Imanuelle: guy wake up jwor, y re u sounding so dumb??
please always re-read your comment before posting. I totally understand ur anger, the truth they say can be bitter, if u see no flaw in my bitter but true point(forget the typos the thread has been locked) i expect u to get a lil' bit frustrated but i don't expect you to attack me personally by calling me dumb indirectly, it has not proved anything relevant to the topic to me yet. why not put up something constructive for all to see instead of coming after me. |

Tell us how they perform in any external competition
Maybe Olympiads, Zain contest etc The world is already tired of our public uni grads. Crime and cultism has penetrated the Ghanaian school system all becos of Nigerian public schools going there, u and i know (except u choose to deny) the story of our government and its public uni content. are these the ones u want to compare u public hommies to. If u want to get good opinion why not consult labour employer, recruitment agents, places like NIIT, New horizon and co. were a good number of these grad(public and private) meet. and lets see who comes out on top. Deny all u can it is only for a short while in 6 to 10 years the gap will be so clear there will be no basis for comparison. |

I see you are really brain-washed . Not exactly, that is what all who were around during the construction of halls of residence and other infrastructure confirmed we saw material, labours, (excluding those that came a seed from chuyrch members) and the engineers on site confirmed them. if u still in doubt why not let'us calc it our selfs give ur own estimate/evaluation of halls of residence and let us do our calculaton together. u will quickly see that 32 yrs is far from it. do i need to remind u CU is the highest paying school in nigeriaa after Atiku,s dollar funded sch. |

gonzaga: I am surprised that alot of people are making comments about madonna university based on these phantom pictures posted by someone who obviously has an axe to grind with the school. To all those that have made comments on these pixs, how did you authenticate that the pictures are actually from madonna university? Which faculty, departments, hostel or area where these pixs taken from? Is it not funny that no pixs of student taking lectures, eating in cafeteria, milling around the admin building or congregating was taken? The only pixs of students shown was one taken from a long distance showing a muddy ground. How are we sure the location is in madonna? Where is the signage of the school etc,
Madonna has 3 campuses. One in Okija, Elele and Apugo in Enugu state. Which of them is this? The opening of the campus in Enugu was shown on NTA network news, was this what we saw? The NUC inspection was also televised, was this what we saw? Madonna has over the years, risen to enviable heights both structurally and otherwise. The graduate level of employment is very high and commendable vis-a-vis the posgraduate performance of the graduate at different universities around the world.
Madonna may have her issues, as with any other institution. But posting pictures that are not varifiable is sure not a sensible way of getting back at the authorities. The sad thing is that, people are busy making uninformed comments on these pictures. If most of the commentators have beign tru the four walls of a university, at least, u will knw hw student congregate in campuses, why are such congregations not shown in these pixs?
I finished my masters in uk with the university of Liverpool and I had four other madonna students in the school. Two of them will be graduating with distinction and my humble self graduated with a merit. We had issues when we were all there, but these pixs are definately not a tru and fair reflection of madonna university. Believe what u want to believe, but I have just told u the fact. Kelly Handsome was my room mate back then in the university. Those of u who attended madonna will certainly knw who this is. 2005 set!! Enjoy my people. They wont come out now, these public dude always looking to score cheap points against private sch. i bet they don't know where madonna is. their schs r def hopeless so am not surprised they 've turn to outright criticism of private sch. |

rhymz: excuse me!! So you realy think or believe that Oyedepo and Adeboye are not making profit from their Universities, HuH Dude, You are funny!! Those Guys don't give a damn about poor folks in their church or anywhere else, their ventures are strictly for profit making and no charity. . These guys understand the principles of a tycoon Capone, No charity!! Don't be decieved o!!
Oyedepo and Adeboye dont make a dime from CU and RUNS respectively. dont be decived or better still stop decieving urself. in 2005 an estimate of how many years it will takes to recoup infrastructural cost in covenant alone(excluding recurrent cost of running the sch. like lecturers salary and co.). they came up with a very linient figure of 32 years. without any form luxury attached to it. if u aint satisfied some department in CST (equivalent of science faculty in most schools ) have equipments ranging from High voltage practical lab kits running well into billions of naira. how on earth do you expect 450K X 6000 student to repay that in average of 5 years stay in the school
Big Big question that need answer. |

It is a big shame how we still conduct ourselves and continue to be sold out by our leaders. we need total overhaul from the spiritual angle, what this article has just pointed out is what any nation with mammon and power serving leadership cabal is bound to face. They sell themselves out first and they turn around to sell off anything to achieve their newly found goal in life: Money and Power |

[size=12 Olalekan 0: God bless you emmatok. @poster,i kindly need you to answer this simple and straight-forward question;private unis were virtually non-existent at the time my brother and his friends were entering the university in the mid 90s,they were left with no choice than to go to federal unis after which they proceeded to the US for their masters and further studies in ivy-league colleges that charges $50,000 and above. One of them currently works for mobil Texas and earns an astonishing salary generous enough to purchase a property in Lekki,Nigeria where his younger brother lives. All these was facilitated by the excellent education they recieved at undergraduate levels at their southwestern nigerian federal unis.
Now,my question is:Are these guys from a "kerosine background"? It shocks me to the marrows that any sane mind will claim to be rich merely because he paid 250k for university education. 250k a year is about the parking fee of some private unis whose graduates don't make noise like you do. pt] They are relatively from Kerosine Background cos most of them (UI) cant afford sch. like CU for CU students who cant attend the sch. ur so-called bros attended, they are relatively from kerosine background as well. For those complaining about covenant being 250 a year how much was ur school fee and state the school u guys attended. when CU produced first class en-mass we all complained that the standard of the sch was low now UI which sends senior Lecturers to covenant yearly has seen the true standard of CU and has followed their path. As for those mentioning 850K schools being more than 250K CU hardly charges 250K, they now have lowest tuition fee of about 350K lowest and that does not compare to the 'change' UI and OAU is paying (true Govt support). now for the guys who attended 850K sch. what sch is that? give us the name. okunoba: @Ijogz K, Its so sad reading your post and it makes me weep for Nigeria thinking people like u might end up in a position of power. Education is meant to expose us to the modern World not just in the material sense, but also in the way we reason and interact with those around us. Being civil and humble is a prerequisites of this new order and you have exhibited non of these traits in your writings. What u have shown is unfounded arrogance towards the less fortunate, forgetting that no condition is permanent. The richest man today can end up being very poor tomorrow, I have seen so many mighty ones fall and those at the bottom rise to the top. These so called Ajegunle and Alakara sellers might end up employing you someday, nobody knows what the future holds. I know many kids whose parents had so much during their university days who thought it was always going to be like that, but today they can barely feed themselves. Many of them depend on the generosity of the UK government today, some of these kids went to the best schools money can buy, but are nothing today. Many of our leaders in Nigeria came from very poor background but today are on top of the ladder. Obasanjo, Goodluck the late Abiola all came from poor families but they ended up being at the top of Nigerian society.
I have lived in the western World for most of my life and the one thing I have learnt from these Americans and Europeans who rule the World and brought the so called modern civilization to Africa isn`t how to speak or write big grammar but respect for your fellow human being, even if they are less fortunate than you. To belittle poor kids because your father as money shows you have a long way to go before u can be called properly educated and civilized. Remember your situation today isn`t made in stone, anything can happen, u could easily end up begging to sell Akara in the future. But I understand wisdom comes with age, I just pray it doesn`t elude u. Education at university level all over the world pays emphasis on character and ability to learn (Learning). as long as CU gives right attention to these two at undergraduate level and excels above the Likes of UI which your (UI) lecturers know off, they are good to go. This public sch inferiority complex has got to stop private sch are poaching Ur best lecturers and potential students via scholarships, if the public sch want to catch up Govt. should start funding properly. |
