Travel / Re: South Africa Critical Skill Visa And Permanent Resident by standfit007: 6:41am On May 04
This category is called Critical Skill Visa(CSV); issued to migrants that posses the skills as found in the official CSV documentation (you can easily find this DHA website, latest one is dated 2023 October)

1. If you posses the skill, then apply to SAQA to evaluate your degree(if not obtained in South Africa). This is the first thing to do as your professional body will need it to admit you(I know for ICT professionals body, can’t say for others)

2. Join the professional association/body of your skills and/or degree studied

3. Secure a job offer. This is a must, now

4. Get police character certificate (you can get it online at https://possap.gov.ng/

5. Get radiology and medical report from a government hospital. I think you need to download the forms and take along; you can download the forms from VFS, just search

6. Yellow fever vaccination card

7. I should think you need accommodation proof, maybe for a month or two, of course you have employment offer already and you have not be a liability in the eyes of the government they are assessing your application

8. I think you should have some funds to proof you have something to start life until your first salary comes. This was a requirement prior to the latest CSV list, but don’t know if it is still a requirement

9. Marriage certificates and/or any other documents around this area of life.

10. I think you can’t apply with your family members, but could apply after you have arrived in SA or after you have received your visa approval

These are what you require for this type of visa. For item 7 and 8 and any other that I use “I think”, you need to double check or let others advice if I am correct and/or if there are changes

See you in SA soon.

Tell us more about this category of visa. Thanks

Hello,
Could you assist on these;

1. I did not notice proof of fund in the latest information/list of 2023 Oct. I will like to know if proof of fund is still required or adviced to be stated to apply as at today. If yes, the minimum amount is?

2. I know other countries(Canada and USA) only calls for passport when there is an outcome on one’s application.
Is my passport required to be submitted during application?as I can’t predict how long the process may take.

3. submitting CSV application via VFS. Would this be okay or what do you advise?on when to submit; I have read people say they submitted their applications(not sure it is CSV though) via evisa portal and at the embassy.

4. Can one requests for SAQA NQF7 re-evaluation after the stipulated 90 days?
I sent you DM, do check and kindly approve so that I can ask some clarification.

I will value response from anyone too on the above, please.

080bjaked:
I saw a recent interview where the Home Affairs minister claims there are no backlogs with Critical skills visa anymore hence response times have significantly improved.
Also turn around time seems to have greatly improved for permanent residence applications under section 27b. Got a response in 5months.

Hi, thank you for sharing valuable information. I wondering how to go about this MIE process as I couldn’t find a specific service on their site (mie.co.za) that speaks to this. Could you share what service I need to get this done?

KazikageSama:

Yes and Yes.
Job offer, SAQA evaluation, professional body evaluation, MIE for professional experience confirmation (not compulsory but I really recommend it) are part of the documentations required then medical evaluation (Radiology inclusive), bank statement, certified copies of qualifications and certifications etc.

On the job offer, I'd suggest you submit a contract offer between 3-5years. People (myself inclusive) got bounced before cos of permanent offers, interestingly some people (esp. Amazonians) usually appeal the ruling and sometimes they win (50-50 chance).
Before now job offer wasn't a requirement, but based on the 2022 regulation, the one year, job-seeker Critical Skills visa was scrapped.

Good luck.

Your responsesare appreciated.
Wondering how using a different (even by mistake) will affect points as against visa filing...i will like clarification on this. Perhaps you forgot to add the image, could ypu check and reattach?

On job offer as another ways to increase points, do you have any reference for one to explore?may some links that you know that are not in the "public".

tunlex01:

Congratulations on your positive result.
Please ensure you stick to the date approved in your result letter (see image below) to avoid overclaiming points.
1. 190 usually has more invites but they are mostly issued to priority occupations applications both offshore and onshore in these fields -health, teaching and construction related as well as onshore applicants in other fields.

2. THis is for onshore applicants who studied a computer science related course in Australia. They can do professional year to claim extra points.

3.All the ways to increase points are listed in the anzscosearch page or immi website on the points calculator. Those are the only ways to increase points.

4. Sincerely, 65 is not a good score for 135112 or any ACS occupation but who knows, miracles do happen.

5. 189 draw has not happened in a long time. IT used to be every month. For state nomination, they usually work with the allocated quota. if it's a lot, they tend to do more nomination but if it's not much, they do less nominations and issue nomination on a need-basis.
Also, July to December are usually a good time for nomination cos Australia FY starts every July.
Travel / Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by standfit007: 10:52pm On Apr 12
Thanks for your responses.

For item 3, i got 10years of experience on my assessment. During filing the EOI, the highest available was "minimum of 8years and above" sort of....giving 10points. I thought i got the highest on this. Is there anything i am missing?

Pe job offer for my , do you have some pointers?

NB1912:

1. You are not eligible for 190 with 55 points. You need a minimum of 65 points to be eligible.

2. Professional years is for those that studied in Australia. I am guessing you are not in Australia as you would have known this.

3. Get more years of work experience.

4. Each state has it's own requirement. While some states might have additional requirements such as increased years of work experience, higher English score or submitting a separate ROI, other states might have no additional requirement. You would have to research each states requirement. It's hard to say if 65 points is good enough to receive an invite. The higher your score the better your chances. I would recommend you create an EOI for each state that has your occupation on their list. You can target NSW, VIC, SA, WA, QLD and ACT.

5. Regarding 190 & 491, some states will mention the date of their next invite round while others won't. Again, you would have to look into each states requirement.
Travel / Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by standfit007: 9:05pm On Apr 11
Hi Tunlex01,
Thanks for the efforts on this channel. I was surprised to receive a positive assessment response from ACS today; i submitted on 22 March.

I have now applied(EOI) for 491(65 points) and 190(55 points).

1. I checked pasts ITAs from 2020-2023(as found on the offcial gov.au site) and noticed that 190 visa had more numbers of invites. Note, I didn't applied for this in my first EOI submission but had to update afterwards (to put in) for 190. Could you share some insights on this trend?

2. There is this "gazetted professional year in Australia", and noticed ACS(my assessment authority) was mentioned as one that provies this. Could you share thought on this as per the number of points this can fetch one? Secondly do you have experience with this generally?

3. I could understand that one way to increase my point is another english test with higher score. What other ways can i increase my points?

4. From your experience and/or trend, is 65 a good point for regional nomination? Do you have any thought on specific region to target (for code135112)? When I say target, I found out that there are some regions that require one to throw in ROI to get nomination even if one selected "any" as region he is open to live in.

5. Are there specific times that general ITA is drawn as compared to, say, Canada that dodraw every other month?

Anyone with answer to any of the questions is appreciated 👏

tunlex01:

You are right about ACS, it's not applicable to all assessing bodies but the Department of Home Affairs usually ask for them later too.
The main reason why we ask for this information is to confirm that the prospective applicant meet the requirements before they spend their hard earned money. For example, if the person is paid by cash and wants to assess with ACS even if you have other documents, it's a no-no.
The information request is just a guide

I don’t have anything to add again! Enough said already

Namaster:
Listened to a few seconds of the video and I can tell she's an IDIIIOT with bad intentions.

First of all, 99% of the People who travel abroad do NOT do it to make money. So the premise of her NONSENSE argument is flawed.

The amount of money that is needed to complete the process of emigration in Nigeria is MIND-BOGGLING! The idea that it's ONLY poor people looking for money that choose to travel to UK, Europe, USA, Canada, etc is just plain DUMB!

It's even dumber when you consider the fact that a 40-year old man is UNLIKELY to receive external support to finance his plans.

People who travel do it to get AWAY from the economic quagmire, political instability, infrastructural collapse and the general LAWLESSNESS that is the hallmark of the Nigerian society.

Put simply, people travel out to get a better quality of life for themselves and their families.

Anyone who thinks people are fleeing Nigeria to make money is just being DELIBERATELY obtuse.

She's advocating for staying in Nigeria and "looking for money in dirty places". She doesn't realize that all the money in Nigeria would make no difference if you fall sick and the hospitals do NOT have ordinary X-ray machine to help with the diagnosis.

For those reading this:

If it enters your body to leave Nigeria and you can afford it, LEAVE! Even if you are 99 years old, LEAVE!

hi tunlex01,
You mentioned Unilorin as not a tier 1. This tier-ship has struck a cord for me. Can you share, at least for the purpose of this Aussie japa, the classification of Naija versifies?

tunlex01:

Hello sir, you cannot assess a level 1 occupation.
Unilorin is a tier 2 university and as a result, any 4 year course is considered an Associate degree.
So you cannot assess as a Statistician which is level 1.
If you want to assess 224113, you need to have at least 1 year post MSc experience finished date and any previous experience will not count.

Hi house. I need your thoughts for someone who is married and don’t intend to go with his family for a start and so may not be applying for visa for them. Could this be a thing? What do you advice?

Can you list in a bullet point your skills here? Or an 4-5 lines/sentences “tell me about yourself “ for others to see and perhaps advice and point you to an opportunity? Moreso You may DM to share your CV.

This is the issue of the day at Naija today. It is really really sad. Citizens just want opportunities to lead a decent life and contribute to the country wellbeing.

Bro, have you considered learning a skill in your line of study or something completely different that is “sellable” and sustainable (you should think about this too)? Just having a degree doesn’t cut it today o esp if it is not a professional degree that gets good on the table for you immediately after graduation. How about your CV, what does it look like? How many laser targeted job applications do you do per week? Reach out o…,send cold emails and connect with many people as possible offline and online. Don’t be quiet

Come see the real issue here not about “identity and culture” you are “chasing” me around with o @RodgersAkpafu and @Marjoribanks

I always tell my people how Nigeria has helped so many of us from poor home. If not for subsidized education, I'm pretty sure i wouldn't be able to afford education.

Be that as it may, please sir can you help your fellow Yoruba man relocate to US? I love Nigeria as a country but i need to survive and help my family. I graduated 2021 with almost first-class and I'm yet to secure any reasonable Job. I cannot even afford to feed myself nor support my family. I'm considering going through study. I'd have Kickstart my application for spring but i do not have a passport yet. You know i can't continue to love my country when my life is gradually wasting away. I need to look for legal means to better my life and that of my family. I'd be 28 this year with nothing to show for it. Please can you support me in any way you can?

Baba check a trail before responding/commenting next time. We are talking about nations that have provided basic amenities to her citizens (as a starter to other opportunities to achieve dreams) and have kept a standard of life, not about “identity and culture”.

Did your forefathers called for them when they came with their guns to take control of their lands? Did they respect your forefathers culture and integrate? You are suffering from colonial deformity. A reminder; to emigrate to a society requires that one is fully ready to be integrated into that society’s ground rules. You can find a way to live your home culture as far as you don’t “force” it on them or harm them. Where you go in and expect to “immediately” import and establish your home culture, you will be having a very hard time, especially as the society never called for you but you decided to apply to be granted permit. So respect ground rules there. This is a given and a just way to live in a new society. I’m afraid this is not your case.

You r discrediting nations that have worked to earned their place in the committee of nations. Amazingly you are still at the same place/nation that you are alluding their success to arm twisting. Recall this is not even the discourse.

One thing is clear, the discourse is, they are ahead of 9ja like the distance btw earth and her closest planet in terms of basic amenities, justice and quality of life. Are these too much to have established here since 1960-2024 of Naija existence? Moreover All these are zero back here in our Naija for now and even in a very very long time to come, no one is even coming to save us. So, sir, kindly stay back, appreciate the opportunities in your current country of residence, maximizing all possibilities and achieve your goals in life(remove “I want to hammer” and I will “pepper them” mentality and pursuits….these are what lead to disappointment and frustration like you have expressed in all your responses…it became too obvious by each of your responses that you went with “I want to hammer” mindset . Focus on achieving whatever beautiful goals you have planned to achieve in your new found nation and ensure no one is hurt or k1lled while at it.

Marjoribanks:
lol! Say whatever you like about me! My message is clear! Without their superficial currencies they would be worse than Africa. Without electricity they would all be dead. It wasn't cos they have superior cultures but cos those amenities are necessities. They stole us dry to build their nation. Still backing their currencies with our stolen gold while giving it superficial rate. The world economy is in their hands nevertheless people are succeeding in Nigeria too. Many! People are living in trailers and poverty here too. So?

The joke is on you sir! no one is praising any country against Naija, but you know the realities but you chose to be insentitive and bad-mouthing all aim to discourage others from trying to get out of this "sh*t hole". You lie, sir! People will move as they find okay out of here, your minions cant stop that!

Obvioulsy you are a "street boy" over there. You do "work that they cant do" ...that is what you are all about, now you have turned a cry cry baby.. feeling bad. Check all that you stated, imagine that someone has all all this info and still living there, slaving away? Why the delusion...to what end for you? It is the likes of you who have travelled with aim on "picking money" from trees and being disappointed as you have to work to earn a living compared to "money miss road" mentality and shenanigans here. The likes will shout on top of their head that they dont want to pay tax because they feel it is too much instead of focuing on how to get more skill to command improve pay.

Come back to your "rich cultrure" and let the "slaves" enjoy their slavery. you lie too much and it is not healthy for you. Come back to roast here and then you will value the "slavery" than the "rich culture" of injustice and lack of basic amenities. .
Marjoribanks:
Most people remain in these 'so called sane' countries cos they have hold the world economy hostage by giving superficial value to their currencies. You see them as gods just like your fore fathers and they are using you as an advance slaves. Giving you jobs they can't do and then place you in a supposedly high position. Then you think you have arrived and start condemning your culture and value. They gave you scrums for you to deny your culture which you are happily doing. lol! When will you people stop being foolish by celebrating those that put your country in that bondage in the first place? Tuehh!

Marjoribanks:
I am in the United States and all these things you listed happens everyday. People who have spent 40 years or more in prison for crimes they did not commit. Allowing LGBT+ peeps to lecture kids in schools. Blocking road for festives is common here too. So what are you talking about. Police kill innocent people in their homes, random shooting of people in public places etc. What culture are you on about. USA public school system is presently one of the worse in the world. Several parents are sending their kids to Boarding schools in Nigeria. Even Trump is currently facing corruption charges. Here churches are being financed on a multi million dollars level. I have up to 6 churches within 4 miles of my home. What are you talking about?
I ma more scared here for my children than Nigeria.
In Nigeria I live in an Estate with 24 hrs electricity. I have solar panels. My children attend good private schools. Here the private schools are beyond my reach while the public schools are nothing to write home about. Many people are home schooling their kids. Kids cannot step out of their homes cos of kidnappers. Every single day kids are being kidnapped. In Nigeria, my kids can walk in our estate without any fear. Here, any mad guy can just shoot you for no reason. What da f.. are you talking about.
Rest joo. What stvpid culture is here?
No culture is better than my Yoruba culture of contentment, respect and love of family! None!
Even to get a doctor appointment here is a struggle. People are going back to Nigeria to get quality treatment for less money. Guy stop living in fantasy!

I am thinking you juwant to complain only, not ready to seek solutions. If you have increase income, you will pay your bills and have more savings if you manage your expenses. Get a boost to your skills set to command more income and diversify your income into other incomes streams and be happy. If you’re on a job or business that has low patronage or not a “high priority “ list, consider other options to get improvements to become sought after to beat the competition in the “unemployment”, What is unrealistic in this approach ?

Not sure why you decided to go south after reading a clearly worded statements. I mean is lawlessness a good culture? celebrating a gov who built a thing with our tax money a good culture? Is “pepper them” mentality and behavior a good culture? Blocking public roads because of an event, a good culture? Not been accountable as an elected leader, a good culture? Been randomly picked by police as an accomplice or because you are just around a situation-ship and you must part with money unreceipted or go jail that the individual will “rotten”, a good culture? Been scared to report a bad behavior or even assist a victim of road accident so that no one tags you as the cause, a good culture? Is praying for safe roads trip a good culture? The loud noise by people at worships places, a good culture? Is producing food and other items with full knowledge that they are substandard and could kill the consumers a good culture? Abetting and aiding evil people and leaders, a good culture? Arbitrariness with prices, policies, et el, a good culture? Carrying everything on one’s head all in the name of religion but to only discover that you were been f00lish when you have only spent a week in saner countries, a good culture? You need more reminders?as you are feigning knowledge of what we are going through here in this 9ja

Imagine one person praying not to have accident or praying for NEPA or not to be cornered by kidnappers. It is hellish and I do so don’t believe or know how we became this bad and no end in sight

RodgersAkpafu:
Do I regret leaving my corporate job to start over in the UK?

To be very honest with you
The answer is No
Not at all.

From what I have come to learn
Whether you will regret travelling abroad or not is contingent on WHY you left the country in the first place

If you left for the "wrong" reasons
You will regret everyday

I left the country primarily for non financial reasons
I was fed up with the culture of foolishness that permeates that country
The culture is wrong
The mentality is wrong
And I don't want to be in the midst of that
That's MY own reason

So regardless of my financial conditions here (thankfully I am not doing badly at all)
As long as the society remains the way it is
Then I am fine

The only thing that will make me regret leaving
Is if this country becomes a cultural cesspit like what I fled ; which is highly unlikely

May you be specially blessed! Not seen this mindset in recent times. Why will anyone japa and be thinking it is all about making money? Money will be made if you have skills and work hard as wel. But sanity and tested improved lifestyle cum expectancy is the Koko

Angelfrost:

All it takes is one kidnap case, and one's entire life savings end in ransom payment.

See, money isn't the only or main motivation for people to Japa.

Many leave for better quality of life, change of environment, and better future for their kids.

The problem with many of you Anti-Japa activists is that y'all think money is everything!

Many people who left the country would never have left if security and healthcare didn't continue to deteriorate with the corrupt clowns you people keep electing.

That's why the people who suffer and complain the most after relocating are the same money-minded dolts who care for nothing but making money at all costs... That's why they get disappointed out there.

Most of you Nigerians worship money so much... It's just sad!

Same reason many of you complain bitterly about taxation in developed nations... Because, y'all will rather earn a lot, evade taxes, and show off or pepper your fellow citizens: The Nigerian Dream! SMH!!!

Pay bills andbe happy. Plan on how to increase yourincome. You and i will continue to pay bills. It's maximising our expenses and seeking to increase income that's the way forward. Bills mostlyappear too much when income isnt meeting basics or living equal to or above income sir.

Hi Tunlex. I am wondering if the below is pacific to this occupation or general. For instance, ACS(Computer Society) stated two evidenc(s) require for employees assessment, that is, one from employer and one from employee such as payslips, bank statement, insurance/tax. They stressed that any other docs such as offer letter, reference letters and/or any other not stated as requisite will cause delay in responding. Could you share your thoughts?pls

N.B: the efing ACS is increasing assessment fee from 560 to 1450 from 28th March. With a caveat that one can expect response in 15days(as against current 8-10weeks), be assessed for 3 ansze codes. 560AUD is like 378USD=603,000 naira, so imagine what 1450AUD would be, so anyone thinking or planning on this should hurry up o lol; they extended the earlier planned switch from 13th March to 28th March…so 4days to go!

Omo, congratulations plenty. This is a lot of perseverance o

Bodacious1:
After much waiting, I finally received my grant this morning 19th Feb 2024 (189) on 85 points. It's been quite the journey and I am sharing a breakdown of my process so those waiting can keep hope alive. smiley

February 2019 - Made the decision to migrate to Australia (at this time I already had IELTS - Proficient so giving me 10 points)

December 2019 - Started putting my documentation together to assess as an ICT business analyst with ACS. I requested experience verification from my old employer which I got with no stress. However, my employer as at 2019 was not open to doing this so I had to go the statutory declaration route. Fortunately, a senior colleague agreed to help me with this so I was able to submit an application to ACS.

January 2020 - Received feedback from ACS; my experience with the employer I had to use statutory declaration for was assessed insufficient so I did not get any points for this, which meant I lost points.

March 2020 - I requested a review and provided additional supporting documentation. I encountered some difficulty at this stage because even though I provided my colleague's employment letter, staff ID and most recent promotion letter (on letterhead paper), ACS said I hadn't done enough undecided. So I had to resort to extraordinary measures. Luckily, the senior colleague who provided me with a statutory declaration has a heavy internet footprint that proved he was a staff of my organisation at the time so I provided web pages, website links and even a screenshot of his email account on our official outlook that also showed the current date at the time. I also prayed and believed God for favour.

April 2020 - I received a full positive assessment from ACS which meant I got the maximum points for work experience. Since I had all the requirements for lodging an EOI, I went ahead to lodge a single application for 189 and selected several states. Of course because of COVID-19 restrictions, the waiting game proper started.

September 2020 - Sat for PTE because my IELTS expired in August 2020. I scored 90 across speaking, writing, listening and reading so this pushed my English to Superior netting me maximum points. Updated my EOI with this result and continued waiting.

October 2021 - After consulting on this forum, I created a single EOI for SA (189, 190, 491) and continued waiting.

February 2022 - I created another EOI, this time for NSW (189, 190, 491) and continued waiting.

April 2022 - The EOI I created in April 2020 expired. My ACS skills assessment also expired so I had to apply for a fresh one in June 2022.

July 2022 - Received updated ACS skills assessment.

August 2022 - Victoria opened up so I created and lodged an EOI and continued waiting. Also placed a registration of interest (ROI) with Victoria but was not selected in the invitation rounds for August, September, October and November 2022. I was a bit discouraged at this point but was left with no other option than to continue waiting.

December 2022 - Received an invitation to apply for 189 on two EOIs (NSW and SA). This was a miracle because by January 2023 I would be turning a new age that would have reduced my total points to 10. Also, the points I had were the minimum points scored for my occupation in the December 2022 invitation round. So this was truly a miracle for me.

January & February 2023 - Did my medicals and submitted my application for the 189. Waiting game resumed.

October 2023 - I received a notification that my application was being assessed.

February 2024 - Grant received. Halleluyah! grin

Water, electricity, gas, refuse dumping (council tax should be covering), etc are man by workers and they also purchase various materials to deliver the services. Why would some be angry that he is been charged for them? Or do you wish it is subsidized? I’m not clear why water, insurance, parking bill, tv license, council tax are useless in the diaspora; I mean these collections are done and utilized. Note, my point is not about the items(tax items) in themselves but that when paid, as a citizen you will get value. Why won’t I gladly pay for them? Why should I call them useless? These “useless” bills are enacted, so you have an input to make in the process of the legislation, so if you don’t know and it is passed, you don’t call them “useless” because they have a well thought aim albeit it may not be “right” in a couple of people’s judgement and Moreso may not be the absolute best option but it is what is attainable; don’t forget enactment are “living” docs implying they can be repealed or otherwise. Just to remind you, Of course, these taxes and licenses are here in Naija too or you don’t know that bus drivers pay radio license across all states of the federation? When I pay for a services, I have a right to question its quality etc. None of these things are free in Naija; the free-thing mentality by way of reckless life(dodging bills or by-pass by electricity users) without consequences are some of the things that have somehow become culturally wrong with us a a people and this is a bane of development that have held out balls to still be classified as “undeveloped”. We are not ready with the way most of us don’t want to pay for service but want the government to “spoon feed” us; no doubt about purchasing powers exacerbated by all the reasons that we all know. We know these ills but we get angry that there is no difference when we are not ready to align our basic cultural deficits. Bro, pay bills and continue seeing value, or come back to this our reckless society so that you won’t pay bills n be seeing shege pro max lol

You will never understand until you know that things that are free here ain't free over there and most times these bills are monthly

Water bill, insurance, council tax, tv licence parking bill and other useless bills. Also the more you work , the more the tax you pay

Haba baba! Not flimsy wood abeg. There are some high standards that you easily count misalignment and of course a charge against such a person for doing substandard. Woods as choice for building some houses is in the best case possible for the context. No one wakes up and just do things without considering repercussions compared to us over here. And we have many good heart and human centered culture where man consider their impact in the now and future about an act. So people are highly educated about choices and there are consequences too(this is the beautiful part for me….if you do nonsense and you are caught, you will pay for it and deterrence is held up)

planetx:
Houses in Nigeria are actually better built than the one's in the US, that are just basically flimsy wood.

What doesn’t make sense baba? This who can’t afford have got some social insurance where they are paid a stipend pending when they get jobs. It hurts so bad to be paying heavy tax here and not seeing the results. I will go to where I will see results and gladly pay. I will consider how to mange my expenses instead of bothering about the tax that I know very well gives me all the basics of life….that I don’t have to fast and pray before I travel along Ibadan or Kano or Yola express roads, don’t need no one coming to tel me about sin or preaching repentance to me over what they are not even free from, etc

I love the idea of co-habitation and communal harmony achieved via tax. Very interestingly I have right and listening ears to pour my minds where I find a misuse or misappropriation. Naija is such a place u won’t think twice to leave. Whoever feels he wants to stay back should continue and never preach to anyone who is seeking to leave the country. If the one staying back is so convinced of his decision about improving the country, kindly go head to do it and let us that may succeed to leave come back. But at this rate, all man for himself. Note, my quest isn’t to go make it big at another country but just to have basics met, that is my goal. I know if I work hard, I will see results
femi4:
It doesn't make sense if you can't afford it. Do you think it's easy to make 1000 pounds every month over there. It is foolish to spend more than what you earn all in the name paying mandatory bills
Travel / Re: Can We Build This Rail System In Nigeria? by standfit007: 12:32pm On Mar 23
We tend to underrate good life and this is why we live the way we are in this country Naija. We don’t have a minimum acceptable and thus the leaders are unmoved to do something really “awesome”. What I will love to see happen is a legislative framework for holding leaders accountable; Naija don’t ask questions or account from leaders, so they always get away with it. Now to the main discourse, the suspension will help address the required pressure on the roads thus eliminating or reducing pot holes. Do you think it will cost more to have this over Lagos waters than the current blue rail?assuming there a sincerity in costing?
santaclaws:

I know where the Schwebebahn is located and I have lived in Germany myself. I'm just saying it's not an essential project in Nigeria right now. We need to get the basics right before thinking of this...

Nigerians are still struggling with potholes on the road, keke and danfo menace, NURTW thugs on the road, rail track thieves etc, we need to get it right first.
