekau. The voice is not his and sheikh has never hidden his face.

“Sheikh’s voice is heavily Kanuri accented. The man (in the video) is an impostor deliberately brought to the frontline by those opposed to the peace process.

“I call on (Borno State) Governor Kashim Shettima, to disregard all those propaganda aimed at disrupting the peace process as we are ready and willing to continue to dialogue with government.

“Sheikh knows me and has confidence in my ability and is aware and he blessed the peace process. When I was being sworn in as munzul, that we are going to work for the sake of Allah by the late leader of the group, Sheikh Muhammad Yusuf, he did so in the presence of Sheikh Mallam Ibrahim Mubi, Mallam Ibrahim Agaji, Mallam Sani Kontagora and Babagana Mulima. So, it is impossible for the sheikh to say he does not know me while it is he who promoted me to my present position,” he added.

Abdul’aziz said the peace process was still on course despite the continued killing by Boko Haram members and “we will continue to talk with government because our people are suffering. Allah has sanctioned dialogue in all human undertakings so we will pursue it to its logical conclusion.”

In a related development, the PDP chieftains, who were shot dead are the zonal vice-chairman of Southern Borno senatorial district, Alhaji Ibrahim Usman Gula; and the PDP Women Leader for Shehuri ward in Maiduguri metropolis, Hajiya Gambo.

A top official of the party, who spoke on anonymity, said: “They were killed in cold blood near the Maiduguri International Hotel (MAIH) and Shehuri ward of the metropolis, before the Joint Task Force (JTF) and police cordoned the areas for over an hour to prevent further attacks and killings. The bodies of the slain party officials have already been buried on Tuesday, according to Islamic rites at the Gwange cemetery.”

The state Police Commissioner, Alhaji Yuguda Abdullahi, confirmed the separate incidents in a telephone chat.

THISDAY checks revealed that the killing of the gunmen occured in the early hours of yesterday, when security operatives invaded the area, following a tip off and engaged the gunmen in a gun duel that lasted for about eight hours.

It was further gathered that the three bedroom flat that was occupied by the gunmen was demolished by the soldiers after the operation.

Addressing journalists at the Brigade 1 Barracks in Sokoto, the Brigade Commander, Brig Gen. Mohammed Tasiu Ibrahim, said the combined team of security operatives embarked on the operation, following a tip off from the SSS, which enabled them to track the residence of the gunmen.

“As you are aware, the 1 Brigade received intelligence report from the SSS and immediately mounted a raid operation in the Bado area. In fact, no sooner had the operation started that the soldiers came under direct fire from rocket propelled grenade from the adversaries.

He said items recovered include: submachine gun, one rifle propelled grenade, two AK 47 rifles, two revolver guns, two pistols, four cartridges, 3mt magazine, 122.56 milimetre ammunition, 4.45 special ammunition, 13 pistol round, one improvised explosive devise container, half bag of fertiliser, a deposit slip of N3.5 million, two GPS, 10 handsets, one plate number, one laptop and two Toyota starlet cars among others.

Meanwhile, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe, described the allegations as cheap, ill-informed and ill motivated.

“It may be apt at this juncture for the purpose of comparison to recall when in 1980, during the Maitatsine insurgency in Kano, over 6,000 residents of Kano were killed in broad daylight but President Shehu Shagari who was the President of Nigeria at that time did not rush to Kano. President Shagari as a matter of fact did not go there for a very long time until the security situation in Kano had been brought to a situation where a President could visit and there was no hue or cry as at that time,” he said.

Okupe added that the visit allowed the President to actually show honest and true leadership by engaging in very frank talks with community leaders and leaders of thought in those two states.

“The President was not angry. The President felt it was time for us to look ourselves into the face; eyeballs to eyeballs and speak the truth to ourselves and if you cannot speak the truth, we cannot get justice and we will not find solutions to our problem,” Okupe added.

The presidential spokesman said it was important that Nigerians understand the nature and ideology of the Boko Haram insurgents for whom some people have been asking for amnesty, stating that: “Their demands include things like setting aside the Nigerian constitution and its replacement with laws based on the Sharia legal system, conversion of President Jonathan from his Christian faith to the Islamic religion, unconditional release of all its members arrested in connection with bombings, arson and violent killings in different parts of Nigeria and scrapping of all institutions of modern educational training.

“It is obvious from these stated demands that the Boko Haram sect is founded on an extreme faith-based ideology, which seek to coerce other citizens of this Nation to accept its own ways of life. This ideology is certainly inconsistent with the secular nature of the Nigerian Nation and the dreams of our founding Fathers.”

According to him, “the activities of the Boko Haram group are alien to civility as they have consistently murdered hundreds of thousands of women, children, the elderly and other defenceless citizens regardless of whether they are Christians or Muslims.

“It is, therefore, inconceivable that some people have continued to liken this religious terror group to the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) to whom government offered an amnesty in 2010.

“Even though the methods adopted by MEND were like-wise condemnable, their demands were mainly socio-economic in nature and spelt out as crusade for better deal for its people whose farmlands and waters have been degraded by pollution emanating from the activities of oil firms operating in the region, Crusade for a greater share of funds accruing to oil producing states from the Federation Accounts. massive development of the Niger Delta region though provision of infrastructure like pipe borne water, electricity, hospitals and good roads.

“Despite the economic nature of these demands, leaders of the MEND were not anonymous. They came out to dialogue with government and it was on the basis of the dialogue that an amnesty was eventually granted by the Federal Government.

“The position of the Federal Government is that those who seek amnesty must come out in the open to renounce violence and drop their arms. That is the way it is done in all parts of the world and Nigeria cannot be an exception.”

“The President holds the Sultan of Sokoto in high esteem and does consult him from time to time on various national issues. The request by the Sultan for amnesty for the Boko Haram is quite understandable in view of his eminent position as the leader of the entire Muslim community in Nigeria and the pre eminent traditional ruler in the North.

“However, the President has a responsibility to the whole Nation and his judgment must be based on facts and information that are available to him and that will be in the best interest of the Nigerian people. The President cannot afford the luxury of sentimental consideration under the present situation where government has to contend with and find a lasting solution to the menacing issue of Boko Haram insurgency.

PoliticsOshiomhole And Adoke Nearly Fought At Presidential Villa by Stallion77(op): 7:10pm On Mar 12, 2013
The two exchanged words over the handling of the murder of the Edo Governor’s aide.

Talatu

The National Council of State meeting which held at the Presidential Villa on Tuesday witnessed a hot argument between an enraged governor and a minister.

The Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomole; and the Attorney General of the Federation, Bello Adoke engaged in an argument over the handling of the murder of Mr. Oshiomole’s former’s aide, Olaitan Oyerinde.

The drama, which occurred at the Council Chambers hall of the Presidential Villa, saw the duo on the verge of a fight until the Chief of Staff, Mike Oghiadome; Delta State Governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan; and other governors stepped in to save the day.

The altercation started when, during pre-meeting interactions, Mr. Adoke left his seat and moved over to Mr. Oshiomole. A hot exchange of words over the handling of Oyerinde’s death subsequently ensued.

The Council of State meeting, which was attended by former Heads of State, Yakubu Gowon, Ernest Shonekan and Shehu Shagari; Senate President, David Mark; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal; governors; ministers; and senior government officials was chaired by President Goodluck Jonathan.

Speaking with journalists after the meeting on the reason for his outburst, Mr. Oshiomole said Mr. Adoke had trivialized his office as governor, adding that the matter was wrongly referred to the Office of the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice by the Deputy Inspector General of Police, instead of the State’s Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice.

“I don’t think it is an issue I want to talk about. He (Mr. Adoke) was saying that my Attorney General should have known what to do, that he has nothing to do with the matter. I simply asked him who referred the matter to him. Was it my Attorney General? The matter was referred to him by the Deputy Inspector General of Police and I asked him who should know better?

“If the Deputy Inspector General of Police referred a matter that he ought to have referred to the State to the Federal Attorney General, who is the one dragging him (Mr. Adoke) into the matter? Who is the one politicizing the matter? Should we assume that the DIG did not know that an offense of murder is a state offense? And if he knows it’s a state offense why did he refer it to the Federal Attorney General? So, if there is any complaints he should complain to the DIG who referred the case to him. The rest you witnessed,” the governor said.

Mr. Oshiomhole continued, “The point is that some of these guys- I am a governor, I’m elected; he has to respect my office even if he doesn’t respect my person. In any event, we are dealing with factual issues. If a case was wrongfully referred to the federal attorney general by the Nigeria Police, who is to blame?”

Mr. Oshiomole also said the state government had earlier complained that the matter ought to have been referred to the Edo State Director of Public Prosecutions and not federal because it is a state offense committed in Edo State.

“It’s like the case of a he-goat. When a family is happy they sacrifice the he-goat to celebrate. When the child is sick the native doctor says, sacrifice a he-goat so that the child will be well. So, head or tail, the he-goat is in trouble.

“Here I am, my primary Secretary is killed, nobody seems to bother. I’m doing my best to raise the issue because that is the least I owe to someone who gave his life. Yet for someone else who does not think life is important, it’s a matter to trivialise and joke about. When it comes to life and death, I don’t joke.

“The essence of governance is to protect life and property. That is fundamental. Even in poverty, people need to feel safe and secure. Nobody has a right under our constitution to take the life of another except if it has been confirmed by a court of competent jurisdiction.

“I was surprised that for the Attorney General it is something he can afford to joke with, telling me that my Attorney General didn’t know what to do,” the governor said.

The Governor advised that office holders should think of how the decisions they make will affect the country as after now, they will all be referred to as “ex”.

However, the Attorney General, in his reaction, denied trivializing the governor’s office.

“I will not disregard his office. He is my personal friend. I have the highest respect for him. I did not trivialise his office and I have no reason to trivialise his office. He is at liberty as a governor in this country to say whatever he wants to say but I will accord his office the highest respect and I will not join issues with him,” he said.

Also speaking on the ongoing plans for the formation of the All Progressive Congress, the Edo State Governor stated that it is the right of political parties to merge. He warned that should the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) refuse to register the party, it would leave itself open to accusation.

“In a genuine democracy, it is in our interest that those in and out of power create a viable alternative platform for people to make an informed choice. No party is too good to rule forever nor is any party too bad to be out of power forever. We have seen what is happening around the African continent. Nigeria must live by example in many respects. It is not about me; it is not about you. Party is not indigeneship; it is a platform of ideas. It is about Nigeria,” Mr. Oshiomole said.

PoliticsDele Momodu, Attacking Jonathan Won’t Get You An Appointment! by Stallion77(op): 11:33pm On Mar 10, 2013
Let me begin by saying that I am neither a paid agent nor a writer who feeds from the crumbs off Aso Rock dining table. In fact, the highest rank any member of my family attained in government is level 11 in a State Civil Service.

This piece will take a swipe at the current lousiest individual in the country. His name is Dele Momodu who I will subsequently refer to as ‘DM’. In his latest article, he informed us that he is not a fan of President Goodluck Jonathan. If he was anticipating a thunderous OVATION applause from the readers, I hope he got it.

First of all, we do not need anyone to bore us with such statement because a vast majority of us are not GEJ’s fan. In fact, personally, I often lead debate or co-moderate discourse on the many imperfections of the present regime.

If there are those who had doubts before now, this line, “I don’t want you to believe all the cheap blackmail that it is because we lost an election or wanted favour and attention”, opened his large behind. For heaven’s sake, this man should wake up to the reality that he is and always will be a political neophyte. All his articles directed at Jonathan are simply too ridiculous to get him the attention he desires.

I still do not get why DM is making all these deafening noise. He really wants to become more popular than he is already? He is obviously angered that an olive branch has yet been extended by the presidency, but is it by force? He and jokers alike – Olopade Agoro, (Pastor) Chris Okotie etc – perhaps thought presidential elections in the world’s most populous black nation is pap and akara.

After the 2011 polls, the president reached out to major opposition parties he felt gave him a though battle during the race. Expectedly and understandably, bros wasn’t invited. Well, I would have done the same. What business do I have inviting someone who got only ONE, ONE in his own ward? (Ward 10 Unit 24, Wasimi Community High School). What business do I have inviting someone who did not even have a manifesto? Why should I invite someone who was looking for who he’d pay N5 million in exchange for a well-drafted manifesto? Why would I invite someone who quickly jumped ship to the National Conscience Party after the Labour Party wisely denied him the ticket because he was a weak candidate? I need him to give me one sensible reason why he deserved an invite after polling a total of 26, 000 votes.

Is he aware that that figure is less than 1% of 1% of the 67million voters the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, registered? Going by those meager votes, I strongly believe he would have been trounced if he had contested Chairmanship of Afenmai Local Government in his home state of Edo.

Few weeks after he was left out in the cold, DM resumed boisterous attack on Jonathan. Not done, he actually sworn to challenge his loss, saying “INEC recorded over 26, 000 for me nationwide despite not having access to public funds like Dr. Abati’s boss”. This is absolute nonsense. If DM was giving all the money in circulation, did he honestly think he can cause an upset without using a formidable platform?

His public spat with Abati is another issue entirely. For those who missed it, see: http://saharareporters.com/article/reuben-abati-vs-dele-momodu

DM is a just shameless man who should be ignored. He goes about claiming to be a disciple of the murdered president we never had, MKO Abiola. He has Aare Onakakanfo’s photograph everywhere including his car bonnet and toilet, but betrayed him in his death. He once frolicked with the family of the man that invalidated his late boss’s mandate in what remains the freest and fairest election ever.

Under the guise of covering events of the Babangidas (and other countless rogues), DM occasionally profiled the evil-genius in his magazine. He enjoyed a somewhat decent relationship with the family, splashing their ill-gotten – of which a large chunk is part our collective $12 billion looted oil windfall – on our faces. I recall that at that time, many expressed disgust over what they described as an image-laundering campaign for the former military dictator. DM responded the bad-belles, saying it is no one’s business to determine whoever he decides to feature in his publication. Can you hear that, because of money!

Later when the affair went awry, he turned 180 degrees to say he would contest presidency because the man who incarcerated MKO had threw in his candidature. In 2010, an ambitious DM on his back page ThisDay column derisorily boasted he was more popular than the gap-toothed Niger-born General. Lmao! I guess he had a bottle of rum around while writing that.

In his bid for recognition, DM must have sent over 400 letters to the Federal Government. I have an example:

“On July 2, 2011, I wrote yet another open letter to Mr President: Your choice of Ministers I believe is impressive, minus a few controversial names.” The question is would he have labeled some of the Federal Executive Council members as ‘controversial’ if his name was included in the list?

Another example:

“On July 9, 2011, I wrote an open memo to the new ministers and highlighted the urgent and priority areas they must tackle with all seriousness”…Busybody, like the appointees dropped from Mars.

Again, according to DM, “I’ve written several such memos to government offering free and unsolicited advice in the hope that we can all lift our nation up”…sigh.

I appreciate the fact that he has a lot of things to contribute to governance, but he should spare us the daily clatter pending the time his numerous ideas are implemented – probably in the next life.

I have no soft spot for him but I think that GEJ just like any other human being is not stone-hearted; even the dreaded Sani Abacha had those he listened to. Jonathan must have at one point or the other listened to or considered inputs from his critics. He may have at one time or the other invited such persons to physically present their positions. DM’s should go and fast and all being well, his dream shall come to pass.

Kudos to Nasir El-rufai and co; his comments usually unsettle the villa because he pounds the administration’s policies, not its Head. Not only that, the ex-Minister does proffer solutions he believes are workable. I have read so many of which dwelled on education, power, housing, light rail, roads etc. This is what we expect, not 400 write-ups focused targeted at one man.

Enter Oby Ezekwesili, the famous Madam Due Process. Only ONE speech (not loud-mouthed opinions) she gave at the University of Nigeria Nsukka rattled the Federal Government, so much that the combination of Reno, Abati, Doyin and Maku till today cannot convince Nigerians that Obiageli truly “dished out lies”. Aunty dared them to a public debate and instead they unleashed ICPC to probe her tenure in the Education Ministry – a very mumu strategy though.

Also, Kudos to far a more intelligent clique and members of the Kick Out SIDDON LOOK: Okey Ndibe, Tunde Fagbenle, Pius Adesanmi, Okey Ndibe, Tunji Ariyomo and Modupe Debbie Ariyo. Admittedly, they attack GEJ but this group and other social commentators have not elevated that to a hobby; they hammer on the performance, not the office of the president.

On a second reasoning, DM may be craving for the image a fugitive on the wanted list of the national government; he wants to attract the State Security Service at all cost. Okey, Nasir, Elombah and a few others are usual suspects so he wants to belong.

DM, you are a genius at advising the government of the day and I admire your effort. But why not consider joining the newly-formed All Progressives Congress, APC. There, you can vie for the 2015 presidential ticket. But if you do not get it (which is certain), you may be compensated with a Ministerial slot for your sweat.

In the meantime, let us have a slight breathing space. Your “notice-me” strategy really isn’t working. Devote more time on your build-up to 2015; miracles do happen. This time around, the Almighty God may come to your rescue by raising more than 26, 000 electorate to queue behind you.

eGuerrilla: I see nothing to be alarmed about here, as what is being deliberated upon is regarded as "parliamentary privilege" in other climes.

Granting legislators the right to speak freely during parliamentary sessions, without the fear of prosecution, would embolden others like Senator Enang, and should not be confused with conferring immunity for other crimes punishable under the law.

In my opinion, the bill does not provide blanket cover for bribery cases like Oteh vs Hembe and Otedola vs Farouk or any other attempt to subvert the oversight functions of parliament through inducement.
House of Representatives on Thursday began a process which, if successful, would grant lawmakers immunity from standing trial for civil and criminal charges for acts committed in the course of performing their official functions.

PoliticsCAN Group Faults Bakare On El-rufai’s Retweet by Stallion77(op): 10:54am On Feb 08, 2013
A conglomeration of 13 church groups within the Christian Association of Nigeria on Tuesday faulted the comments by the overseer of the Latter Rain Assembly, Tunde Bakare, on the retweet by a former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai.

The group also challenged Bakare to define “whether he is a Christian or Muslim.”
Bakare, in his state of the nation address in Lagos, said from its criticism of el-Rufai’s tweet on Jesus Christ, CAN was only diverting attention from grave issues affecting the country.
He also alleged that CAN was an extension of government.
But the Christian group, which operates under the aegis of Tarayar Ekklisiyar Kristi A Nijeriya (Hausa), said it was not surprised because Bakare was more of a politician than a pastor.
The President of TEKAN, Rev. Emmanuel Dzieggau, in an interview with journalists in Abuja, reminded Bakare that God would fight whoever makes derogatory remarks about Him.
Dzieggau described Bakare as a “confused mind,” adding that Nigerians should rather not take him serious because he had not recovered from the shock of losing an election.”
He said, “One day, he will wake up and speak as a politician and another day, he will speak as a pastor. But for him to say that CAN has no right to speak on somebody like el-Rufai, who derogates the person of our Lord Jesus Christ, is a very great offence.
“We want to tell Tunde Bakare to come out clearly and tell us where he belongs, either a Christian or a Muslim because he cannot be speaking from the two sides of his mouth. We are not surprised at the attitude of Bakare.”
Dzieggau said if it were to be the other way round — that a Christian made a derogatory remark against Prophet Mohammed — the country would have been on fire.
He said, “We are not going to fight for our God, we have left El-Rufai in the hands of God.”
According to him, anybody who speaks ill of Jesus Christ does not go scot-free, because “the God in Heaven knows how to deal with him.”

After the bleeding of the engine block...i believe it has stopped overheating...But i have a question to ask pls... After driving for about 10kms and park, when you feel the fat pipe that connects from the top of the radiator to the engine...is it supposed to be strong when u squeeze it or soft? Cos i know dat dat its usually soft wen the engine has cooled. So does it mean anything wen d engine is hot and its firm? as in, hard to squeeze? Or is it just normal.

Ikenna351: How did it go? Any improvement?

I didnt ignore your question actually. It just that i didnt want you to come back and say "You sent my car to its early grave", simply because i recommended someone i didnt trust enough not to complicate issues more.

Can you bring the car to me on Saturday to look at it and see what i can do, if the issues are yet to be fixed?

Ikenna.
Ok...I get it. I did the radiator fan test...the fan at the driver's side sucked in the paper but the other fan did not suck it in as sharp as the other one did and it did not blow it away either the sucking in was kinda weak... But both fan speed are thesame.

Thanks alot Ikenna and Sultaan...i will test the fan connection at dawn, and make sure an engine block flush is done.
Thanks again.... But u sha ignored my last question Ikenna.

Ikenna351: Before you take it up with your fans, you need to clarify something for us.

Does the needle in temp guage goes above the middle of the guage when the car is in motion (like above 60km/h) or does it only rises above middle of the guage when the car is stationaly? If the car overheats when the car is in motion (about 50-70km/h), then your radiator fans are not the issue here, because those fans shouldnt be spinning or running when the car is in motion at such speed, unless your A/C is on.

You said the cooling system was bled before you while you watched, how was it done?

Your fans arent suppose to start spinning as soon as you start the car. If that is what is happening in that engine bay, then you are saying bye-bye to that your engine, poko a poko. They need to be reverted back to the factory connection. Running the fans constantly wont stop overheating. If there is a problem with the cooling system, the system will boil like hell, whether four fans are spinning constantly or not.

There is a way you can know if the fans you said wasnt running when you checked, still have the original connection to the factory trigger. I have treated this recently in a similar topic. Its very simple. It will also help you to know if the thermostat is still in that system or have been removed. If its there, it will also help you to know if its working or has failed: stuck closed or opened. Though, it will be difficult to tell the difference between a stuck open thermostat and a system that the thermostat is lacking or been removed. In that case, you may have to open the thermostat housing to find out.

If you are very sure that you have tested for head gasket failure and it hasnt failed, then your issue is a minor one. You just need to do the right thing at the right place and you start smiling again.

That clown that told you to replace your radiator with the double cell one, what did you call him again? Mechanic? Is that how to solve a problem?

The rusty coloured water you see in your radiator was not formed in your radiator, rather, around the engine walls, as a result of the water you usr only. The more you use only water, the more you see that terrible colour. It will get to a point, some tiny passages that the fluid flow around the engine wall/block will get clogged/blocked by those things that look like sand in the radiator, which start a terrible overheating, more than the one you are experiencing now, if that is not the cause of the overheating you are having now sef. Tell that your clown to flush the cooling system by removing the flush bolt on the engine block. Removing the radiator hoses is not cooling system flushing. Big quantity of fluid is still trapped in the engine block. Those are the ones that clogges the radiator or contaminates the fresh fluid when not flushed out. And the fluid in the engine block is the one that traps air in the system and needs to be bleed out. So, let him do a thorough flushing and bleeding.

I would advice you use water first after the flushing and bleeding. Then test drive it a day or two. iF you the overheating problem doesnt happen again, then you can take it back to him to repeat what he did: flushing and bleeding. This time, refill the system with coolant, a good one.

I still need you to answer the questions i asked above to know how to deal with your fans issue, if there is any issue with them.

Ikenna.
Thanks a mill Ikenna...yes the temp guage goes above the middle of the guage wen car is in motion 50km/h and above.

It was bled by loosing one small bolt near the top of the engine that trickled water out wen water was poured into the radiator.

Is there somewhere u can refer me to in abuja pls?

I thought both fans should be on as soon as the engine comes on... cos the last time i discovered that it overheated, i checked and discovered one of the fans was disconnected so i asked someone to connect it thinking that was the cause for overheating. so honestly,i dont know what to think again cos i have had the radiator washed and flushed....all to no avail. my next move is changing the radiator as they said it is rusted and not working well, then probably check the water pump.
