Politics / Some Key Differences Between Niger Delta Militants And Alleged Bandits by Standing5(m): 11:45am On Sep 08, 2021
Without much beating about the bush, i write to challenge the many attempts that have been made to make the islam inclined terrorists in the north look noble and therefore like the militants in Niger Delta that were granted amnesty.

1.) The ND militancy was a reaction to situation and not a provocative action. The lands of the ND had been made useless by exploitative activities of the FG unlike in the north where they have even more land that is undisturbed.

2.) They ND militants were largely accepted in their communities they claimed they were fighting for unlike BH that are loathed and have been reported to being rejected at attempts to reintegrate them into their old communities. I must mention that only the northern leaders feel the terrorists should be integrated back so far.

3.) Another key difference is that ND didn't kill their own people like the terrorist are doing.

4.) The ND boys had clear and sensible motives for their actions. The northern terrorists not only have ideological factions but have ambiguous demands and motives so far.

5.) The ND boys made economic, security and environmental based demands unlike the
religious demands of the northern boys. I must say at this point that religion is largely a personal conviction that has no place in economic, environmental or security negotiations.

6.) The ND situation was borne out of economic and environmental sabotage but there is no such problem in the north. they have their lands, have a parallel judiciary system(sharia) protecting it as well as a notable absence of environmental degradation.

he improved agriculture to the point that Garri became poor man food and cassava was used for baking flour. It was too much garri(cyanide) that affect the eyesight of Nigerians and made them vote the wrong candidates.

Religion / Re: Bishop Oyedepo Warns Christians Against Helping Muslims Who Mention Allah by Standing5(m): 1:24pm On Sep 01, 2021
His Bible-believing enterprise is ignorant of this verse: “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers (Gal 6: 9-10)”
Doing good also covers praying for them. If I give to them as a nonbelievers then, I make myself their slave. Until they become a believer, they are not qualified as brethren.
Religion / Re: Bishop Oyedepo Warns Christians Against Helping Muslims Who Mention Allah by Standing5(m): 1:20pm On Sep 01, 2021
MaxInDHouse:
Where he got it wrong is specifically mentioning the name of a god that's of another religion!
Normally Christians aren't supposed to give any beggar a dime because there was no record of a servant of God giving money to any beggar.
The Israelites were commaded to help their neighbours who needs help, not to promote begging in their community. Their believe is that anyone begging is not a worshiper of their God {Psalms 23:1; 37:25} so instead of giving anyone in their community money as a beggar they must take good care of such a person and remove him from their streets so that he doesn't return to the streets begging because such a sight is a slap in the face of their God who claims to be the Almighty capable of taking care of His people!

So if someone says he will not give a beggar money at the mention of the name of a specific god, what about beggars in the name of local deities? smiley
He used the name of one of the popular gods to illustrate. Stop taking it personally as against your religion alone.

They've got a deal, albeit very corrupt one. Burisma company will be in charge of their oil and gas +Building of pipelines traversing former Soviet Union states. Trillions of unexploited oil/gas reserves, that the fallen Afghan govt wasn't willing to harness. The Taliban got all those billion dollar military hardware in exchange for exploitation rights. Who owns Burisma? Google. You'll understand the why of the shoddy, hasty exit.
We'll see how it pans out.
Oil isn't as relevant as it used to be.

seunmsg:
The same Oyedepo campaigned for a “Fulani vagabond” in 2019 and his darling PDP will zone its 2023 presidential ticket to the north for it to be picked up by another “Fulani vagabond”. So, how will the “error” be corrected in 2023?

Oyedepo obviously don’t rate his followers, if not, he won’t mention the “Fulani vagabond” part. How can you be using “Fulani vagabond” to campaign for a Fulani man? Atiku is just somewhere right now laughing at the stupidity of some southerners. He will so deal with them if he ever becomes president.

At least, resealable people can see the duplicitous nature of Oyedepo. He is only interested in putting his rogue friends in power for selfish self aggrandizement irrespective of the overall interest of the south and Nigeria in general. He demonizes a tribe and still campaign for his friend who is a well known rogue from the same tribe he demonizes to be president. Spits!
He only reconciled two friends in 2019 build up. It was GEJ vs PMB in 2015 buuld up when he warned Nigerians. Don't let your APC-centric soul vibrate erroneously. Even if he truly campaigned for another Fulani vagabond as you falsely alleged, I doubt that Fulani vagabond can be as bad as Buhari has been.

Government should allow people to pay instead of subsidize education.
If this is done, people will come out ignorantly and protest that our leaders got theirs almost free during their time. As subsidized as the education is, it has largely been a failure. Osun state is in crippling debts because a zealous fóol took loans that cannot be repaid to funds education while trying to sway voters.
Politics / Re: Buhari Supporter, Jack Obinyan Slams Doctors Travelling Out For Better Jobs by Standing5(m): 1:13pm On Aug 29, 2021
The world is now a global village. The education that Aregbesola took loans to subsidized can be acquired and utilized in far away Saudi Arabia. You cannot use your subsidy of education to blackmail people for ever.
That's why governance is an all-round endeavour that must be constantly balanced. Education even is free and perfect cannot be isolated from other elements of a conducive society like good communication, roads, security and Jobs and justice, or even religious tolerance.

They were quick to forget that Nnamdi Kanu was holding peaceful rallies just as Igboho is doing now before the army tried to kill him in his home.

If Fulani could tag ipob Terrorist as reason for trying to kill Nnamdi Kanu then, maybe my Yoruba brothers/sisters may as well start seeing Sunday Igboho as a terrorist too afterall that's what they too were calling Nnamdi Kanu

ocloud81:
6 Great Men Of God In The Bible Who Had Sidechicks.

Many Christians who don't read their bibles do not know that there are some notable men of God in the Bible who had concubines(modern parlance for Sidechicks or Mistresses).

1. . ABRAHAM
But, Abraham, despite being married to Sarah had concubines. Genesis 25:6 tells us about Abraham's concubines. It reads, "But while he was still living, he gave gifts to the sons of HIS CONCUBINES and sent them away from his son Isaac to the land of the east."

However, Abraham did not leave his sons by his concubines empty handed. Hagar, who gave birth to Ishmael, Abraham's first son was also regarded as one of his concubines.

In 1 Chronicles 1:32. Keturah, Abraham's "other wife" after Sarah, is also referred to as his concubine. Apart from these two, we're not told of any other women who would have been considered Abraham's concubines.

2. GIDEON
Gideon also known as Jerubbaal and Jerubbesheth, was a military leader, judge and prophet

According to Judges 8:30-31, Gideon had a concubine who bored him a son. Verse 31 of Judges chapter 8 says, " Gideon had seventy sons of his own, for he had many wives. His concubine, who lived in Shechem, also bore him a son, whom he named Abimelek."

3. DAVID

Despite David being God's favourite man, he had concubines in addition to his wives. The Bible records that David had 10 unnamed Concubines . They are mentioned in 2 Samuel 15:16, 2 Samuel 16:22, and 2 Samuel 20:3.

4.SOLOMON
According to the biblical account, Solomon had 700 wives and 300 concubines

6. REHOBOAM

In 2 Chronicles 11:21, we are told that Rehoboam had 18 wives and 60 concubines. One of his sidechicks (concubines ) was called Maaka who was a daughter Absolom.

6. JACOB

According to the Bible book of Genesis, Jacob had a concubine called Bilhah. Genesis 29:29 describes her as Laban's handmaid, who was given to Rachel to be her handmaid on Rachel's marriage to Jacob. When Rachel failed to have children, Rachel gave Bilhah to Jacob as a concubine to bear him children.

My take;

Why did things suddenly change and our wives are now trying to demonize us whenever they hear about our side chick. I think we need to rewind dis matter and let our wives know that sidechicking is in our DNA which we inherited from our forefathers.
Am I communicating?

These things I am revealing to u, your pastors will not tell you o.

Let's share this until it gets to our wives. I am just trying to help our brothers o

Christianity means Christ-like.We should focus on Christ.
