In Abia PPA won and it was free and fair
In Bornu ANPP won and it was free and fair.
How come the rigging only took place in the states won by the PDP. It is good will view sensitive issues from different angles. Are you saying it is only the PDP that rigged the election last saturday? No.
In this our nacent democracy it is too early to start thinking of having a free and fair election. And taking violence as an option will land us in another millitary rule.

We just have to accept the result in good faith and instigate no violence otherwise we will make the mistake of giving the millitary a space to get in the scene again

Why was atiku cleared and Ngige not cleared ?

Now Atiku was cleared by a judge Ngige was not cleared also by a judge. Did OBJ decide the case.? My guy brother in the last few days we have seen tremendious judgements from the courts and more will continue. Many cases wil be decided in the next few months. The court is now turning out to be de defender of our democracy

Wrong if OBj is the chief judge how come atiku was cleared on monday

THey should do the right thing which is going to the tribunal. Then if the judgement of the tribunal is not fair then the court will be the other option. This last fe days we saw the rullings the court of law has given. VIOLENCE will lead to death of innocent citizens of whm none will be Oshiomole's relatives

I still dont believe that people in Nigeria still see violence as the only way of telling people they have been marginalised. How many places has this violence helped matters. Take what is happening in warri for example. Violence will only worsen things and lead to more sorrows and more tears.

OSHIOMOLE OR OSHIOMOLE

Oshiomole made a press statement that has led to the lost of many lives and properties, so he was arrested.
He should know that he is no longer the NLC chairman.
If every politician start's using words the way Oshiomole did how would Nigeria be by now. As I said earlier two wrongs cannot make , Please do not be sentimental this is a topic for oshiomole not OBJ

@ stanech but come to think of it, i havent read any report that states he instigated the violence or was present at the so-called "peaceful demonstration". The report i read stated that he called for the cancellation of the results.

He was on a local TV and he said and I quote "I want all Edo citizens to rise up and stand against this injustice"  I watched it. He was supposed to have asked them to go about their normal duties in a spirit of sportsmanship.

This was where the whole thing got me angry. I expected the result. Everybody knew the election would be rigged but what surprised us was his reaction it was so undemocratic.

This election was rigged all over the country. So why should Oshiomole's own be different. For God's sake this is not NLC.

Though i am not from Edo state, I'm yet to meet anyone in Benin who voted for the PDP fellow that INEC declared winner.
This is a serious injustice to the people.
Oshiomohle should be immidiately released and the election be cancelled and rescheduled.

OShiomole made a statement which the press is holding down that incited the violence, he asked the citizens of edo state to rise up and say no to the poll results. Instead of asking them to go about thier normal duties so as he would defend it in the court of law.

When we are talking about change we are talking about change in all aspect including violence. Then how come those clamouring for change are equally the people leading violent protest that is disturbing the process.  Just today Atiku was cleared by the supreme court to contest the elections.

If the election was rigged and Oshiomole wants to prove he has won he should go to the court. If he really want's to serve then he should not lead a violent protest that will kill those he wants to serve.

He should have sent a message to his soppurters to remain calm and go about thier normal duties. Instead he is leading a violent protest he may have to be in jail for sometime so that he will know the difference between NLC and politics.

If his aim is to serve the people, then it is worth waiting for. What he has done is an example of "two wrongs can't make a right"

Adams Oshiomole was rightly arrested for trying to instigate a riot but his arrest won't solve the issue on ground. Instigating a riot was the best option also available to Oshiomole.

If oshiomole thinks that disturbing the peace of the state is the only way to prove he won the elections then he is not worthy to lead Edo state. There are better ways to do that
